I'm copying the format of previous posts in a completely unoriginal manner. Am I cool or what?

You nostalgia you lose
I had a couple smaller ones from that series. It always annoyed me how Lego would release the same sets over and over, just fiddling around with the looks a bit and giving it a new storyline. I believe you have lost the game.

That's a hard lesson to learn.
If I was a homeowner in that area I'd get the hell out. I'd probably light the fire station on fire first though. I wonder what would happen if they forgot to pay the fee... >.> I think it should be an offense to let a house burn down really, they could be sued for it though, correct? Technically, no. It was definitely immoral, but perfectly legal. The owners were aware that they had not payed the fee for fire protection - The real issue is that there even was a fee. If the fire department wants money, it should be in a tax that doesn't give people any other option.

How do I make the background of something transparent? I just realized the background of my avatar only works with the default skin.- The Mansion
I search the floor for shards of glass from the shattered lantern. If I see any, I pick them up. I then look around the brightly-lit corridor to assess my options. Are there doors? What happens to the paintings when they burn?- Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
My posts felt too serious without a monkey laughing at them from the sidelines. I moved the Poe stuff into my siggy.- Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Maybe I'm wierd, but trees have always given me wood. Forgive my bad pun- Columbus Day in the United States
I was just about to bring this up. Everyone complains about how evil Columbus was, but the settlers of New England comitted similar crimes. In fact, John Smith even wrote in his diary that he was trying to imitate Columbus because Columbus took control of the natives so quickly. I don't remember the exact information, but multiple presidents deported the Eastern American natives into central and western areas, and many of the northeastern tribes were almost completely eliminated by disease and European wars.- Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
What about a not attractive female climbing a very attractive tree? I came into this thread completely unprepared for this discussion.- What is your motivation?
This question doesn't really apply to me, as I'm not motivated and I don't do anything. But I guess if I have to give an answer, I would say I read books and TIF because they interest me, I got the Gershwin CD I'm listening to right now because I wanted to listen to it, and I searched the basement for sheet music because I wanted to get back into piano. So...I am motivated to do random things by my random interest in them? Like Dizzle said, I want to enjoy life.- Columbus Day in the United States
So much ignorance. Asians did reach America at multiple times throughout history (before Columbus), as did Phoenicians and Egyptians. Columbus was the first European to set foot on the Americas, and the social situation in Europe at the time made him a hero. His character has been greatly distorted by many textbooks in the past, but modern books and classes fully expose his crimes and point out that he was not the first. E: That's ridiculous. If you read De Las Casas, he gives evidence that the Native Americans were very intelligent, quick learners, and happy to accept a Christian God. They may or may not have been very peaceful - I don't have specific evidence here - but their violence does not compare to that of the Spanish conquistadores.- That's a hard lesson to learn.
If I was a homeowner in that area I'd get the hell out. I'd probably light the fire station on fire first though.- National Coming Out Day
I know you didn't want to discuss the day itself, but I must say I find it a bit silly. The whole point of coming out is that a homosexual should do it in a time and place that they feel comfortable, so setting up a specific day for it is just dumb.- Last one to post wins

A mi me gusta las frambuesas en la biblioteca. Which translates to: There are many ghosts in the train station.- What language do you think in?
I believe you would only think that you're thinking in fluent French, but actually thinking in gibberish that you perceive as French. Since the critical parts (the thinking parts) of the brain is usually shut down during sleep, I doubt you can actually recognize yourself speaking a language you don't actually know. How could you imagine a language you don't know? Your brain draws from your experiences, you couldn't magically know how to speak a language just because you were asleep. Why are you asking me? It's Serpent Eye that asked the question. I think you'd either use the bits that you picked up from experiences, or just perceive gibberish as whatever language you imagine yourself thinking in. I was asking SerpentEye, I just clicked reply on your post because it was the same discussion.- What language do you think in?

Like ballerplaya said, sexuality is just part of your personality. It shouldn't dominate your life, nor should you ignore it. You shouldn't be ashamed to be different. Rather, you should be ashamed to not be different at all. I treat sexuality as a joke for two reasons. The first is that pretending to be homosexual or bringing it up is a great way to troll. The second is that where I live homosexuality isn't a huge issue. People know I'm straight, so I can joke about it. It's like making a joke about how you're really black when you're actually a stereotypical white guy.- Homosexuality: Right or Wrong?
I'm in Massachusetts (the Gay State), so there aren't many openly gay people who don't feel entitled, and everyone involved feels self-righteous. We've got all sorts of "Save the GLBT" clubs at school. However, there are some nice gays, especially outside the normal clique(which happens to be the drama kids - what a coincidence). I know of one semi-closeted football player who's probably the nicest boy in the grade. This reminds me, today a girl posted copypasta in her status about how one in ten people are gay, and they are all hated for it, and if you have the balls you'll repost this, but only 5% of people will. It annoyed me muchly. Besides the copypasta and the guilt trip, the statistics are completely wrong, or at least not provable. - Ask your questions or sig resizing here!
