Divine Vindicators defeats Hell Army
Seemed like a level fight. Good job DV. Run-ins are definately my type of choice when it comes to CWA

AA vs OwnAgeClan
The OwnAgeClan? God, AA, why don't you go fight a clan your own age. GET IT? AHAAHa...ahaha...eh... I see a sexy right click on a CL pile at the end--Samp and Pkbros representing.

[TICT] Corruption vs Exodus
Upon reviewing, evidence of Corruption breaking the sniping cap was insufficient to void the result of the fight. As such, Corruption will continue through to the next round.

Return of the Revolution!
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. It's a concept that applies universally.

The Tip.it Tournament & Its Flaw
Criticism is all well and good, but if you're not elaborating we can't make improvements for the future. So please, for the sake of future tournaments, give reasons, examples, etc! :) Aside from one major mistake that has now been rectified, we're trying to keep as close to the community's proposed structure as possible.

How will you be remembered to your clan?
How will you be remembered in your clan?? The stupid girl who got declined her first time through. Why? Because I got declined the first time I tried to join Solace XD Would you change why they remember you? I'll certainly try to! As of right now though, only being Solace for a few days, it's kind of hard. :P

David can't retire; it's against the laws of physics. Shame TK had to die like this, but I can respect the decision. RIP.

The Tip.it Tournament & Its Flaw
Yet these things have, as you even stated, a very low chance of occurring. So low that, again going back to my argument of clan distribution, you would fairly be able to expect at the most 2-3 people affected by this. Looking through the 50v50 as you gave as an example, this would only be a potential risk to a small percentage of participants even assuming they encounter a team that a portion of their members participate in. Yes, they can happen. Is the damage is as significant as to truly hurt teams? Most likely no. As you said, this problem has existed since the first draw, but after heeding suggestions from officials of leaders from teams and clans, this was the best proposed solution at the time. It's completely infeasible now to think that teams and clans can be separated at this stage of the game. Perhaps for the next tournament planned sometime in the far future, we can persue something like this if the community wants that (because, as I must remind you, this tournament stemmed from community feedback). As of right now, though, this thread offers no viable alternatives. EDIT: Enough with the 'are you mad' stuff, please. I want people to be able to vent their frustrations, but if you give in to your base instincts and start insulting eachother like a bunch of kindergartners, your posts will be removed without notification and action could be taken against your account.

2v2- original pairings stand !!
Thanks for those who participated. The draw is now over and new matchups are posted. I encourage those with issues to PM one of the TICT leaders (Quikdrawjoe, Abs, or LegendaryStu) if they have constructive criticism to offer. An explanation of the redraw will be posted shortly. :)

The Tip.it Tournament & Its Flaw
Mind you, this is my personal opinion, but... With all due respect, if you're joining a tournament that requires exceedingly large amounts of teamwork and cooperation, the onus falls on you, the group signing up, to be sure you are capable of this, knowing what you're up against. Furthermore, you're riding on the very large assumptions that 1) teams enlisted on the TICT have a concentration of members from only one clan that must be the clan they're facing to be true 2) teams will not take action against members who so selfishly disregard obligation for some obscene concept of 'beef' The first assumption generally proves to be false for several reasons: home clan distributions are fairly even. There might be slightly larger portions of clans than others, yes, but never so much as to threaten them from pulling the desired 20 people. And, if it does endanger them, again I feel this is the fault of the clan that signed up. And even then, if these circumstances were to magically align, and say a core member of LND as per your example fought against TT, the chances of that truly happening are very slim. And if you're saying that LND and TT are in the same team but LND members must fight for TT, TT would be allowed to overdraft a certain number of people as per the rule update yesterday, which you might not have seen if you were not active on the forums. The second assumption is, again, the duty of the group who signed up to enforce. I don't feel there's much of a need to elaborate, as I've touched on the reasons why this is equally unlikely (little chance of rival a fighting rival b and hurting their overall pull). Let me reiterate that this is my opinion, and not to be mistaken for that of the staff. Rest assured that, as much as is within their power, suggestions of ALL sorts are being taken into consideration. But I do not feel that this situation is as dire as these claims posted here make them out to be. Certainly, there is a greater source of dissention caused by the sheer need to redraw, which wasn't even the problem of a team, but rather a collective issue of smaller problems.

CD Events: Corporeal Beast
Thanks guys for the interest! Keep spreading the word eh? :P CD Events are just...events. No backstory, no themes, just some fun maybe once or twice a month with a chance to make GP. Those who like those aforementioned events are welcome to and, hell, encouraged to go to TET. Not trying to steal anyone's thunder here :P Well, I wouldn't rule out the possibility. Aside for combat events and maybe the occasional pvp event, though, F2P leaves much to be desired in terms of events.

CD Events: Corporeal Beast
Well no one will be turned away, but you can always consider it a good opportunity to see if you find a clan you'd like :P They're a great way to meet people with similar interests and while combat-based clans tend to be the majority, there's way more clans than that on Tip.it!

Clan Celebration Month
It's celebrating all types of clans, not just The Sabres and whoever else they interviewed. From what it looks like, they actually did try to come up with a wide range of events (they're on the forums.) They have skilling, industry, and PvP events, live clan Q&A, and forum based Q&A. That's a lot of time to take out of their schedules. But because of the sheer volume of people they're going to attract, everything's just going to be noise IMO. According to a clan leader who had posted on the other thread, they've been planning this for at least two months. Bouncing ideas off of the clan leader board on the RSOF and whatnot. I would give something precious to find out how those discussions went, and how many non-RSOF clans actually gave feedback to that.

Absolutely not, nor did I ever say that. I don't think you understood what I meant because your clan isn't in the situation that others are (like those on RSC or some on Tip.it). Except it's a catch 22, as there's still a large part of clan leaders on fansites that just don't give a rat's [wagon] about the RSOF. And for a large part, the members on clans affiliated with those fansites don't either. But there's some small population of them out there who are neither leader nor maxed, and they lack this vital chance to help communicate with Jagex. The chain of communication, in that respect, is horribly severed. Had they instead posted this in a non-private board, where everyone could respond to, I would be happier with it. If I didn't know any better, I'd say they're trying to shape their own community and exclude some people, us fansite based clans, rather than both shaping the community and embracing the community that has existed for years. The only attempt I have seen of that was the Clan Tournament, which was a flash in the pan. Surprisingly enough, a fansite based clan won that tournament, too.

I just looked through both the blog and the forum thread. None of those are from the lumberyard. Where do you see a lumberyard picture?

29-Jan-2010 - Clan Blog and Clan Celebration Month
Try one anyway--one that matches your needs, the things you like to do. Finding the right clan is difficult, but when you do it's like finding the freaking holy grail. In this case, I cannot stress enough, do not go off of second hand tales to formulate your opinion. Interesting. But why are agents of the community (aka Jagex Moderators) only listening to leaders?
