The logical reasoning behind the extremism of the Holocaust was that the Jews, along with other minorities, were the cause of Germany's economic problems. The similarity I'm pointing out is that in a time of economic turbulence, people turn to a scapegoat. Minorities are easy to target. This sort of thought process needs to be exposed and diverted before we end up doing something ridiculously immoral. Not that it would matter, anyways - the victors write the history books, right? More like chain link fences, or "smart" fences, which is just a bunch of infrared cameras. Sometimes its not even that, just a little portion of paved roads to allow easier access. Also, there are large areas that are designated to be national parks or wildlife refuges, and where those exist there are no fences and troops are not allowed to go in that area. A double set of walls that go high and deep, made of concrete would do much better. Maybe we could make it into a raised highway. That might do better. And the "many security forces" are just a couple hundred troops stationed there, but only having a couple hundred on a border that stretches for a couple thousand... EDIT: As long as there are weak points in the border, we haven't done enough. Alright, I will agree that they can get in relatively easily, if only for the sake of preventing useless arguments. However, I do not believe punishment is the best method of solving this problem. We need to reform how immigrants enter this country, not punish those who are stuck without any other option than to break the law.

Many security forces were already in place when Obama came into the presidency, and one of the first things he did was step up the security along the southern border. Well, I found a dupe glitch when I first played the update. Not that I'd condone using it, but if it's just for funsies, why the hell not. If you access a chest while you're going to the Nether, when you arrive you can withdraw anything and the chest in the real world isn't affected in any way. I've done it for the sole purpose of blowing [cabbage] up somewhere in the Nether to see how deep it is, in the hopes of seeing the correlation of height between it and the real world. This still works. On a completely unrelated note, I'm building a minecart system between my entrance to the Nether and the portal created the first time I left the Nether to cut down on walking time. I improvised some sort of infinite booster, but then animals got in it and ruined it. Now I can't get it to work.

I thought this was about changing your TIF name (which is stupid), but changing irl is much more serious. It's really your choice, but I wouldn't do it. Your name is your name, and it has a deep association in the subconcious with your self. Having a few lame sounds-like jokes is pretty much a requirement with a name anyways.

Either directly to them or for direct use in helping them continue their work... But alas, it does not. There is a fundamental rule of marketing and that is A product or service is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Therefore loss due to piracy = $0 Suing people is a very lucrative business model, entire businesses have sprung up for the sole purpose of suing people on behalf of content owners. The film and music industry has also given birth to allot of organised crime based on the notion of stopping piracy. There are criminal syndicates out there who attack pirate servers for a fee.. Piracy really does no harm to music and film and they know it. But they don't want to admit it because then they could not sue innocent people. I disagree. Unless you are some sort of Godless infidel, you would pay money for good music. With pirating, you don't have to. Therein lies the harm to the industry. Yes, when it's offered for nothing the value is nothing. But if it were not underpriced, you would be paying money for it, in some way or another.

I was going to return to my old world, but I decided to finish mining the cave I found on my biomes world. After finishing the cave, which was above ground and not all that deep, here's my inventory box: All of that iron, coal, and gold is from one cave, and it was the first one I found. That's more than I had in many mines down to bedrock on my main world. I also made brick and snow blocks from my biome adventure. Each of those is four balls. You also might notice two saddles and some mossy cobblestone - I stumbled upon my first mob spawner in that same cave. I made a mob trap: based off vid. It's a bit disappointing as it spawns zombies, but it was still fun to build.

Producers have to be able to still make profit off of an artist that may not sell many albums, and you have to think about production costs. I fail to see how the publishing industry MAKES a good artist. A good artist will be naturally good, have developed their own talents and such... they may not have been as 'successful' as they were before being purchased by a media giant, but they'll still be good. What do the publishing companies do? They advertise, publish and promote... but bands and artists can do that ALL THEMSELVES with the internet. You'll find some brilliant musicians who are self-published online and are making it big. Not super-stardom millionaires, but they're living off their music without a big corporation behind them. No matter what these companies actually do, they couldn't give a toss about the musicians they promote - they just want more money. It's a simple fact. Welcome to the wonderful world of capitalism. The world runs on personal interest, and refusing to pay for music won't change that. As far as whether or not publishing companies are actually helpful, niether of us can really say because we wouldn't have heard of the good artists we've never heard of :ugeek: I will say, however, that you need money to make more money. Without good instruments and recording equipment, you can't make good music. Without advertising, you won't have the publicity to sell en masse. Oh, and that last sentence is rather silly. How could you know the inner thoughts of the music publishing industry, even if it was one solid entity? I will agree that music companies want money, though - that's called profit, and it makes a venture worthwhile.

For desert maps, some guy had the idea of building a 4-block thick layer of sand over a huge area in a map, burning down all the trees under it, and collapsing it so he could have a desert. I would try it if I didn't have a million other things to build.
