Book Recommendations?
Absurd Drama is always a good read... been reading alot of them this year... End Game, by Samuel Beckett.. Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut Jr, any of the Theater of the Absurd... but you seem to be more into story telling than anything else.... Have you read all the Narnia books? The previews for the new movie look great, if they do a good job with it it'll be LOTR #2. :)

New sig. Booya.
Too much red on that signature Teenageloser.... I can't stand looking at it because of that... It's too bad too, because the linework is great.

I don't quite like the bottom picture. My eyes keep trying to look at the shore, but it isn't there. Nice work!

Pillow Fight )))))))))))))))))((((((((((((((((((((((((()))))
I just finished speedpainting an oil on canvas landscape... I'll see if I can get it uploaded, turned out pretty nice for about an hours work. (30minutes spread over 2 days). And it was my first time ever painting with oils.... to each his own right?

The clouds/pillow sheds are great! Keep going. :)

Because pure opacity brushes make you build up color and create a more interesting look. They also require more skill. But the end result is worth it. You should try it out, it would look very cool.

What types of fonts do you guys all like??
Arial, Century Gothic, Impact... I think those are my favorite and most overused fonts.... Then again, I only have the windows defaults installed on my machine...

Graphics Competition (J_Rod vs. Magicmage101)
Why do you fools insist on calling each other by your first names? This thread is pointless and [developmentally delayed]ed.

Which is why I try to stay away from realism.

Dark Side of the Moon- New Version[s] Added!
The rule of thirds is something generally associated with animation and composition of interest and action. However, it can be applied to static images. But not that signature. The dimensions are far too elongated for that rule to apply. Instead you have to rely on any sense of design that you have. As I've said before, what is the first thing a preschooler does when you give him a yellow crayon and a piece of paper? He puts a big yellow sun in the corner. That's why I said it's childish. You don't seem too open to criticism so I won't give much more. But hopefully I have clarified the intention of my comments.

Dark Side of the Moon- New Version[s] Added!
Composition and balance is way off. Stay away from round objects in corners. It's too common and childish. Has potential, though.

You like that word "incidently" don't you.... :o I use the pen tool when I need a good curve... I'm a pen tool [bleep]... I would never draw anything. I scan it in + trace with pentool. That's the only way to go. Unless you are airbrushing and stuff, but for that a near-perfect curve is not needed. :)

New Drawing, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind.
That's absurd.

Tttia, I think you're the only person who doesn't look at the screen when they are drawing.... :-?

Rate Banner ~ for another site
Although the theme is vague, the placement of all the random people doesn't work. I understand the point, but I think you should get rid of all that stuff.... And I don't think a monochromatic thing works for this.... I don't know how to say what I'm trying to say right now so I'm just going to stop....

Origami Crane [3D]
Too overdone.... looks fine like this I think. It would take all of 2minutes to slap a wood texture on there, and it would only detract from the model. Thanks Freesy.

the percentage bar?!????
Lol. Your last two posts in this thread seem ironic.

Only if you're drawing blind. The distort is very minimal and hardly even noticeable.

Origami Crane [3D]
I think doing a proper light setup for someting like this is almost as hard as modeling it....

Back to oldschool
I believe the secret to cross-hatching to be inconsistency in strokes... The rest is just basic shading... dark places get alot of strokes, light places get very few distant strokes.. :) Did you take a vacation?

I have dual 19" monitors and I'm using a 8.5"x6" WACOM DigitizerII... our higher end machines have even bigger tablets....

Origami Crane [3D]
Maybe like 2 hours making the thing in real life and then modeling... Modeled in Softimage|XSI.... actually could have taken longer I don't really remember... Froth, the one you speak of is a different one, or that's when you blow into the bottom and it inflates... I have 3 of them I made sitting here on my desk from an instruction book, and that's exactly how it came out in paper.... Thanks for the comments. :)

eeek job interview!
It's wendy's.... I mean come on.... Just go home and change your clothes. Put on some nice jeans and a nice collared shirt... If I was hiring and I saw some guy walk in with a tie and slacks on I would be kinda wierded out... You CAN over dress yourself... They will probably tell you your salary when you walk in. Places like that pretty much hire 90% of the people they ask to interview. If they weren't looking for someone they wouldn't have pulled your application and called you for an interview.... It's wendy's dude....

Digital Camera peeps
Just compare all the ones with the most features. Keep in mind certain things like higherMP, opticalzoom vs digitalzoom, max shutter speeds, etc... Good luck with your purchase :)
