  1. Black demons are pretty good actually, they just hit hard
  2. well i melee pretty much everything, especially for slayer. Wikia says they're weak to crush, so i'd probably go around with an ss or a z-spear, unless i find that i rarely miss with a whip you can use prayer, go into fight caves and die to restore prayer, but sounds like that strat would be somewhat time consuming. Honestly i would just don the best armor i can, and just melee away like i would anything else. It is multicombat so bring a combat familiar.
  3. Range prayer, while optional, is VERY useful for staying for long periods of time. What's your magic level? that's going to be really important if you're not going to use prayer Since both the waterfiend's magic and ranged attacks deal magic damage. i suppose with the new fairy ring, you could just eat and bank, Bunyip helps loads of course
  4. I've never tried it without a dragon axe, but I imagine it would still be pretty good, just not quite as good. It does give a lot of xp. How much, and how long of time? 2500 slayer xp, 1 wc xp for every damage you do (i believe) and some farming xp (3500 i think) it is possible to get both the farming xp and kill the jade vine in the same day, i just alternate though.
  5. i'm planning on ranging hellhounds/greater demons. Those two have low defense right? in which case ferocious ring + rune darts on rapid would rip them to shreds bronze throwing knives on yaks are already pretty darn good after all
  6. Elaborate on wine please it takes 1.2 seconds to make a wine this means you can make 3000 wines per hour if you spend 0 time banking and hitting make x. 200 xp per wine, you stop failing at very low levels (like between 50-70 cooking) it takes you like 2.4-3.0 seconds to cook a shark or monkfish and i believe monkfish is only 150 xp, sharks are 210? in other words wines are 2x faster than sharks
  7. buying broad bolts (unf) the broad arrowsheads are good too, usually buying battlestaffs Bork Jade Vine free pure essence, on the way to jade vine is kinda worth it. otherwise it's pretty bad profit buying death runes from the mage's guild isnt bad either, you can pick up bart's sand on the way. but it's not huge profit free flax is kinda meh so are free pineapples, and arhein's stockpile coconuts and papaya runs are pretty good, 1 hour per fruit, 6 fruit per tree, giant ent can provide 1.5x more fruit on average MOST fruit trees are near a teleport, just not the catherby one really. Weekly events: Circus Penguins Tears of Guthix (only if going to a slow to train skill though, debatably worth it) you really dont need to check up on kingdom management until the day before you loot the stockpile
  8. you know i never really considered dragonkin to be aligned with Zaros. But now that you mention that Zaros could balance out Guthix, i reconsidered. there ARE metal dragons at the Ghorrock fortress that and the KBD once said "Guthix should remember well that for every balance there is a counterbalance" that and i remember some other quote about dragonkin being masters of stability
  9. wines are beastly, currently they are 1.22 gp/xp xp rate is ALMOST 600k/hour cooking sharks is what... 200-300k xp/hour if you dont burn? i also took a look at cooking of sharks/monkfish. Actually looks like you almost break even cooking them right now. Maybe the economy's changed, or this is just a fluke. Haven't cooked in a while, but yeah.
  10. at first i hated windows 7 for deleting all my drivers and nuking most of my programs I am officially over it
  11. so i took some data from wikia, zarfot's mega slayer guide, and plugged in a few holes myself assumptions: zarfot-tier-slayer-skills barker toads, wolpertingers, moss titans, and fruit bats the assumptions are pretty unreasonable, but typically the data scales pretty well. So it might not be good for finding ur xp rate, it's still good for finding out what is better than what else edit: in hindsight the number for dust devils looks a little low, maybe i made a typo somewhere.
  12. Jagex only gives good rewards for high level requirements is when it is quest related or directly related to the skill. IE While Guthix Sleeps -> Tormented Demons 91 Runecrafting -> double nats 99 smithing -> 99 smithing but when you stray away from those two points, the rewards tend to fail. 99 in any skill = a skill cape with boosted def and prayer hardly ground breaking the new Elite diary that requires 93 summoning (7.2 mil xp in one of the rarer skills) gives you a measly 200k xp and some extra teleports Lets assume that the ratio of reward xp to earned xp scaled like the elite diary and lets assume that you would earn 20 mil xp on the way to full champ challenges what does that come out to? 500k xp if you only consider the summoning xp? 300k if you toss in smithing too, and still ignore fletching and the rest Jagex only gives good rewards when it is directly related to a skill, they never do it for minigames/diaries There already was a dozen people on the TIP flaming over how the 200k xp reward was too much, and how the 93 summoning requirement was too high. I can only imagine what would happen if the reward was a 13 mil xp lamp
  13. I can confirm that superheating has been nerfed The queue update also slowed down superheating by a speed factor of 1 so instead of being able to superheat an ore every 1.2 seconds, you can only do it every 1.8 seconds in other words superheating is 50% slower havent tested this with lunar plank making, but perhaps this means it has been nerfed as well
  14. piscatoris bank/shop is a great place to get harpoons last i checked probably other goodies there too
  15. wines 400-600k xp/hour, depending on how much time it takes you to bank losses are ~ 20 mil for 99
  16. i don't think your doing anything wrong. 25 kills a trip seems about right. If you want, you can turn off protection prayers and use piety instead? that's what i do. The wyvern uses melee/range/dragon breath, so protection prayers dont help that much
  17. i LOVE black demons aquanites and kalphites are iffy i havent done any aquanite tasks yet so i won't comment kalphites go down fast with a cannon though, far too fast to be worth blocking
  18. how is hunter a buyable 99? anyways cooking is up thieving is good too but isnt buyable all the buyables all really require more than 21 mil to 99, unless u use a really cheap/slow training method
  19. tried reducing your bank to 29/68 + 38 members items? It seems like beefy bill is counting your members items as f2p items 30 + 38/68 = 68/68 = full so yeah try 29/68
  20. spirit terrorbirds, fast xp but alot of clicking with the crystal chime and no charms i also choose to block gargoyles because of slow xp, and the fact that a few blue charms don't stop it from being a bad summon xp source
  21. Snakeskin boots only give +1 magic defense, practically no point in wearing them armadyl is a horrible idea. defense never outweighs offense when slaying. Food is cheap. I would never sacrifice my killing rate over a small amount of defense. PS: that info on magic based ranged attacks from aspeeder, thanks... i can't believe i never noticed that
  22. non-chafing manacles were always there, im pretty sure it was just a joke, you don't actually have to get them. I think the old man gets them on his own
  23. whether you can stay there the whole task is very dependent on your stats. I'm the kind of person that leaves when i run out of super sets, so i was not able to finish an entire task without banking once before the herblore update. Now with overloads, super prayer potions, and a bunyip pouch or two it's easy if you dont use super sets, bring 2-3 bunyip pouches and you can easily camp an entire task away. Melee armours work, but i hear that the waterfiends' ranged attack still rips through even at high defense levels. Karils works very very well, I suppose you lose out on the prayer bonus of Veracs though. prayer is by no means NECESSARY but unless you have a unicorn, you just wont be able to bring enough food. so i would highly recommend it, but if you're high enough level you can afford to turn it off when your full health.
  24. magic potions last 6 minutes a dose, or 360 seconds a normal trip lasts about 3 hours and consumes ~ 14 prayer potions(3) of course this could change alot based on if u bring an sgs, if u use super prayer potions, blah blah blah lets just say 14 prayer potions = 1680 restored prayer points. Then each prayer point buys you 6.4 seconds. lets say 30 prayer points restored per dose, then 192 seconds a dose. 360 seconds/192 = 1.875 prayer potions per magic potion lets say you have 14 slots open then about 5 extreme magic potions(4) and 9 prayer potions(4)
  25. i've actually never gotten seedpods myself, but i digress nobody does gnome restaurant anymore, almost nobody, so it's EFFECTIVELY discontinued people pay alot of money for them because they will rise alot before they reach their natural price. paying for junk isnt a big deal anyways, most merchants can just loan a GS out to toss their junk out for cash. There are other great ways to dispose of junk as well.
