1. Wow. Just wow. A very big congratulations! =D>
  2. He's talking about gaining the fastest xp possible still while maximizing profit. For example, Woodcutting: The fastest xp is cutting Ivy which yields 0 profit, while cutting Magic logs would yield the most profit per log while giving extremely slow xp. His example of cutting Maples gives, in theory, both xp and profit at reasonable rates without completely sacrificing one for the other.
  3. I'd have to disagree with you there. Perhaps members have a different mindset, but I feel that my accomplishments have value, at least to me, because I know how much work they took and personally have enjoyed the faster xp rates that updates over the last couple of years have brought me. Our accomplishments are only as valuable as we perceive them to be, and I feel that you shouldn't try and achieve something simply to impress others. I don't feel the gains I'd made in Mining were diminished when they released first the resource dungeons and then the unrs (I was at level 97), instead I enjoyed the fact that I could achieve higher xp rates without losing all the ore. I wasn't upset that it took me what felt like forever to reach 50 RuneCrafting so I could access the guild and play GOP, and now it can be done in a day. Instead, I'm glad that new players, perhaps with less drive to reach goals, will no longer become frustrated with the game and quit. The game is going to evolve and change, and if it changes in a way that helps it last longer then I see that as a good thing.
  4. That seems like a well reasoned and thought out solution to the issue. Hopefully, there aren't too many people who will have to be put on the watch list. I know I usually only update every few weeks, but this last level puts me squarely in position #200 on the active list. \:D/ I didn't want to overtake joansueann7 strictly on xp totals. It was a Ranged xp lamp, if you're at all interested. And yes, I used it before taking my total xp pic. ;)
  5. Or while drunk? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXzwAXzUwwE

  7. Every time I come here, your xp numbers get more and more impressive. Congratulations! =D>
  8. Congrats on all skills 80+, Slaya. And early congrats on 99 tree killing. Hopefully I'll be home from work in time to make it to your party.
  9. I have a Blue H'Ween Mask, 60M cash, and ores to superheat about 75M worth of steel bars...so about 245M total worth.
  10. As predicted, I made it to 54 DG last night. \:D/
Which unlocked...nothing. Floors unlock on odd numbered levels. It's been so long, that I'd forgotten that. And yes, that floor took me forever to finish. Three key doors (with all three keys in the furthest three rooms), two puzzle rooms (one of which I'd never seen before and had to look up), guardian doors everywhere and more level 70+ creatures than any three floors normally have. That's easily my worst time for a small since I first started DG'ing. -.- But before gaining that level, I also gained a Defence level.
Which was surprising. Apparently I lied when I said combat levels would be few and far between. Although, leveling while fighting the boss seems to be an emerging theme. And, finally, I also gained a Crafting level.
All of that from the same floor! It almost makes up for the abysmal floor time. I now have over 7800 tokens, so I'm more than half way to my first rewards goal. I'm going to get in and get some more tonight, and I'm hoping to have the 15500 tokens I need in the next few days. I guess we'll just have to see. We all know how long it can take me to reach even the simplest goals. Me too. But don't worry, there's still 15 more you can (eventually) celebrate with me. :P
  11. Welcome to TIF. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. :)
  12. Ohai, Brah. |^_^| Of course I remember you (it's hard to forget a Harpy :P). Glad to see you're back, but why the new forum name?
  13. No update the week. ([qfc]16-17-871-63990070[/qfc]) I guess they're saving the new quests/Al Kharid update and Botany Bay for the end of the month.
  14. Good to see you back. Didn't see you around much before, but that's not a name you easily forget. :P

Mining. It was the first skill I started leveling once I left tutorial island, and it became my first 99.
  16. Just a quickie today everyone, but look at me being good and posting updates in a timely fashion. |^_^| Shortly after I made yesterday's wall-o'-pics post, I did a bit of Dungeoneering and got this:
Daemonheim is really the only place I do combat, so for now the levels are few and far between. I'm going to restart my goal of getting an Arcane Blast Necklace, and maybe even a Tome of Frost one day. I've only got around 6000 tokens right now, having bought gem and coal bags, so I've still got a ways to go. Right now I'm only a few thousand xp from 54 DG so I'm going to try and get that tonight, buy my solo times are still pretty high (25+ minutes per small) because I tend to kill and open and mine and smith and craft everything in sight. I know I'd probably get higher xp rates in teams, but then I wouldn't get to kill and open and mine and smith and craft everything in sight. :P
  17. Honestly, that's exactly what I did. If I watch a video, I'm not going to sit there straining to try and hear what's being said for more than a minute or so before turning it off. This is why you do sound checks before the broadcast, not during. Besides, I knew the rest of you would fill me in. I got the highlights without all the filler. ;)

Things change over time. If the game had never changed or evolved in any way, shape or form then it never would have moved out of Classic and probably wouldn't have lasted two years. If you want to keep playing RS but don't want to deal with all the changes, then go pure F2P. Things hardly ever change for us. :P They didn't have to, they chose to. Only a fool never changes his mind. Of course, they completely misread how the player base would respond and underestimated how prepared they were to deal with the bot invasion that followed. <_<
  19. Agreed. I turned the volume on both my laptop and the video and I still can't hear him... <_<
  20. It's been the better part of a month so I guess it's time for an update.
  21. Greetings, blog lovers! So once again I have wandered away from my beloved blog and into the dark places of teh interwebz (the horror...the horror ), but not away from the wonderful world of RuneScape. I have been a busy little Kaida the last couple of months and have gained levels galore! \:D/ I've also sorted out my image hosting issue and will be using photobucket from now on. Although I will miss ImageShacks' bulk uploader program, photobucket has a web based one that looks like it will be just as good. Speaking of which, here's the wall of pics I promised you all back when ImageShack decided to be stupid. <_< [hide=lots and lots of pics (you've been warned)] [hide=second 65 Cook pic] [/hide]

[/hide] tl:dr version (and who could blame you? :P): Cooking 65-73 Fishing 62-70 RuneCrafting 63-70 Prayer 49-50 Magic 75-78 Smithing 77-78 Combat 70-72 Total level 1025-1058 I RC'd in RuneSpan (ofc ;)), fished lobsters to 70 and then cooked them, dumped all xp lamps into Prayer, and continued with superheating steel. I've kind of been all over the place, and it's been loads of fun. I've also been using urns as much as possible, and even been crafting them myself 100 at a time. Once they're used up, I know it's time to move onto something else for a bit. I now only have two non-combat skills below 70 - Crafting and DG. I'm going to work on getting them up to 70 as kind of short term mini-goal while I work on superheating all that iron and coal. I also completed the 200,000,000 accounts event. Too bad non mems couldn't keep using the Boogie Bow..although, if we can't why did it stay equipped on both of my other accounts once the event was over? As you may have noticed, if you were crazy enough to have waded through that whole pile of pics above, I also participated in the Gielinor Games winning the first weight reducing clothing for F2P. And somewhere in all this, I also managed to help with the Diamond Jubilee celebration and got a scepter for my left hand. Whew! There we go. The last couple of months, and a busy couple of months they were, all squeezed into one post. I really need to start updating this blog more often. It took me most of the morning to organize this. Oh well, that's what I get for procrastinating. Finally, I'd like to send out a great big thank you to all the wonderful people who have sent me congratulations on achieving 99 Mining. Several people have since I last posted, so thanks to all of you. <3: Until next time, true believers! |^_^|
  22. Hey, Correct. Good to see you've made a blog here. Good luck with your goals. :)
