  1. Dragon crossbow? Jagex, y u toy with me?
  2. I'd like one of those themed monkey hats. Too bad that I don't have a disposable income like Jagex wants me to have. '-'
  3. Everything the community currently knows, is being discussed in this topic. Please use the search feature before posting - this was right on the first page, too :) Topic closed, I highly encourage you to visit that thread and continue discussion there!
  4. Yes, the wilderness is no longer safe as of the start of this year. Pking is enabled in every world, revenants have been relocated to the Forthintry Dungeon, and quests that were designed and had wilderness elements will now be safe instances (like Tien pointed out) so you can complete the quest.
  5. Clean install already did the latest version, which didn't correct the problem. Tried updating the drivers, same issue. (THanks for the suggestion.) Someone on one of the floors I had was mentioning they had the same problem, and someone joked that it was an anti-bot feature. We got a good laugh out of that.
  6. DirectX. Game is unplayable in software. Can't run in OpenGL or DGsweeper won't work. (Crashes my graphics drivers when they both run at the same time)
  7. [hide=Offensive language][/hide] ^ Examples of what happens without any repeating pattern while playing RuneScape as of today. This is aggrivating me to no end. Frequently blocks my vision, slows me down, and is just generally [bleep]ing annoying. Not using AA or bloom, 32-bit java. Clean install did nothing for me, neither did clearing my cache. halphalp
  8. You're 90+ mining. Coal bag is useless to you. Upgrading rings is always top priority. (You're doing Berserker I hope...) That right there is reason enough. You should be overloading each floor to help speed it up, and the scroll of cleaning will lower the cost to do so. The amount of tokens needed for it is barely even a drop in the bucket. Wouldn't Rigor do more for your kill speed than CCBow?
  9. This made me lol! Many of the updates since New Year have been considered some of the best we've had in ages (as a general consensus) with only 2 major stinkers (SOF and Effigy nerf effigies) and a few that whilst not amazing and aren't exactly bad either. Fixed that for you. The nerf at least diminished the damage caused. Otherwise spot on. But please let's not get into the topic of that dead horse. That's your personal opinion. Sy_Accursed was speaking about the overall opinion of the community based on the nerf.
  10. i didn't know you were p2p again, Mish. Grats. :)

[bleep] paying them back, they squandered your money without asking you. Don't trust your parents to handle such vital financial transactions for you anymore.
  12. He doesn't seem to be having any problem with it, and he's not going around saying that evolution doesn't exist. So I think there's no problem, really. Just differing views on life.
  13. No...no. Just...no. Don't fall back on that. That is poor form, and a poor attempt on your part to ignore what I'm saying. To validate your claims you would have to examine it in levels, in areas. Aka communities. And then compare the results from different communities to validate your claim that universally religion propagates ignorance. And as said before, there are far...far...far too many variables to effectively do so and have your claims accepted as fact. It is downright laughable.
  14. It most certainly does require the evidence you're speaking of if you're using to make such an important and impacting claim. Simply speaking, there are far too many variables that you could ever account for. You have no means to measure the communities you are examining and determining for a fact that the entire community was "made ignorant" by any single thing, let alone a belief structure. You can't even measure to what extent a community is ignorant and successfully determine what caused that. Look at the United States, for one thing. It is most certainly not well founded, and if you were conducting such a thing as an experiment, you know full well that you'd be laughed out of the scientific community. It is best to recognize that this is only your opinion, and that to qualify it as fact is as impossible (and I'm repeating myself here, I know) as trying to prove a higher power exists. EDIT: As for your sidenote, you're completely twisting where I'm coming from. This has nothing to do with defending a religion and everything to do with the fact that what you're saying makes no sense stated as fact. I have provided plenty of counter-points. I don't know if you'll ever find it sufficient, but these issues with your proposed analysis are crystal clear.
  15. I'm confused, I don't think anyone was saying that it had to look like skyrim? >_>'
  16. It's not fair to say it regardless of the context. In no way, shape, or form can you verify the outrageous claims you're trying to make. It is only your opinion, no matter what the context. You can argue this but you will always lack the evidence you need to verify your opinions as fact just in the same way a person of faith cannot prove there is a higher power. This trait is very similar to the same people that you tend to talk about in religious discussions for being illogical.
  17. It's equally far-fetched to say definitively that religion in modern day society "propagates ignorance." That can be your personal opinion, for sure, but it really does not make sense to proclaim it as truth. A phenomenon of people saying one thing and doing another is not strictly limited to religion. You certainly can't quantify any actions based on what they're "claiming" and then say for sure that religion is bad, when not all the facts are clear...Again, your personal belief and impossible to say it so starkly like there's no other option. :/
  18. Topic cleaned. Please keep the discussion on-point. You can discuss the (un)originality of characters to your heart's content, but please do so in a civil manner that doesn't stray into pointless back-and-forth and semantics. Any further attempt to continue arguing will be removed and appropriate action taken. If you disagree with this, or you have any questions, please PM me.
  19. I don't see any similarities to a Hork-bajir other than they have two legs and look slightly reptilian. :/
  20. It's hard to balance being angry with them for their bull they've pulled over the last few weeks, and the honest praise they deserve for a move like this.
  21. Who put starcraft things in my Elder Scrolls game?

Having your email compromised is all you need to have your rs account compromised, given how terrible the recovery system is. Quite frankly, the people who are still using things like Yahoo/aol/Hotmail, which is still more than 3x the active users that gmail boasts, are probably better off never tying an email to their account because of how terrible they are. In the same way that typing your facebook account to your RuneScape account is an all-around dumb move, so is advocating such a move (like Jagex is doing) when the majority of emails out there are inherently insecure. It's a bit like sticking your head in the sand and going la-la-la, no security holes ever on the internet nope!
  23. A woman eating a slice of watermelon. Clearly. Or a brown/shadowed Asari that can breathe fire. Or maybe the new animation for the dragonfire shield's special. (Though I lol'd at the Asari thing XD)
  24. I thought this was coming out later. I worry that between Runefest and now, there wasn't enough time to properly polish and test things. . . :/ Then again, they thought damage soaking would be revolutionary too, so...there's that.
