Returning after 4+ years of retirement...
Nubstyle! Sending you a PM. I also returned this past July after a 4 year break. I'll think you'll remember me from RS Monopoly. Though I play under a different account now. ;)

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
A lot of players are expecting Santas to crash as part of the normal cycle. While I do believe this will happen, I could see them rebounding even after Christmas. Hyperinflation just may save them.

I'm surprised dragon bones fell as quickly as they did. Yes they were probably hoarded for a long time, but months of hoarding for a mere 25% increase in price? That was worth it? Right now they are buyable at minimum still (4.2k), so my guess is that they will fall to just under 4k, before going back up a bit and settling between 4-4.5k each (unless a round 2 of dragon bone buyout happens).

Prodigal Son Returns
Take a look the character models in-game, especially the male ones with their stupid childish hairstyles. Now tell me.

So..How do we figure out which CPU Usage to use?
At maximum RS uses 25-30% CPU for me. At minimum it drops to 20-22%. No real difference to me. It's smooth, as always. I play windowed HD and I use a quad core.

Runescape
RuneScape is a direct correlation to just how much motivation I have in life. When I played in high school, it was my first addiction you could call it. Didn't care much about school, or other people. Then... before college I got rid of everything by... but nonetheless it was all gone. During college, the best 4 years of my life... this game never crossed my mind. I did great in college, receiving a degree in engineering with good grades. I was so ready to take on the world, when the god damn economy decided to get in my way. It wasn't until this past summer when I was sitting around with nothing to do that I somehow by unlucky chance fired up the game (which is much different than it was in 2005 - not good for me). Now I'm bumming off my parents, 2000 miles away from everyone and everything I knew, still looking for a job, and now nearly broke (and please don't tell me Walgreen's after I busted my [wagon] off for 4 years) and life is just dull right now. And what am I doing, I'm playing RuneScape. This won't go on for much longer though. If I can't find a good job soon, I'm going back to school. I guess RuneScape is just my drug. When I didn't play it, life was great. When life was/is sort of dull... I found/find myself playing this game. So for me RuneScape doesn't effect my life - it's more a result of the state I'm in. I like how other post "yeah I play a lot, but I still have a social life" - this is just complete denial. Been there done that. RuneScape in general just isn't good news. Sad, but true. :( I haven't spent as much time as some of you have (I think I am at 54 days now), but that's enough to make getting me thinking at times. You need a major goal in life. Once I had one, any major RuneScape goals I had went out the window completely. Now I'm sort of stuck in a limbo not sure of what my next major life goal is.

If you had 200 BILLION Coins...
On top of this, I'd buy 500M needles, and put them in drop chest, just to see everyone's reaction after rushing to to the drop room for the 500M drop party (as announced by the NPCs).

Runescape Life..
Amusing. At first I was like what? And then Fresh Prince starting playing in my mind, and I enjoyed reading it through. :)

If you had 200 BILLION Coins...
I'd die with a blue partyhat on in the middle of the GE for all to see. I'd also have it recorded from a secondary account. Instant fame. :)

My question: if partyhats got dumped, what would the merchants put their money back into?

POLL: RuneScape Classic
I'll just focus more on keeping access this time. However I will not put any serious time into it. After playing windowed HD I just can't stand tiny screen of classic. The only way to make it large is to drop my resolution from 1680x1050 to 800x600, which isn't very convenient. It was once great, but it's a thing of the past to me. That, and my stats on classic are (1/30/1/42) (att/def/str/mage) and being that I have absolutely nothing, training my character to be a better tank is just too much a PITA. Especially since I have no runes, which are extremely hard to get. I still with RS2/HD. :)

RSC Trial-Period Over
That's what happens when you go from one level of difficulty to another that isn't anywhere near the same ballpark. :P By the way, when you classic for like an hour, and then switch over to HD, the difference between the two is quite astounding.

200M street does not equal "200M". 200M street = 30M + the loss you will take from buying junk off someone. After you resell the junk, if you lost 30M, you effectively paid 60M, not 200M. And if you very little loss... you effectively paid market. If free trade was to be bought back, eggs would not be 200M... not even close.

More GE fun
This vials cap NEEDS TO GO. I had an offer up for over 2 days, and how many water filled vials did I get? ZERO. Vials now have a street price of over 1k each. This is one of the stupidest market updates ever.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
I can. With all the bots removed, they were the reason why rares hit absurd prices to begin with. Wanted a party hat in 2005-2006? All you had to do was load up 25 instances of Aryan (a major bot back then) and mine rune essence and transfer it all to a main.

Items Kept on Death
They need to just let you click and drag items into the items protected. So obvious, yet Jagex cannot figure that out.

Stellar Dawn scrapped, new one being developed
I'm glad they scrapped it. I was not at all impressed by that video. It looked far too similar to RuneScape. If I want to play RuneScape, I have RuneScape for that. The graphics were dog balls too. Even though I understand it is from an older engine, if they build it directly from RT5 I'm sure it'll look even better than the current version of RS we have.

Advertise your thing here - all posted elsewhere = removed
I'm hoping to start a new LEGIT merchant clan (not a manipulating GE cc) FairTradeRS I encourage all of you to look and join up if interested!

Ohh mad. so you're going for 99?
I'm going for 99 magic (92 right now) but I don't know if I'll every reach it. The amount of experience required for a 99 is just overwhelming to me. With that being said, it's not possible to get a 99 playing casually. But it never was. Unless you plan on doing it over the next 1-2 years. :)

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
300 rank reached in the Mobilising Armies minigame. I am 3100st player to reach it. :)

how does runescape help you in life?
It really doesn't help at all. This is just a temporary time killer until I figure out what I'm doing in my life.

More GE fun
Yet ANOTHER Jagex blunder. They do not address 76king and they do this instead? Seriously? Yes I realize you can buy 2k vials from Shilo in under 40 minutes (that's what I do), but for those that want to save time, not a good move.
-
will jagex fix inflation?
Haha it's funny because me and my little brother were laughing about the idea of taxes in RuneScape as permanent a money sink. "Oh man, that poor newb worked so hard for his mithril armor but couldn't pay his taxes!" We also thought about SALES TAX. Where you have to pay an extra 5% on top of your purchases in the GE, and general stores, and etc. We didn't discuss it much but we got a laugh out of it.

Herblore Players, Go on Strike?
No by all means train herblore. But whenever that level 60 pker asks you to sell them super sets, turn your back.

Herblore Players, Go on Strike?
Actually never mind the quote, it wasn't as bad as initially. Someone rephrased it and passed it along. I tried to find the quote myself, which is really: "players felt they had to increase their Herblore level to be able to make these potions, before they could effectively fight players of a similar combat level to themselves". Sorry about misleading some who read the initial one.
