  1. A more aptly chosen leaving picture could not be. Nixon: A man that was found as decent in the public eye, except those who really knew him could see he was not of the best character. Then, Watergate, when that character spewed out into the open in a scandal of epic proportions. Seriously, Edel/Hex/whatever, you're going towards Hexish trolling ways. Please don't; let this forum rest in peace if you think it's going to die off so easily. Also, Doom is the calmest and the most sane of any of us Taverners. If you want proof.... well, she's not posting in this epic massive flamewar, is she?
  2. Team Trinity Isabel miscasts, and instead blows the alligators' skin away with a temporary portal to the plane of darkness. The portal only lasts a second, though, and vanishes before you can do anything else regarding it. +0.1 dark. Jen uses her ice enchant to turn her staff into an ice polemace. It glows with a slightly flourescent bright blue. Jen then turns to strike at the alligators, and instead sees a pair of alligator skeletons. Elisa is still out, and bleeding badly... 5 turns till death. A band of swamp raccoons lemming-stab themselves on the ice spikes. And all is quiet again in the swamp... (No more hostile encounters for a bit) +2 alligator corpses, +5 raccoon corpses, +2 alligator skeletons Team Maplewise Icu extracts furs from 2 of the wolves - the other twos' furs are torn to shreds. +0.2 skinning. The wizard heals the warrior's severed artery. +0.1 healing magic.
  3. ....Oh @#$@. My notepad with all the stats and crap went poof. Gimme a bit, gotta go make a new file.... <.<
  4. Well I had to come up with SOMEthing, else dungeonal would've kept going with the "run at it angrily" approach until he finally got chucked into a pointy rock and died. And Dungeonal, don't put words in my mouth. Team Whatevermatherwantstocallit Mather uses the dirk as a light course (good call there) and finds another catapult trap and dodges it when it triggers. He then slices it into little bits. +0.1 agility Earth finds that the copper vein goes even further, but would require more digging and a better pick. And all of Dungeonal's stuff is kinda buried under a ton of rock. Team Maplewise The caster manages to clamber out of the tree... and miscasts yet again, except this time it's a wolf that gets chucked into a tree. Wolf 2 is now unconscious. The warrior beheads the last moving wolf, then also beheads the unconscious wolf. +0.1 swords You won the battle! +0.2 strength and speed to warrior and mage. Team Trinity Yeah, the alligators are toast. Isabel tries to heal Alisa with magic, but only ends up opening the wounds further. Jen makes a second layer of ice palisade spikes. +0.2 ice. Another pair of swamp alligators approach the group, wind their way around the spikes, and bite Jen in the arm, severing an artery.
  5. So..... did the guy actually cancel, or what? Last I saw, he was being wishy-washy due to media pressure.
  6. Those people who decide to loiter in the hallway between classes and create a human roadblock. I mean, SERIOUSLY? You could take 5 steps and go outside, or stand against the wall and talk. But no, you have to all spread out for 25 square feet to make hallway navigation a nightmare. And as a result, you all have to talk freakin' loud so you can hear each other across the hallway, creating a crapton of background noise. Which drives me insane. And people wonder why I try to get to class early and avoid the cafeteria during lunch...
  7. [bleep]ing homework, chores, and various other IRL nuisances - I'm Pie! [bleep] Stargate - We're the Tavern, except for Mather on occasion [bleep] changing the forum format - I'm Archi! [bleep] trying to navigate a complicated dungeon - JUST PULL THE LEVER!
  8. Team Dungeonal McRusher Dungeonal wakes up and rushes into the dungeon, triggering a small cavein trap, which then crushes him beyond recognition. (And since I know it's going to be taken this way, rocks fall, he dies.) On the plus side, the cavein trap totally wrecked the hidden catapult trap that had been launching you out earlier. Hakon takes the dirk. It keeps glowing. Whoohoo. Oh, and he's now the leader. Earth whacks a branch off the tree with his pickaxe. +0.1 improvisation. And I actually was going to have the bluebird pinball between all your heads before flying off, knocking you all unconscious, but Mather and Earth got lucky. Team Maplewise The warrior swings wildly, decapitating two of the wolves and mildly bruising the other two. +0.3 swords The mage miscasts his spell and accidentally launches himself and the crafter into a tree. One of the living wolf's attacks glance off the warrior's armor, whilst the other's penetrates a gauntlet and breaks an artery in the warrior's left arm. Team Trinity Jen makes a bunch of ice palisade spikes around the group. +0.1 ice Elisa's wounds seem very bad, and she may die soon if they are untreated. However, Isabel seems fine after waking up and starting to pull the spikes out of her arm. A pair of big-ass swamp alligators run out of the swamp towards the group and promptly impale themselves on the palisade spikes. NOT the world's smartest alligators....

Mowed the lawn. Went driving (much to my disdain). All in all, a very tedious and boring day.
  10. What you have selected is: A pile of ashes which are pretty much useless, a set of Dragon Claws worth a decent sum of money, a blue charm worth a decent bit of summoning experience, and some broad-tipped bolts, which are used as a cheap substitute for adamant bolts by rangers everywhere. What you are facing is: A tormented demon, capable of shielding itself with fire and praying against attacks. Highly dangerous to those untrained to kill them. (JK, grats on more claws maz)
  11. Team Trinity Isabel and Elisa move the orb into the swamp, and Isabel uncloaks it.... and it promptly explodes, sending swamp ice shards flying everywhere. You begin to hear a variety of animal noises, none of them too happy about their home becoming a giant icy pincushion of death. You hear them... right before you all notice that you have been stabbed in various places by the ice shards as well. Elisa and Isabel pass out. +0.2 light to Elisa, +0.2 dark to Isabel Team Dungeonal Earth hits the copper vein at exactly the right angle, and it literally starts pouring in a waterfall of copper fragments. Among the fragments is a copper dirk that seems to be glowing a bit, as well as a quiver that seems to be glowing as well. A bluebird then flies out of the cave and straight into Dungeonal, knocking him back unconscious before flying away. The low growling in the back of the cave seems to have gone away. +2 lbs. of copper to Earth, +0.5 mining to Earth +Magical dirk to whoever takes it, +Magical quiver to whoever takes it
  12. Wow. I just actually read Techy's backstory... ....and it appears I will have to do gamelinks. MANY, MANY GAMELINKS. Now.... who to have assaulted by the bluebird man...
  13. I think skill cape discussions are overrated. I mean everyone's basically just saying the same thing they said 2 weeks after capes were released...
  14. Team Dungeonal Earth manages to wake everyone up by kicking them in the gut. He then proceeds to attack the copper vein, but to no avail. Team Trinity Elisa creates a ball of light. +0.1 light magic. Isabel then blankets that lightball in darkness. +0.1 dark magic. Jen freezes the swamp over on accident. +0.2 ice magic. (Kay)
  15. Team Dungeonal Earth fashions a rather cruddy pickaxe, then tries and fails to wake the unconscious people up. Team Trinity The fog is too thick for Elisa's magic to do anything. Isabel temporarily conceals the party in darkness. +0.1 dark magic Jen creates some ice shards out of swamp water. +0.1 water magic, ice magic. (And no, water magic =/= ice magic, forgot to mention that)
  16. Team Dungeonal Earth is too weak to drag the unconscious others away from the cave. He does manage to find a copper vein and an oak tree, though. Team I-currently-forget-what-Icu-named-it-and-cba-too-scroll-up-to-find-it You are attacked by a pack of wolves. What do you do? Team Trinity - You head west, and find a swamp. What do you do?
  17. Team Maplewise - You travel east; nothing interesting happens. At all. Do you continue east, or change direction?
  18. Icu - Sure. And Team Maplewise leaves the town. In which direction do you go? Nex - Got it. and Team Nex-Didn't-Choose-A-Name exits the town! You head north, and soon find a forest. What do you advise your leader to do now?
  19. Okay then. Nex - You gotta pick an element. Also, you have to choose whether or not to accompany Edel. Dungeonal's Party Earth, everyone got chucked out of the cave. It just so happened that the other two hit rocks, and you didn't.
  20. Dungeonal's Party Dungeonal runs forward unarmed into the darkness, only to be thrown back out at a rather high velocity, hit a rock, and be knocked unconscious. Mather walks forward slowly with his knife into the darkness, only to be thrown back out at a rather high velocity, hit a different rock, and be knocked unconscious. Earth proceeds with his pitiful excuses for weapons (they're made for crafting, y'know, not head-bashing) into the darkness, only to be thrown back out at a rather high velocity, miss a rock, and skid to a stop a few meters outside the cave. Heh. Man, you guys are unlucky. Iconic, would you like to venture forth with NPCs, or wait and see if other players would join you?
  21. Us users in the tavern can answer that! Heh. Taverners REPRESENT! Srs question: What is the most annoying part about being a moderator out of these 3 - dealing with advertisement spam (i.e the ad posts that show up in General Discussion every so often), dealing with morons who can't read the rules to save their life, or dealing with trolls?
  22. Dungeonal's Party Mather stabs the man in the other side, whilst Earth pelts him with rocks. Dungeonal's shot goes wild, and you all then watch the man apparently vaporize. You hear a low growling further in the cave... +0.1 improvised weaponry to Earth +0.1 knives to Mather
  23. Okay then, Mather becomes temporary leader until Dungeonal gets back.
  24. Dungeonal's Party Mather flanks the man, stabbing him in the side with his iron knife. +0.1 knifing Earth knocks the man on the head, but all it does is give him a minor bruise. +0.1 strength Dungeonal tries to back away, but trips on the root again and falls backwards.
  25. Dungeonal's Party You walk into the cave, and all simultaneously trip on a cave root. You hear laughing, and look up into the face of a burly, bearded old man. He attempts to crush Mather's skull in, but Mather dodges out of the way. K, Dungeonal. At a random coin flip, Earth is chosen as temporary party leader, and your character falls under his control unless you wish for it to remain in stasis.
