Now a lot of crap makes more sense. Thank you for that. However, my previous statement about this section of the forums being full of ADHD people with short-term-memory loss still stands.

You ripped another portal out to escape when Tyler killed you, remember? Yeesh. It's as though FG is full of short-term-memory-lossed ADHD people. Wait a minute...

I'm sure that's true for maxed players. I'm talking about the average player who attempts to kill Nomad. Saying it doesn't take any skill is pretty ridiculous. And yes, several Dungeoneering bosses take skill as well. That's why Dungeoneering is one of my favorite updates of all time (incentivizing the grinding, while rewarding it with fun gameplay, while having useful rewards and perks). i killed nomad without any 80 combat stats but hp, ammi skilled in doing so? not really the mechanics of the fight are pretty straightforward its just a dps/endurance race Not to mention knowing not to step on the 'mines,' knowing to hide from his 700(i think)-hitting attack, to hide from/autoretaliate the clones, the brew up when he freezes you, to use a cargo familiar until you're out of food.... I see Nomad very much like I see Dwarf Fortress. If you do everything right, and in the right order, with the right amount of experience in having done so (i.e. skill), or with the right amount of sheer brute force (i.e. steel titan, ovls, and turmoil) you will succeed. Otherwise, you basically get dumped in magma. (And sorry for those who don't get the reference; you'd have to have played the game.)

The Back Room
Declare war on the ocean with longrange dwarves who can swim. I mean, you could try and hack a whale to death with a battleaxe, or put a crossbow bolt through its skull. Which one would work better?

Why not? Some people play quests for the fun believe it or not. I'll just have to respectfully disagree with your argument I think. THANK GOD FINALLY. Now, let's end this rather long-winded tiring, and seemingly pointless debate, and go back to discussing the BTS. So, we've seen the Void quest. What do you guys think/hope/wish Charm Sprites will be like?

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
I've heard this quite numerous times, and it never made sense. It seemingly implies that every negative statement, be it criticism, or otherwise, is not accepted. That never made sense to me. Some speech fits in this category, and as such may not be wanted on TIF, but the generality that "if its not good, don't say it" is rather asinine. How about we roll with "If it's not positive or helpful, then it's not going to do anyone any good unless you're trolling; so don't say it." Helpful criticism is good. Saying that one of someone's better times isn't all that good because the pros can do it better... isn't. Now, somebody please post a picture so we can get this back on topic.

I'd like to be able to enjoy the lore of Runescape while in the game without enduring seemingly-endless hours of fishing/runecrafting/cooking/farming/what have you. If you'd prefer that the ingame lore of runescape be restricted to only those who can tolerate that, I guess that's just a difference in opinion. Now, can we PLEASE get back to discussing the BTS instead of "AMG QUEST REQS TOO HIGH/LOW/GRINDISH/FULL OF MONKEY POO." I personally can't wait for the make-x improvements. Makes smelting for smithing that much easier.

Agree, and go on my way.

06-Oct-2010 - The Void Stares Back
Has anyone else noticed that Jagex tends to give certain characters a personality that's really kinda detailed, then just have them 'killed' in a GM quest? I mean, really? I kinda liked Kurasi, Hazelmere, and even Nomad. (Granted, the "go die in a hole" bit from Nomad was a bit offsetting, but still....) <_<

Earth, I think that's what normal people would call "tripping balls." You should probably lay off the sugar.
