  1. once you get past lvl 60-70 mining you might want to gem rocks/granite rocks xp rate at gem rocks isnt amazing, but if you wear a charged amulet of glory, you mine the rocks near instantly. The only problem is that the rocks take a while to respawn they're pretty good if you have ammo to fletch or something to alch in the dead time granite's straight forward. Painfully fast xp PS i'd consider just dropping the iron ores while @ the piscatoris spot PSS sacred clay pickaxes really arent worth it, and chances are penance horns arent worth it at your level either
  2. 60 attack/strength and 57 defense really should be enough to tackle lesser demons you can always safespot range them. I say go with slayer, at worst invest some money on mackerels/cornucopia combo
  3. whip would be definitely iron knife might be faster on a kuradal slayer task with a ferocious ring, even then it's roughly equal in terms of hp xp/hour to be honest with you, i would be in no rush to get 99 hp
  4. no, the 50 damage is dealt and you can eat up to restore your hp back up to normal Just make sure you time it or something so the 50hp you get back when overload runs out doesn't go to waste, could cost you 50hp each dose if you don't. Also, regarding the range boost from overload, 2 brew doses lower your range level to 2 levels under base, so when overload restores your stats to max range will be 2 lower than the max boost. To prevent this drink 1 brew dose (or none ofc) every once in a while or just drink more brew doses and a sup restore dose. just a thought, an overload lasts exactly as long as it takes the special attack bar to restore 100% Typically i use 2 sgs specs or an excalibur spec right after drinking an overload both for the healing and to know when im getting the 50 hp back
  5. You can't take a familiar on the balloon. :/ you can, an update a few months ago changed that
  6. very few slayer targets are worth using a warrior ring on. If you have the money get it, but i only use it on skeletal wyverns the ring might be good against iron/steel dragons too if you dont have super antifires i have a hard time seeing it being useful elsewhere though maybe dark beasts @ kuradal's dungeon?
  7. no, the 50 damage is dealt and you can eat up to restore your hp back up to normal
  8. O yea? how many can you get that way? wouldnt putting ur house portal @ taverly and setting your options to teleport you outside of your portal be faster? just curious never tested myself really
  9. So what's your thought on average hit based on a target's hp level? because inevitable you'll need to knock out a monster, and all damage you hit over the remaining hp is lost Clearly for a monster of high hp, wasted damage should average out to [Max Hit]/4, but it gets kinda obnoxious for monsters of lower hp this is just a thought I've been having, any chance you have any thoughts on it as well?
  10. im pretty sure they didnt say it lowers the drop rate of anything, *points to bladewing's post* anyways what i'm gonna take away from this is that it doesnt affect unique drops. which typically are the most valuable by far
  11. So I always keep my prayer on ancient curses simply because turmoil is beastly on most tasks but i only get +15% attack and +23% strength against waterfiends vs +20% attack and +23% strength from piety turmoil drains SLIGHTLY slower and deflect ranged MIGHT deal some extra damage but 5% attack is probably more significant than that the thing is i only slay waterfiends during tasks, is it worth it having to go back to the ancient altar to switch between curses and prayers just for a single task?
  12. Kuradal isnt much different than duradel, just add multiply the time by 1.2 or what not Typically about an hour Black demon tasks can take me up to 80 minutes without a cannon with duradel I haven't received any black demon tasks since i found out that the taverly black demons drop good charms, but id imagine it's much faster A typical waterfiend task from duradel CAN be done in an hour if you piety, z-spear, overload potion, all that good stuff expect up to 2 hours in standard gear from a substantial kuradal task Abyssal demons take long... like 150 kills per hour? Fire giants: i can down about 250 per hour between overloads, turmoil, and a geyser/iron titan in chaos tunnels perhaps cannon is faster mutated bloodvelds: can down about 300 per hour with a cannon that's all i got off the top of my head for the moment
  13. I don't think "adventure and risk" is something that fits runescape well anymore. Jagex hasn't received that many newcomers to RS lately. Noobs dying off and losing everything would be really counter productive Sure when I look back, I miss the sense of mystery that pervaded the world. Now that I've played for a long long time, that mystery is gone and I miss the good old days. But I doubt I actually felt that way when I was a newb The only people who tend to embrace adventure and risk are the higher levels, who are more secure in their wealth after all I think jagex will be slowly reintroducing "risk" through GM quests. We couldn't teleport out of movario's base as we tried to escape. They slapped us on the wrist with the black elite armour too. sure these aren't huge things, but I just think jagex wants to ease adventure and risk into RS slowly
  14. barbarian assault is a reasonable option these days i suppose But i personally rely on weekly circus runs, and spreading the training over a long time
  15. temple trekking is a personal favorite depending on how well you slaughter, it can be 500k-1 mil gp/hour
  16. This is always my favourite one whenever they add new knights. Like Ceramic Vase (Sir Amik Vas) Surviving (Sir Vyvin) Certification (Sir Tiffy Cashen) I forget the others but theres a gd 15 or so of them in-game and all are puns don't forget the mountain trolls too
  17. We rescue brother tranquility's brain, find cyrusis' courage, and retrieve arrav's heart, now we just need a giant talking head
  18. I'd say wait until more precise data about the horn comes out there's people saying that master horns last for longer, that higher lvl = more xp frmo the horn, etc lots of factors but overall it's shaping up to look like the horn is neutral to slightly better for agility, at least at higher levels The same goes for mining, but i dont hate mining as much as agility now cuz of living rocks i would seriously doubt that it's useful for firemaking, but i'll hold my breath until people release data
  19. not really I mean what use could you possibly have for it? besides boss hunting perhaps Well, Nomad. Because hes been harassing me to no end. haha. And I do boss hunt often. Why not divine btw? I'd imagine divine is much more useful for Nomad, and most boss hunts BUT I DIGRESS The shield has been rising steadily. If you can actually get your hands on one and intend to use it for boss hunting/nomad, yeah it's a good investment (as long as you still have enuf money so that buying the shield doesnt get in the way of daily activities of course) How do you intend to get the shield though?

  21. From my experience, abyssal demons average out to ~750k gp/hour, obviously differing greatly based on drop luck Dragon claws drop 1/200 to 1/300 according to RS wiki The platebody shards are ~1/500 I've personally received 2 claws and 3 platebody shards in just under 700 kills The problem with you though, is the lack of a unicorn, a huge disadvantage might I add. But with food You should be able to get at least 10 kills per hour. 16 kills per hour with piety, eagle eye, and weapon/prayer swapping 20 kills per hour MIGHT be feasible with your stats, but only if you switch perfectly As for bandos, i have no idea how long it takes to kill graardor Each individual piece of bandos gear (boots, chest, and legs) are 4.4x rarer than a hilt based on an adventurer log data trawl performed by a particularly talented forum goer on zybez I have heard people say hilts drop 1/400 or 1/200, big difference and I honestly am not sure which one is true. A particularly large armadyl drop log hinted towards a 1/400 hilt drop rate though, so i'm inclined to believe that Regardless im pretty sure bandos and tormented demons demolish abyssal demons for money
  22. O_O i've tried clicking it but it never occured to me to drag and drop it thanks alot, I might give this a shot myself
  23. a friend of mine is having a problem His chatbox is gigantic, he has tried logging on and off, restarting his computer, and clearing his runescape cache all to no avail image below
  24. Abyssal demons are quite awesome due to their negligible magic defence I fire surged them for a bit with a wolpertinger and an air staff for 90 -> 92 magic Over the course of these two magic lvls, i could probably count the number of times my spells splashed with the fingers on both of my hands ~800-1200 spells cast per hour depending on how much time u spend looting, banking, etc ~10 spells per kill ~120 xp per cast The whip drop rate is heavily tested, to be around 1/400 assuming this is true, the average value of an abyssal demon kill based solely on whip drops, is currentl 10.5k gp fire surge on the other hand costs 815 gp with an air staff, and will kill a demon in ~ 10 shots (8150 gp)
  25. Due to the fact that you're not 99 defence, I'd definitely say iron titan. I don't know why you say you value def xp more... it's quicker/easier to get 99 range than 99 def nowadays as far as I know (chins are pretty cheap for the massive XP they give) Hey does long fuse @ chinchompas give u 2 ranged xp and 2 def xp per damage? just wondering
