  1. Not having tokens is fine, they come quickly at higher levels (80+ specifically), be sure to invest into your berserker ring asap (at least T5) as the str boost is more than significant. edit removed wrong information
  2. wines are 1000x more expensive and the xp is only like 1.5x faster so meh i included it in my guide though (www.youtube.com/soulwarsrs) ^gross exaggeration. Time is money anyways, and the time saved using wines is significant enough to make them worth using over fish.
  3. CAUTION:THE FOLLOWING ADVICE MAY OR MAY NOT RESULT IN YOUR EXPERIENCING THE PHENOMENON KNOWN AS "FUN" WHILE PLAYING RUNESCAPE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The most efficient route for you would be this. 1. Dungeoneering for a rapier whilst farming herbs/mtk/dailies etc. Should easily net you around 40 mil if it takes you two weekes to complete. 2. Spend the cash on extremes leaving some for base slayer gear. 3. Continue slaying with piety on every task and using extremes until you have cash for turmoil. 4. Get turmoil (pick frost dragon bones or dragon bones and stick with them. Doing frosts and going back to regular is painful and when I did it I ended up just making the cash for more frost bones). 5. Slay like a boss. 6. Level up summoning as your cash and charms allow. Herb runs ever 1.5 hours, dailies, and MTK should be done throughout this whole process. If you would rather make the cash for turmoil before slaying your best bets are green/blue/red dragons. Unf potions with a scroll of cleansing. Or mort myre fungi. If you haven't done blood runs deep/void stares back/nomads, they will all net you around 650 k+ prayer exp. WGS will also add 400 k. While doing the prereqs for WGS try to pick quests that land you exp lamps to spend on prayer, or reward you with prayer exp. WGS also nets you 3 Milish in cash to help buy more prayer exp. Hope that helps. Edit To break up the boredom you may experience while dging work on herblore habitat for farming juju's. Each ugene seed nets you around 3 mil more profit of your herb runs over the course of the potions made from it.
  4. No. Just aggro them by attacking them once and continue back on the queen.
  5. Inb4 the boost to whips str and attack makes it as good as a chaotic rapier making all my dging thus far worthless.
  6. No. Just no. Please, please, please, don't say things without backing it up with evidence. Analysis of turmoil boosts show that LRC have negligible (or absolutely no) defence, so ANY style will be effective on them. And a Godsword is just SO woeful that even IF they had some sort of inherent weakness to crush, it STILL wouldn't be the right thing to use. You'd think by the number of threads that we see of this EXACT question that you would have learned to not give wrong advice by now. All the data I've seen, though admittedly mostly older studies, has shown while they have low defence they do have a weakness to crush and that below certain levels/gear crush results in higher DPS than you're standard fast weapons that don't have crush; bearing in mind of course most extensive studies are performed by maxed players which does occlude the factor of things balancing differently at lower stats from their outcomes. In personal experience a few levels back I certainly found crush on SS gave me better DPS than trying a whip or w/e did. As for BGS he said he had it, that's the only reason I said it'd suffice; its obviously not the best choice. As for other threads with this exact question, all the ones I've come across have recommended crush for people below certain stats (somewhere around the lows 90s iirc) Link the research? If he has a bgs the best advice is to sell it and get a sarasword or zammy spear if you are indeed convinced crush is worth using (which it isnt), both are cheaper and better crush weapons. Their crush weakness, if it exists, isn't significant enough to justify using a crush weapon over a whip+ddef.
  7. Level to 50 through tears of guthix, penguin points, troll invasion, and exp lamps. At this point you can "bind" 2 items that will always be with you in every dungeon. Use these two spots to bind the highest tier platebody and 2h that you can. Then go into a dungeon and do every floor on complexity 1. Once you've completed all your floors (24 being your highest?) hit the reset button on your party interface outside of a dungeon. From then on do all of your floors except for the highest 5 you have available on complexity 1, and your highest five on complexity 6 small or medium (medium providing more exp). Monsters in dg have weaknesses that are greatly exagerated, meaning a crush weak monster will die significantly faster to a crush attack style than a slash or stab attack style. The best way to learn these weaknesses is to play and experiment but some are intuitive, such as skeletons being weak to crush etc.
  8. Because no ones goes to meta game for h&a. Also all the new good data on the subject is on a forum that we can't link.
  9. Ardy cloak is worth noting as well.
  10. People don't like it when you tell them they're wrong. Metagaming communities are typically disliked by the general population. For example, the metagame community on world of warcraft is called "elitist jerks" because a lot of people hate them. The flaming comes inherently with any metagaming community. At the end of the day, there's always people like hevendor that will explode with irrational rage if you so much as tell them they're doing something wrong. Ah, the queen of efficiency rears her ugly head. I've yet to explode with any irrational rage (before you go quoting a pm convo I had with tui, that was on something purely between him and myself irrelevant to this) but your clanners like usa hell yes seem to really like "exploding with irrational rage" as shown in the chatbox pics. It's a shame DGS leaders started listening to you  was a pretty decent community til efficiency and elitism took over (and to quell a few retorts before they surface: elitism doesn't have to come in the form of level reqs, many times it's an attitude, and a lot of DGSers show it.) All of the efficiency elites are the ones who started this clan. Grimy, Obt, Cheesy etc. You [bleep]ed up in a dungeon and can't handle any sort of criticism, go cry somewhere else and don't let your skirt get caught in the door on your way out. And stop spamming this thread, some people read it to learn about dg, not to hear you [bleep]ing about not having the capacity to handle being told you screwed up.
  11. Yes it was, you never need that much defense on any monster you should train on or for slayer. Anything you would need that much defense for should be prayed against, and since you should be praying piety/chivalry all the time anyways you want prayer bonus from veracs/prossy.
  12. Grenwalls only approach than number if you have a 90+ hunter, ideally 99. Also you need scentless potions from HH, 69 summoning, and a bonecrusher. On top of that its constant micromanagement of traps. Really I don't see why making money is a chore, farming herbs, investing into MTK, doing your dailies, and flipping will bring in minimum 20 mil a week. It was my friend who was 2496 total telling me about these- also suggesting I get the last few levels to be able to catch them. Farming herbs is a chore >.< I hate it. That being said I'm interested to see what other responses this thread will bring in. If spending 5 minutes to make 200+ k is a chore then you can't be helped. Also, having a high leveled friend doesn't make his advice good, which it isn't. At 77 grenwalls catch rate is so obsenely low you're better off picking mort myre fungi, hell camping the ranarr spawn in the edgeville resource dungeon would probably be better. At the first sentence... I have 99 prayer and I can assure you that I didn't bury 1.2m regular bones to get it. I am perfectly good at making money, however with frost dragon bones down I am looking to find alternative methods. Furthermore, gathering runes and equipment etc to do a farm run is infact a hassle. My dislike of farming doesn't mean that I'm hopeless at making money. Gathering runes/equip etc takes less than a minutes. Disliking 5 minutes of effort for 200 k profit or more is disliking one of the lowest effort and highest profit yielding money making methods in game. If you're so good at making money in ways that surpass that then why post ones you arent sure about? Especially seeing as this isn't your thread and you're high-jacking it. At the second sentence... It doesn't make it good but it makes the advice worth considering. I don't particularly appreciate the flaming. I did say in my post that I don't have the level to do it but that I'd heard it was good. There wasn't much of a chance of me knowing it had a slow catch rate- nor did I imply that it was something the OP MUST do, it was simply something to look into. I didn't flame you, I pointed out bad advice was bad. You could have and should have double checked his info before blindly posting misinformation.

  15. A rune scim will be better exp/hr than a dbaxe. Get a d scim or a brackish blade. Edit Get a dds for specs as well.
  16. Bring more healing in the form of brews or food. There isn't really a good substitute for EE. All I can think of is guthans (ew), and the dream spell combined with a regen bracelet (lol). A 360 killing you while you melee should have nothing to do with your healing though...it shouldn't be hitting you at all. Which means you're either kiting it incorrectly or you arent praying magic.
  17. ^ assumes slaying conventionally to make money to use for powerslaying later is fun. wut?
  18. Ape is worth doing @70, if you hate the wildy do werewolf.
  19. People who use AHK are rapists and moral nihilists. DGS does not condone nor promote the use of botting programs such as AHK. Jagex has no sympathy for it either. I got a 2 weeks ban for doing it, starting yesterday. I was following the 1 input 1 output rule @ teaks but I guess it doesn't matter to them. what exactly where you ahk'ing at teaks, dropping the logs? Yeah, I was training at Tai Bwo Wannai. I had no idea there was a new deposit box after Deadliest Catch >_> I saw it was there after Itam posted a picture in his blog yesterday. I made some of my own scripts for dropping logs and cleaning herbs, all following the 1 input / 1 output rule. But I guess as long as it appears inhuman they don't care. Has cleaned over 50 k herbs with AHK and not been banned. Same with dropping granite and fish while doing my C2's
  20. Black warlocks max at just around 110 k exp/hr, herblore habitat is much faster. Barehanding butterflies is really only worth it if you value agility exp greatly.
  21. Because they're extremely slow slayer exp given their high amount of hp, time it takes to kill them, and needing specialized weapons to kill them effectively. They are not like waterfiends, which drop valuable charms. Picking up noted drops that might at the end of it all barely add up to 100k gp and gaining less than 15k slay exp per hour is not something you want to do when you're looking to maximize slayer exp. What specialized weapons do you need to kill them? They have virtually no defense to speak of...
  22. Posted that after being awake for 40 hours straight and working a twelve hour shift. My bad.
  23. Have fun making less money than you would at edgeville men.
  24. If you want to slay stick with extremes until 93, then get ovlds for bossing/ice stryke tasks.
  25. He told you exactly what to do. Alternatively you can do your C1 floors for dg on C2 and fish all the spots for around 70-100 k exp/hr depending on level, plus it gets your low floors out of the way. about the above post bring 9 fishing urns and 2 granite lobster pouches for the faster catch rate. When your urn is full teleport it for the extra exp. Bringing a master penance horn double the agility exp you get from it. Low alch the fish as you catch them. Resummon your granite lobster when the first is going to run out.
