[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Does anyone know how to get into the enemy sniper nest on Hightower? It's been bothering me for a while. There are only two ways in (that I know of), and one goes through the resupply gates. The other is a series of crates which appear to be commonly used, but it would require some sort of double jump which I have no idea how to do. I know it's possible because I've been backstabbed up there.

That picture is so adorable! On the contrary, it is freaking me out. Why is he looking at me? Look at your Legos, small child. Those eyes are massive.

Abortion
Ding ding ding! It only took 18 pages but someone has finally made a Nazi comparison! RECORD. --------------- And sorry Iamdan, I didn't really explain that well enough. What I meant to say is that it's still under debate, but at least in my philosophy class we all discussed it... And what we came up with is this: Yes, we all have our own special abilities, fish can breathe underwater, birds can fly, humans can create and manipulate tools. However, the human has the ability to not only percieve nature, but to transcend above it. It was quoted by someone who's name I now forget: "The Human is the animal that blushes." This is very true, we have the ability to think of ourselves almost in a third person view, but this is not the same as the ability of the fish to breathe underwater, while the antelope cannot. (Actually... Sorry, thats what the debate is about :P ) I theorize that this is not only a special trait, but an entirely new category of traits altogether. I would continue this more, but I'm really hungry so ima go get some chinese. The point is that you value that only because it's a trait you have. Try telling that to a cat, and he'll just ignore you. Why? Well, your fur is pretty darn ugly, for one, and you can't jump to save your life. It's like a larger version of how people of different cultures will value different things. You might look at some random suit on the street and say "Man, I'll bet that guy hasn't had an interesting thought in weeks". But it makes no difference, because he doesn't value intelligence in the same way that he might value, for example, level of education and hard work. In order to be happy, we (as humans) must find something that sets us above other beings. It's natural for us to think the trait that makes us different somehow makes us superior. It isn't necessarily correct. 1) Chinese was very very yummy. 2) So are you agreeing, or disagreeing with me? lol. 1) No. 2) Yes. E: Disagreeing on both. Chinese food is bad and Iamdan is right.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Here in New York, the law states bicyclists must ride in the street, and not on the sidewalk. It's in the driver's manual. And yes, that is an idiotic law. Real bicyclists don't need paved surfaces. OT: "Dear [insert inanimate object or adressee who will never read], Thank you for [insert sarcasm].[insert moar whining].[extend "letter" for another line for no reason]. Love, [your name here]" And other such Facebook statuses. It's not awful if it's only once, but there's a girl on my Facebook who literally posts three statuses a day, two of which are these. I don't care enough to figure out how to add someone to my ignore list on Facebook.

Prince William gets Engaged to Kate Middleton
Yeah, I haven't met an American who cares about any English monarchy. Most people don't even know that England is a continent on the other side of the Pacific, or that we defeated them in both World Wars.

Real life help & advice
Choose an event in your life, describe it, and explain how it changed you for the better. I've discussed this a lot with my english teacher, and it really is just a "I'm awesome and this is why" essay. It should read as a narrative, with you showing rather than telling ("My jaw dropped to the floor" instead of "I was surprised"). If you're stuck, make a quick timeline of important events in your life, then choose one and try to write about it.

Body Modification?
I think facial tattoos and piercings are just unattractive. Body piercings on a man might also be sort of wierd (but ears aren't that bad), and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about strange piercings on women. As for tattoos, I'd like to get a small one eventually, but it has to be something meaningful to me, rather than just picking a random symbol out of a book. Larger tattoos are a bit unattractive, but I've found a small tattoo to be a nice surprise on a woman (as long as it is a surprise - tramp stamps are boring).

You just have to play smart. If you walk in the direction of the enemy base while disguised, you look conspicuous. Stay cloaked until you are behind where you want to be, then uncloak (disguised) and move in for the kill. What does it do? I only have the main rifle and the huntsman (which I can't stand), but the Sydney Sleeper is listed as not giving headshots, which sounds like a huge pain.- Food
And you weigh how much now? One bite of that and I think my tin foil attire would become two sizes too small. What. Lasagna isn't fatty at all. And you don't look very fit judging by that picture. There is a beautiful person inside me. quite a few of them Now can we all just please now, stay on topic. I got a complaint from a moderator, something about off-topic posting in this thread. Don't worry about that, he was just trying to be funny. We're in the Off-Topic forum.- [TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
After no-lifing all Saturday night and Sunday morning, I've encountered the evil item limit. It's sort of disappointing, but I can still get items from the achievements. It's a great game. I've mostly been using the spy, with the heavy when I need it and occasionally the other classes. I'd have to say soldier and scout are my worse. I used to be bad at the sniper until I discovered the High Tower map. Has the Halloween Event ended? It looks like the maps are permanent, so I should be able to get some of the items, but I'm hoping I'm not too late for the seasonal ones.- What are you listening to right now!?
Where'd You Go - Fort Minor Just because it came up in the iTunes shuffle, and made me feel nostalgic.- Food
My mom feels the need to practice baking pies for Thanksgiving. So far she's made pumpkin and apple, and they've both been delicious.  And you weigh how much now? One bite of that and I think my tin foil attire would become two sizes too small. What. Lasagna isn't fatty at all. And you don't look very fit judging by that picture.- Mistakes
I'm glad you've got your priorities straight. As for myself, I do plenty wrong, but I wouldn't consider much of it a mistake. I guess I should have tried harder in Spanish last year so I would have been reccommended for AP this year, but whatever, I'm having a lot more fun this year without any Spanish at all.- [TF2] It's MANN Vs. Okay, I hate to be the guy with all the questions, but... [spoiler=Wut] Canyourunit says Yes I can, and most of the graphics stuff is on the lowest option. E: Never mind, I fixed it.- Hot celebrities/models!! :) Post them here!!
Agreed, I only like Jessica Alba outta that bunch. Cheryl's eyes look like they're saying "I WANT TO KILL YOU" so, what you're saying is that neither of the other is good looking? The two of them are girls, don't worry about it too much. Most of the people you posted are pretty good looking, but I don't like the pictures much. The one of Jessica Alba is great though - What are you listening to right now!?

Play on Normal or Easy from the beginning, so you don't end up like the sorry newbs above. Build a little house, get some wood by mining trees, make a wooden pickaxe, mine stone, make a stone pickaxe, start mining and exploring. Look for coal from the beginning, it is normally in caves near the surface. Stay in your house at night, or at least make a chest and put your stuff in it. The game gets moving pretty fast. You basically just explore and build and do whatever you want. Check the Wiki for crafting recipes, watch Seananners' vids on Youtube if you need a visual example. And be sure to walk close to those green things with no arms - Chinese workers build 15-story hotel...in just six days.
It's interesting that people are so determined to knock this project. I would like to revisit this in a few years. Yes, I'm sure there will be some problems, but such issues are essentially inherent into the construction of any building, no matter the size or speed at which is was assembled. My theory is that people are insecure, and fearful about their position in the world. There are several Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Pakistanis, any number of people, that could all do your job, and likely better than you, if they were given the chance. However, they will not get that chance, for merit of their poverty, skin colour, or nationality. With greater globalization (which is inevitable, whatever the left/right would like to say) there will be greater equality. It's not going to be a leveling up for us, no matter the value that Thomas Friedman wishes to place on skilled labor and "roll-up-your-sleeves" work ethic. It has actually been surprisingly easy for me to reconcile with the fact that I will not be able to take from the world as much as the members of the previous generation did. I hope that I'm never so greedy as to turn my back on the principles of equality, or so sure of my country's superiority over others to wait, fascinated, with the sadistic hope that my pretensions of superiority will be confirmed. The joke's on you - I don't have a job to steal. My problem with China is that every country bumpkin and his dog will tell you "China's gon' rule the world one day". Maybe it's a great place, maybe it isn't, but I am inclined to believe the latter from the information I've been given. A country so stifled by its government cannot succeed. I get very annoyed hearing everybody running their mouths about the amazing country that the US owes tons of money to, without bothering to find real information first. - [TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
