I saw Little Miss Sunshine recently and thought the characters of the uncle and the son were sort of interesting, especially their interactions towards the end. I actually don't see a lot of thought-provoking movies, as I think books are much better. I did like The Butterfly Effect though, but I haven't read the book version yet so I don't know how it compares.

I tried to make a new underwater dome, but it was too deep so I died multiple times. I lost my first flint & steel, and when I went to get another I accidentally burned down the closest base, which happened to be a treehouse-style building made entirely of wood. Minecraft hates me.

At the bottom of my staircase is water 2 blocks deep. When I want to get to the bottom I drop into it. Great idea. Aeon, making a staircase that large is a waste of time, and you will fall off it often. In the future, build a 2-by-1 shaft with ladders up one side. This conserves pickaxes and helps you get to the bottom faster, where all the good ores are. I started building an underwater dome, and completely remodeled my underwater passageway. Then the game crashed, and loaded me in the same place with the same inventory, but deleted my recent buildings. Stupid "alpha".

I'm guessing you've recently seen "Zeitgeist"? Yup. That and some other things turned me away from Christianity. I find it funny, how people assume that Christianity copied that, but what if they copied Christianity? Or if not Christianity, the basic forms of Judaism. I've never seen or heard about Zeitgeist, but I do know that parts of Christianity are nearly identical to parts of various Pagan religions which were dated centuries before the events of Christianity. So do you not like Christianity, or you've decided that we lack the evidence of the knowledge of the ideology of a god? Yep, I've noticed that as well. I'm not trying to provoke you, and I'm sorry if you felt that way. As far as my "flawed" logic goes, I actually think you should reconsider your own logic. You begin with an assumption that I didn't start playing video games young based on nothing at all, then proceed to link that, somehow, to the idea that I haven't experienced as much, and that directly to the fact that I'm incapable of higher thought. Your book may be for a specific audience, but it will be recieved by the public. That includes all the annoying teenagers, the ones you avoided while living under a rock with your computer; all the annoying parents, the ones you apparently have never heard of; and all the critics, newspapers, and TV shows which will rip it apart, misinterpret it, analyze it, extrapolate on it, or ignore it, completely independent of your own intentions. As far as your views on parenting go, if children are constantly regulated by their parents, they will be unable to learn. Childhood is about making mistakes and learning from these mistakes. Also, to encourage parents to enforce stricter controls on video games could easily have the opposite effect to the one you've imagined - I know when my mother took my Game Boy Advance, I just ended up wanting it more. In this day and age, children are becoming more and more controlled as the scare stories get out and the parents get increasingly protective. Your book would be counterproductive. I've actually heard stories of young adults who went away to college, only to return home upon realizing that they didn't know how to cook anything more than spaghetti and had never used a laundry machine. I must interject one last point: Go to a bookstore. Look around. What you will see is only a fraction of a fraction of the books the modern person has access too, and many don't even read books. The idea that you could, overcoming the many obstacles of writing a novel, produce an autobiography as a man in his mid-20s or so, coming from a background of complete obscurity, that would actually be widely recieved and well-known and eventually change anyone's life is preposterous. This book, if actually finished, may help you to find "closure", it may only contribute to your egocentricity, but at least you will finally feel you have done something with your life. I applaud you for attempting such a gargantuan task, if you decide to do so, but don't expect it to make waves - you will end up even more disappointed with yourself.

Aeon, shovels are for dirt and gravel, so yes, they're useful, but not as useful as pickaxes. The Hell dimension looks awesome, as do the ghasts. I'm sorry, but I disagree with pretty much everything you wrote. I would read your book only because it might be interesting. I dislike cops, but I won't get into that. You don't need much to become one, though. If it's hard in your area, move somewhere else. I don't support your book for two reasons: You're wrong, and it will cause problems. You are wrong in that you are blaming the internet for your problems and you think everyone ("80%") else on the internet are ruining their lives just by spending time on it. Your anti-social feelings were what led you to the internet, not the other way around, and they only worsen because you are constantly telling yourself you're awkward. Just go out and force yourself to be less awkward - it's a mental issue. Other issues you may have (poor work habits leading to bad grades, probably) are part of your personality, not part of the internet. The internet is not the problem here - rather, your own faults have brought failure upon you. I say it will cause problems because people (parents) will read this book and think it's actually accurate. I hate parents who read "How to be a parent" books, and I hate authors who give poor advice. You will really just contribute to the feelings of irrational anti-modernization that plague all middle-aged people at some point.

Plus, the people I'm talking to start to feel awkward and go talk to other friends. As far as physical attraction goes, it's interesting to consider that what we see as "attractive" is actually "average" in the sense that it's not too big or small, and not out of place.

Your mention of Dresden reminds me of Slaughterhouse Five, which I thought was brilliant, but I wouldn't call it my favorite. 1st To Die was probably my favorite thriller, The Shining my favorite horror, and all of the Sherlock Holmes stories my favorite mysteries, but if I have to pick one book as my overall favorite, it's my collection of Poe's works. It was the first thing I read when I got back into reading after that space between children's and adults' books, and his stories have stuck with me over the years. I actually haven't finished it yet :oops: It's massive, and I like to just read one story at a time before getting into a new novel.

No, too bad for pirates. /b/ is throwing its immature little temper tantrums (which will have no real effect, and deserve no notice) because it knows it's on the wrong side this time. Governments will eventually be able to enforce their internet laws, and no matter how many online "revolutions" they've started, people who distribute pirated works will be punished for the laws they broke. With time, media sales will be orchestrated more conveniently for the customer, and pirating will be unnecessary. Until then, 4chan can "cry moar" about how unfair the laws are. The fact remains that pirating is both illegal and morally irresponsible, and I will not support any defense of it.

The desire for acceptance is a fault of humanity, and it's not something you can change. Now, it's definitely not good to be completely fake, but I think a little bit of change is necessary. Just imagine how the world would be if people never changed who they were - I think a great recent example would be your sister. She changed who she was to accommodate your homosexuality, and that definitely wasn't a bad thing. The real problem comes when people take it to extreme levels. BTW, speaking of changing yourself, the character in your siggy is a girl.

Stay moving, eat food, chew gum, drink coffee. Take a 20 minute nap if you get the chance. If you must, take the day off or go home early. Today I actually got a full night of sleep, for once. Except that it was from 2 PM to 11 yesterday :D
