Lol...what scares me the most out of all this is the fact that before this, I legitimately wanted to return. Now, with all that is going on, it scares me knowing that I'd be returning to what is, in all sense, 2006. I'm just glad that p2p is optional...

@bladewing: that's kinda harsh, knocking someone's beliefs just because they're putting up a legitimate arguement. Jagex seems to be at the point now where they'd rather sacrifice a chunk of the older generation if it means bringing in a newer one, and sadly, that's pretty shallow. I'll put it in a different perspective: Let's imagine jagex as the warden of a jail, and the jail consists of banned accounts. They decide to introduce a new policy that allows lifers to get out of jail. The question is: would you be happy if a child molester lived in your neighborhood? Chances are, most people would say no. Jagex is just introducing another fault which is ultimately gonna push more people away than it'll attract. New idea jagex: if you really want to get attention, then give us that smithing update that we've waited years for.

I'd actually like it if this fight resembled something like at ba. You'd have pools in each of the corners of the room, and would have to dip your weopen in the pool to correspond to the color of her shield (ie: if it turned green, then you'd need to dip your weopen in the pool before she could be damaged).

Lol...there was an interesting attempt that happened back in 2007. I was training def at the mossies in varrock sewers when a guy pm's me saying he had an awesome way for me to make some free gp. I add him to friends, and immediately notice that he's on the other side of that agil shortcut. Anyways, I accept, but decide to only ask questions during the entire thing, hoping to annoy him severely. He starts talking about transferring money to my acc, I ask how? He says he'll need my p/w, I reply why? He repeats his first line, I repeat mine. This convo continues for 5mins, until he finally logs off/removes me from his list. Either way, too funny

I'm gonna toss an interesting one up: giving f2p access to monks/granite armor. They wouldn't be able to obtain any of'm off drops, it'd be more like what they did with maples pre-dungeoneering.

Meh...tis always good to give people some sort of incentive for completing goals. Heck, I remember back when I was just starting. I only had 50combat, mind you my total lvl was up around 900. I was getting combat up so I could start doing the 'tougher' quests, when a guy in full verac's came up to me, offering me a challenge. The challenge for me was 'either complete heroes, or get 65combat in 2 weeks'. I accepted almost immediately, seeing as I was going to do'm anyways, and ran off to go kill mossies. 2 weeks go by, and I've completed both goals (getting up to 75combat in the process), so I decide to head off to castle wars and have some fun. Sure enough, as I begin to bank, I see the guy again, still in veracs. He offers me a trade, I accept, and he puts up 4k dragon bones. We both accept, and he teles, sending me a pm saying 'feels good to have an incentive'. Even if you don't complete the challenge, it should still give you a huuuuge push in the right direction, possibly toward a quest cape...

@star: what you need is something to take focus off of it. My advice: find something that keeps your focus even when you aren't doing anything...aka, either a portable game or chew on a penny. Both are also good ways to quit other bad habits.
