  1. You'd need higher level firemaking to obtain ash faster. The higher your firemaking the faster your burn logs/trees and so you get more ash. But if people are unwilling to get their own ash then that's their own problem. Thanks for your support anyway. Plastic is hardy. Ash is chemically similar to plastic, so it is TECHNICALLY possible to turn ash into plastic. What do you mean "pointless"? How do you expect me to change the suggestion if you don't elaborate on what you dislike or give constructive feedback. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll add it in during the next major update. Kind of like leaf litter and organic stuff right?
  2. I would prefer a whole new skill that reduces damage, not just a piece of equipment. Also known as defence. Seriously, why doesn't defence do this? Defence increases the chance that a "0" is hit. I.e. How "dodgy" your character is. Not how resilient/resistant to damage he/she is. I know, but I can't understand why Jagex didn't make defence involve reducing the damage of hits as well as increasing the chance of outright blocks. Without that, it means that as levels and weapon power increases, the likely hits diverge into an all-or-nothing state. It makes combat way too dependant on luck instead of utilising advantages. Precisely. Currently, defense is equivalent to your ability to outright dodge hits altogether. I don't see how the hell does wearing heavy armor help you dodge better. I mean, even if you block a hit with your shield or parry, you'd still take a bit of damage compared to outright evading the hit.
  3. You're talking about logicality in Runescape? Lol... Just because RS isn't logical presently isn't an excuse to aggravate the illogicality. How is it illogical that a Warhammer can have same speed as a Scimitar? So apparently you have not heard about the laws of inertia and mass, balance means nothing to you and everything is light as a feather. Rune scimitars weigh more than rune warhammers. :P There's no point having warhammers and battleaxes etc as there's no uses for them when most monsters are so weak it doesn't matter what attack style you use, and they are slower. The slower speed should mean that they are considerably stronger, but unfortunately aren't. It's good in a way though because it means F2P don't fill their bank with tons of weapons and armour. Seriously...I have around 10 empty slots in my bank, and that's counting all the "trash" - holiday items and such that can be retrieved from Diango even after being thrown away.
  4. It was your decision to restrict yourself from freely putting on and taking off the skillcape by not continuing to subscribe to membership. Jagex isn't at fault, and as they said, it wasn't intentional.

  6. How the hell does this contribute to the discussion? I have plenty of money, just nothing better to access in F2P. And even at higher levels slashing weapons are still more powerful. [cabbage]. I've never used the barrelchest anchor or the zamorak spear, but how often do you hear people talking positively about the anchor compared to the godswords? And the zamorak spear has a stab bonus of 80+ or so. The godsword has a slash bonus of +132. The godsword:zamorak spear hit rate is 2:3 (i.e. zamorak spear hits thrice in the time it takes for the godsword to hit twice). Not very close in terms of power if you ask me. Holy [cabbage] are you trying to cause people to go blind? Paragraph the stuff for god's sake. Seriously. From what I can see... Scimitar is for speed? Sorry, you mean it's for practically EVERY way of killing other than KOing, and KOing is a minor use. I might not pk much, but clan wars isn't far from PKing. It's the same killing mechanism and all that. Just no risk. I only discussed F2P weapons in the main post. You were the one who digressed to member weaponry. So do you want me to make an ignorant reply or don't reply at all?

  8. High level members, high level members. What is so great about them anyway? They've just spent more time on the game. Do they pay a premium to Jagex? No. If Jagex wishes to update low-level members, they can. I'm just offering my suggestion for lower-level members/f2p. If Jagex feels that they should give higher-level members an update, so be it. I'm going to do what I want to do. I have no obligation whatsoever to make the update cater to higher-level members. If I want to write a suggestion for lower-level members, I will. If Jagex decides it isn't the update for them, then too bad. I can't do anything about it. So you're saying that firemaking is an amazing skill for low-level members? Fat chance. Firemaking is a near useless skill for all players, member or not, high level or not. And anyhow, I'm not interested in suggesting an update for high-level members. First, I don't have experience on high-level membership or even low-level members. Second, any update for high-level members will almost definitely not be opened to F2P, whereas low-level member updates might. ---------- Regarding the trivial matters: Luck is related to magic. RuneScape is full of magic. I don't see why the hell can't a lucky charm increase/decrease random events from occuring. Afking can't be realistically solved. If you increase the rate of random events, people will complain that randoms caused them to lose drops, interrupt their training, etc etc etc. Decreasing the rate of randoms obviously doesn't solve it. Still, DECREASING the rate of randoms =/= removing randoms. There will still be a chance of random events occurring, just less often. Really, the only solution to AFKing is to create an "activity" bar, which will log out AFKers if they do not move their cursor for 30 seconds or some other length of time. I've already stated that ash armor has the same stats as rune armor, except it gives slightly less bonuses to ranged defense but doesn't subtract ranged bonus, allowing rangers to wear it. Anyhow, I'll put in the stats.
  9. Yup. That was kind of what I was trying to say. Stabbing a demon isn't going to do much damage, but slashing it will. Trying to stab/slash a stone golem isn't going to be highly effective, but crushing it or blasting it with magic will be effective. Use a spellcheck for goodness's sake. And learn how to paragraph properly. I can barely read what you're saying. I don't know what the [cabbage] are you talking about in the first paragraph. So rune battleaxe hits 22s or so, at 1 hit per 3.6 seconds. Rune scimitar hits 18s or so at 1 hit per 2.4 second. Rune scimitar hits 1.5 times faster than the battleaxe, so it'll do 1.5x18=27. Much more than the battleaxe. Even if we assume scimitar only hits 16-17 and battleaxe hits 23-24, the rune scimitar still hits more. So the only use for battleaxe is as a "KO" weapon - until the rune 2h comes in. And about the second paragraph: Your point being? I've already stated that there ARE some monster exceptions like waterfiends and such where crushing/stabbing excels. However what I'm saying is the lack of enough monsters that are resistant to slash but weaker against stab/crush to make crushing/stabbing weapons more useful.
  10. I've updated the thread and put in the EXP for smithing the items and some miscellaneous minor changes.

Ignorance is bliss. Just stop wasting your time replying to his [cabbage] and get on with the game. No point starting a (surprise surprise!) pointless argument.
  12. Full support  There's really no reason I can think of for not supporting this...

Where do you live? If you live in US then I'm ~~15 hours ahead...so if you play at about 9p.m. I'll have to play at 12 noon or so...
  14. So through some miraculous event Jagex decides to listen to you and change the weapon animations/appearance back. More people will whine to change it back. Then after Jagex obliges them, some others will whine to do otherwise. Ad infinitum. Jagex is always sitting on a see-saw. They can't please everyone, but as long as they please enough people, it's good enough.
  15. I've added the "Music" section based on Sonic3190's suggestion. If anyone wishes to contribute a better name or some other suggestion, please feel free to do so.
  16. Full support. Would really make things more convenient for mages (esp. those who suck in maths  ).
  17. Ok, you have your opinion, I have mine. -- Anyhow, Jagex is similar to a government because a government controls a nation. Jagex controls the players in a game. Definition of Nation: A relatively large group of people organized under a single, usually independent government; a country. Similar to Jagex and players don't you think?

A person engaged in the purchase and sale of commodities for profit, esp on international markets; trader. Looks like you're right. Anyhow, there's not a single reference to "price manipulation" in the dictionary with regards to "merchant".
  19. We talking here doesn't contribute to society or community either. We slaughtering others in PvP worlds are wasting their hours of effort training to get cash to buy their armor or whatever. I could go on with tons of examples, but you get the point. People are selfish. Most don't give a damn about "contributing to society". Most companies or other organisations donate to charities not sincerely but just to boost their public image. I'm selfish too, but I do rational self-interest. I get seeds from monster drops, plant thenm, harvest herbs, make pots, sell the pots. People get my pots, I get a buttload of cash. That is what I am talking about as far as contribution. But when someone buys some herbs, then sells them for more, and keeps the cash, and that's it, I don't think this does anything for anyone. The difference is other people benefit from my selfishness, but not from the merchanters. After reading this discussion, I have to agree with every point you have made. Who? --- I've already said nobody gives a damn for contributing to society. Tell me - is your main intention of selling pots to get money and exp or to really "contribute" to society? Obviously to get the cash. And that is not "contributing" to society. Anyhow, even if Jagex deems that merchants don't contribute to society whereas players do, what can they do about it? If people want to buy low sell high, let them. Everyone buys a house, then sells it a few years or more later for a profit (as far as possible anyway). Governments aren't doing a thing to block these people who don't "contribute to society".
