  1. The revs can teleport through walls / doors, which an average PKer cannot do. However they don't have brains like players (most players) and so it is a bit easier to escape them. They are rather overpowered though, every revenant has 3 types of attacks....
  2. Worst scam I fell for was giving my R2H to someone who promised to give it back. It was a "trust game" and the person gave everyone else's things back but logs out after I handed over the R2H. Since then I have followed every other person who plays the trust game and report them for revenge. But now since the trade limit I have yet to see another person try the trust game. What I probably learned is never hand someone else an item for nothing, unless you are so sure that you would kill yourself if you weren't. \
  3. Something nice for F2P might be better crossbows. No one ever uses crossbows in F2P since it's so useless when only shooting bronze bolts. Higher level bind spells might also be nice for PVP, but this is F2P so be happy with what we have. We are getting something for nothing after all. RS F2P is already pretty huge and a person can spend a lot of time playing, and continue raising stats if they wished, even after doing all quests and stuff.
  4. Only useful when you want the emotes and clothing. I have the emotes and after that I find it rather useless. Sure there's a bank space but I usually don't need it. Also, when teleported back, all monsters become aggressive again. I hate that when training.
  5. Most useful thing would be a brain, which some RS players don't have (especially those beggars). With a brain you could level up just about anything fast, and you don't get scammed (still somewhat possible even with the limit). The most important thing IN-GAME, would probably be you're RS character. You can start with absolutely nothing and still work your way to level 99s
  6. You join membership whenever you feel like it. And have the money for it.
  7. I have faith in the future of RS.
  8. If it's your item you can lend it or not. The other person can just suck it up and get their own and actually WORK for it, or they can keep asking to lend and lend and lend until they rot. Lending is like another way to get free stuff. It might be useful to help actual friends and not people who say you are mean for not lending YOUR item. They're just trying to get you to give them what they want. Don't feel guilty for not lending, it probably teaches them to actually work for their own needs.
  9. Running should be acceptable because you CAN. Whatever it takes to win, and to the people who say runners are noob because they run, what do you expect? When a player is hunted their stats are lowered so they can't just stand there and fight, so they will have to run. Go ahead and call them noobs, but when you lose what else could you say? "omfg you r so nub u hax you beat me in teh game u runer n00b" ? The hunted person can do whatever they want and the hunter should just suck it up and go kill that annoying person. Why else do they call the hunter the hunter? They're SUPPOSED to hunt down their target. What kind of prey just stands there and die?

Having a bunch of people following you won't affect you in any way. Let them follow long enough and they get bored, and maybe find the brains to know that begging wastes time. Its too bad that some people do give money to beggars which encourages them...
  11. RS is definitely not dead, as I am still playing. The "risk free" things can be good and bad, and will not satisfy everyone (definitely didn't satisfy you) but RS will keep changing like everything else in the world. If you really hate it that much, quit RS, like many others. Not saying that's bad, because you can always find something else to do, but people will still join RS and it will probably not die for a long time. Maybe never.
  12. To ignore a begger (my version) 1. Ignore them mentally 2. If they continue, try walking away 3. If they still follow, just continue doing whatever you're doing 4. If they seem persistent, maybe lead them into some monster place and force them to run 5. If there is no monsters, well... keep ignoring them 5.5 Or make them go to PVP world and kill them (which is rather risky though, and they might be underlevel) 6. If near a bank, show them whatever they're asking for in trade (making sure you don't accept) and then decline 7. Trade again, and give them a rotten tomato 8. If all else fails, put them on ignore and switch world (which I rarely do as it wastes time) There can be lots of fun from beggars if you can stand the spam they spit out
  13. Actually I do believe that a Rune scimitar is more expensive than a Rune warhammer. The rune warhammer is not totally useless, as it does have a fairly high crush attack, the problem is probably because it is slow. The Rune B-axe is also slow and has slightly less bonus than the warhammer, but it has two attacks, and yet no one uses the crush attack. I have no idea why it is so that people use the B-axe more than the warhammer, but though avoiding a problem will not solve it, avoiding it will have it not affect you in any way. And you sound like you actually want to use them, and if you do, go ahead, be one of the few people who like crush weapons and go crack someone's skull in clan wars. :
  14. I can see how it might be annoying to lose the effect after logging, but since I don't use pots this losing effect thing doesn't affect me :)

Whats wrong with a smiley face? People use it all over the internet :)
  16. I can see how the forums might get flooded, but extra bank space would still be very nice. Armor pieces in set form can be unsetted at the GE only (or did it get changed) so if somehow you need armor here and now how would you be able to access it. Ranged ammo... well, I collect all types \ , and also runes...tools are always needed, random event things I already restricted to around 4 pieces or something, and I finished all quests so I don't need that space so that would go towards space for stackables...blah blah blah... From what I remember I have 2 free spaces in my bank at the moment. 68 would be enough usually, but the main reason I may have use for more is during some event that I need to stock up on random items. Spears might suck, but it may add variety to F2P weapons choices. May add something new to melee combat, no matter how much they suck. Scimitars are not the only melee weapons in F2P, 2h and B-axe are also used, but longswords are sometimes neglected. But if spears do suck they must be cheap as there is a low demand for them, so they can be used by people on a budget. And again, a few extra bank spaces would indeed be useful, no matter how F2P have "few items". Since I still do have 2 spare spaces I do not 100% require extra space, but there has been times when I needed to buy things off the GE and fill my bank (for my personal reasons) And ..since when did this post become an arguing place over bank space for F2P. I prefer if we just drop this matter of bank space and let Jagex decide how much bank spaces F2P get :) . And now I have to go do some other thing.......that is RuneScape related.
  17. I dunno, some people might be impatient, but they should suck it up. Whats wrong with an ad, as if you don't see hundreds of these on TV, Public buildings, other websites, etc. Or ...maybe they might be too excited to wait to play RS, but the add does help support RS...
  18. Never tried getting 99, I might do it slowly, and I might if I ever become member...
  19. Wow lol, and that was for real? What a stunt :o
  20. At level 10 I think that training on cows might be good, and the hides might be sold to buy more arrows. After level 20 maybe then going to the SoS is a good idea, but at higher levels (like 40+) I would prefer the ice giants, as they have high hp and fairly low CB level, most importantly they take up space so they're easy to safespot. Only problem with that (and I think its what makes people stay away from them) is that there are also ice warriors running around, attacking people. After 10 mins of staying there they should stop, so you may stay as long as your arrows last. A more popular place for range is lesser demons, and they can also be safespotted. To save arrows, you may wish to get even higher range level so you can hit higher and more often on lessers or whatever your wish to train on. The SoS is always a good place to train range even beyond 40, but by 50, ranging on the lessers or ice giants would be best. Moss giants are another option, but they may be crowded. It would mainly be your choice though.
  21. The new uncensored thing does make runescape slightly unfriendly, but it shouldn't be a huge problem. However I do believe that some words like [wagon] should still be blocked. Not nice to call someone an [wagon] just to piss them off. The word "damn" can be unblocked, because a person might say that when upset or something, and it shouldn't be that offensive. Quickchat for people under 13 is a good idea though, as it blocks them from public talk.

And some people think melee is overpowered and fast...Anyway, I just wanted to say that ranged people are fast and effective because they survive the "boring" training until they have a good level. Taking 2 monsters at a time while training is a faster way to train range, and doesn't everyone want to level up fast? Just go to a different world or something...However, since this post is for criticizing the ranged skill, I will follow. One big thing that I hate about range is that sometimes while training they get monsters faster while you train with melee. Changing worlds is easy, but it does feel rather bad that you are the one who must change worlds and not that other guy. Also during clan wars its annoying with the hit and run rangers who run more since leather is lighter than metal, but that is a strategy. Finally, I just simply hate the fact that range takes arrows. I know the skill has to, else it isn't range, but I just hate having to buy the arrows and pick them up. It wastes time while training...
  23. I liked the removal of the video adverts mostly because sometimes when I press the "skip" button my keyboard does not respond so I cannot type anything and must refresh the page. Also sometimes happens if I click out of the screen. Waiting for 10 seconds isn't bad at all though, its like counting down a rocket launch. 10 seconds until success, or epic fun. If you don't like adverts, suck it up. Jagex has to make money some way, and if they don't put ads, runescape would collapse, meaning no F2P at all.
  24. Just ignore the people "bragging" about their stats. It might help them feel like they accomplished something if the public can know about it. However, people who say "my stat is and i bet its sooo much higher than yours" is just pathetic. Especially if your stat is actually higher than theirs. I've seen some really funny things relating to stat bragging...
  25. Spam on forums might happen but I wouldn't care about that. That's why it's called spam, you're supposed to ignore it as it's trash. F2P does have many items. A person might keep a stock of runes/arrows, 3 different armor sets, random event things, tools (picks and axes), and sometimes during quests many things need to be used. And more weapons wouldn't suck. They might suck compared to all the "special weapons" in P2P but in F2P I'm pretty sure they won't suck. But most important would probably be bank space. F2P can still get extra bank spaces while playing for free, but I can understand the possibility of the forums getting overcrowded. More weapons wouldn't matter that much, but bank space takes priority. No bank space = no space for weapons. Still, its F2P and a person can't expect too much, but since this board was made for discussing, I may openly state my wishes for F2P
