Abortion
He said pretty clearly that he wouldn't force his opinions on someone else, and would vote pro-choice. But Saru, what if the baby's purpose was to be aborted? If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, and the fetus is aborted, then wouldn't that be God's will? As we all know, God works in mysterious ways.

Memorizing
Last year, a friend of mine record himself reciting the poem on his iTouch, then put his hood up when he went to recite it for the class, and just listened and repeated from the iTouch. The teacher thought it was supposed to be some sort of act to go along with the poem, even though he would take time between each line to hear the next.

As do anti-depressants.

Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
I'd like to see you try and make me. Dude, the youngest one is like 15, and you should see her bod. I've always thought the middle one is the best looking, to be honest, but you've got to follow the rules of the riddle. Anyways, you inherit the throne, so quit being so picky about it.

Favorite thing about the opposite sex?
I dunno. It sounds pretty accurate to me.

Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
So, somewhere in a parallel universe, parallel universes don't exist? Oh, you. It's a good thing time travel and parallel universes don't exist and won't. It leaves more time to deal with this mind [bleep]: There are three princesses. In the morning, you are to marry one of them. You may choose which one. The oldest always tells to the truth. The youngest always lies. The middle sister will sometimes lie and sometimes tell the truth. You want to marry either of the ones who remain constant, but not the middle sister. You may only ask one question, and only to one sister, and only once. What do? Oh, and I figured this applied to "Riddles", which this thread could use more of. And Googling/ going on xkcd is cheating.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
Unfortunately, I have not. I guess I understand why people hate on IE so much now.

Minecraft General
I don't like the servers with tons of stuff on them, I feel like it ruins the game if you have to walk for five minutes just to find fresh land. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to start our own server (and try to limit the people on it - don't go posting it all over the MC forums).

Fill me in on Soccer[USA]
Keeper and goalie are synonymous, which is used depends on the area. I used both terms in my post. In general, Americans are more likely to use "goalie" and since he called it "soccer" I assumed he was an American. There is no rule that says defenders can't go past the midfield. In fact, if you're playing with more than four defenders, there are times when some defenders should be past. In general, though, defenders should be defending. Also, the offsides rule does not apply to the opponent when you are on the opponent's half, so pushing that far up as defense only gains you the advantage of having extra men forward. If you don't know how to throw (I assume they taught you when you first played), get someone irl to teach you. By "semi-circle" he means the little area near the corner. Technically, all tackles are supposed to be for the ball, but slide tackles are much easier to judge.

Conan
Imagine my disappointment when I typed "Conan" into Hulu and those things popped up. I ended up watching it on TBS's site, but you have to watch one clip at a time (with commercials) so I got bored before the end. It seems like pretty much the same show as before. I'll watch it when I'm bored, but not go out of my way for it.

Fill me in on Soccer[USA]
Alright. First of all, if your High School is any good, you'll be doing quite a bit of running. That means maybe two miles as a warm up (for practice) and sprints and other runs during practice. Stamina is essential in soccer, as if you're good you'll be running for the full 90-minute game. As far as rules go: -10 players on field, plus a goalie -Off sides: you must stay behind the last two defenders (keeper included) or in line with the ball (whichever is closest to the goal) until the ball is kicked. This is sort of hard to explain, let me know if it doesn't make sense. -yellows are given for dangerous plays. Basically, don't do anything stupid. Get close and personal when you play, as it's not against the rules to push with your body, as long as you're not actually pushing the kid or grabbing him (noticeably) -Red cards are pretty rare in high school, but if you do something dangerous that prevents a goal, you'll get a red. -when you tackle, you have to hit the ball, not the feet. I've probably missed something. Any questions?

Memorizing
If you're speaking it, say it out loud. Read it once in your head, read it out loud once, then keep reading it (in your head or out loud) until you've got it down. Maybe that doesn't make sense. I've always been able to memorize a poem with meter on the first or second time through.

[spoiler=Uh, whut.] "Composition of sentences, phrases, and words" Second one down. Just curious, how did you manage to create an account on an internet forum without ever learning to read? Well someone's a massive tool, aren't they. :twss: I'm just fooling around. I'm pretty sure he can read.

Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
basically, but that only enforces what I said that sexual preference is controlled by culture. In a different culture where guys wouldnt find that to be hot no girl would ever do that. Except for the ones that are legitimately bisexual.

Conan
I'm excited to see it, but I won't be staying up late to watch it. I'm sure it will be online, if not on Hulu, then on some pirate site. I don't know too much about it, is it just a slightly different version of his former show on NBC?

Philosophy, Riddles and complete mind[bleep]s
Humanity must make a decision here: Do I want to be a stagnant cog in the machine, or do I want to be an active cog in the machine? The universe has decided that laziness and inertia bore me, so I'd rather be turning. On infinity, if the universe is constantly expanding, what does it expand into? And if there is nothing outside the universe, how can it expand at all? I think your question to humanity only fits the misinterpretation of the idea. Having no choice does not mean you have to sit around and not make choices, it just means that what you do could be predicted. Give 'im the classic "If you wish to converse with me, define your terms" line. You did choose, but the choice was already made, so you didn't have a choice.
