  1. Forum categories....? Edit: Why was this moved to Rate this and Advice....?
  2. This will not effect me at all, except for maybe when I do clues/KBD (and I mean effect as in it won't change my playing style, obviously this update will technically effect me, it'll effect everyone in some way)
  3. food. Potions. dds claws What are we supposed to discuss here?
  4. solo mage rex isn't bad money, it was around 2m an hour when I used to do it at a lower level (and that was with COG+uni, not on task) Yes hy/tri-briding is better, but that doesn't make maging bad money. Looking at his stats though, he shouldn't have trouble tribriding at all, so it must just be a bit of skill factor if he's been unable to do it  As for the question. Turmoil is a bigger jump from Piety then Ovl is from Extremes, turmoil is better for more things then ovl is. However, DKs is not one of those. DKs is one of the places where OVL benefit you so heavily that, if you really plan to do it A LOT, then Ovl would be much better then turmoil to get first
  5. The only factor that effects what you hit with the spec is your strength level. The swords always hits between 50%-150% of your normal max hit with the sword. If you can hit 300 with the sword, the spec will hit a number between 150-450. Protecting from magic will lower the ammount of damage you take from the spec.
  6. You don't have to physically say "You're dumb" for it to be apparent that you think they are. It also isn't just on this thread I've noticed it. Don't like to much into it, it happens on like every other thread that's made here. If anything, people being jerks makes it more fun to read.
  7. +1. Adding slayer to combat level is easily the dumbest idea on the table here. Nah, I think adding skills like Fletching and Runecrafting would be dumber. At least slayer allows you to kill more things with combat...a whole like...30 things  (geez, you guys really like to insult people too much just because they had an odd idea, you can try being a little nicer about things...instead of flat out calling them dumb...)
  8. maybe because most of the people with enough intelligence to chat have figured out that chopping yews or fishing at the fishing guild are stupid things to do Not if there F2p (to the yews) Just because fishing and WC aren't efficient...doesn't mean any less ammount of people do it nowadays...more people do it now then 5 years ago because...well, there's more people. Just nobody talks now, they're either in a clan chat talking to them with Public off, or on hide so they don't notice. Talking on voice softwares like Ventrillo and Skype, multitasking, or...just bots. It's not like people slaying are all that talkative either, and slayer isn't a stupid thing to do
  9. I don't get it.... That isn't what a manipulator looks like...
  10. Veracs, CLS, maul. Anything else is too inaccurate. Range is only decent there for solos, and only for staying power.
  11. Yes you can...but I find it horribly annoying to pick up all my items again, as well as loose any potential gatestones I put in the dungeon. There's only like...3 bosses I mage, so it's hardly an issue to even consider it for that. As for having two surgers making ammo not a problem...you'd be surprised  It's more of a preference then anything. I never said blazer was more efficient, just that I liked it more. It's also fun to soul split the blazer hits.
  12. The first necklace is f2p, the other two are not (I think) I think what the patch did was stop the higher two from working in f2p, because they previously did and were not supposed to. The lower one is F2p, and should still work like normal. I sure hope that's how it worked...
  13. I like blazer more then blitzer personally, uses less runes. Then again, I don't do "pro" rushes, so I end up using more runes killing demons/warriors and such that don't actually need to be killed. Other rings to raise would be berserker, gatherer, and desperado.
  14. random note...when you report for macroing...you can't get in trouble for false reporting that rule. If you suspect they might be a bot...just report them (or not, it's up to you), you WILL NOT get in trouble if they turn out to not be a bot.
  15. I wear the normal On task setup. Full bandos, obby shield. I have enough range defense, it doesn't change the fact that sometimes...monsters and players alike...the "luck" factor in the combat system decides to own you. If he hits me 3 times in a row, I have to down 3+ brews to stay out of instant death range. It has happened....I always have restores though, I've only had to wait to mage rex once, and that was my first serious attempt there :P (why are we even talking about this, it has nothing to do with your Ely Vs. Div)
  16. well, that was a funny Joke thread to read.
  17. It's not so much how well, but how often... The way Nex moves a lot Steel Titan wouldn't be viable for nearly all her phases. By the time the steel titan has a chance to attack Nex she's across the map. A BoB / Uni would be so much more beneficial over a BoB / Titan. A steel titan spec has longer range then any style of combat a player can use. If you're able to hit nex, your titan will be able to as well, at least with it's spec. But the biggest challenge with familiar combat is getting the damn thing attacking in the first place, and every time Nex teleports everyone loses aggro. You'd have to run back into range, call the titan, click familiar attack on Nex, and then click the spec. By the time you finish all that, she'll have almost certainly have teleported again. Also, steel titan specs are very inaccurate, only really good on low defense monsters like TDs. I can't see it hitting over 0 very often at all on Nex. The extra healing from uni is waaaay better. I'm not going to argue if the titan is better or not, because honestly, I agree with you, a unicorn would provide much great benefit. As for getting the titan to attack... You should already have the spec ready, this can be done at anytime if you are in a line of sight with your titan. Set your Summoning icon to attack. click it, then click on nex. Assuming you've got the spec set, the titan will hit nex if it's within sight. Loosing agro doesn't mean your titan can't attack, because you were in combat "recently", which is the only criteria for a familiar to fight. So the only issue is if the titan will hit, and if the extra damage would benefit you more then a unicorn (which I doutb) My original point wasn't to say the titan was better, just to explain how Nex moving around would not change it's function.

  19. You should brew only in the time between after you finish rex and in the first half of supreme. Do not brew after supreme has 1/2 hp; if you find yourself having to do this you should have brewed more during the first half of the kill. If you bring half super rests half regular ppots your mage level should never be an issue. So if supreme randomly hits 3 high 200s-low 300s on me in the last half (which has happened many times), I did something wrong? But overall for DKs....SSing on supreme and rex is so easy...brews are rarely used.
  20. u realize u get the drop even if u don't deal most damage right? ;) He didn't say you did, he just said he got it with a dfs spec.
  21. If you haven't been able to deal damage to the wolf yet...it's your own problem. The Maxed players aren't stopping you from doing this....on the wolf I killed, most of the people were level 70-100....only a couple of them didn't get the items that kill. It's EXTREMELY easy to attack (and damage) the wolf.
  22. Damage soak is just something that helps out a little....it shouldn't be at all compared to the spirit shields unless your taking hits of 600+ or more (is that about right?), and that's only to compare it with ely.
  23. Yes, we shouldn't be allowed to get these items for training after 99 and for the looks of them either . You have 4 weeks to kill it then like 3 months to use the gloves, there's no rush. yes you shouldn't.. Is it so wrong to ask something for non-maxed people one day? really everything these days is for maxed people and even the things especially said for "mid level" are getting massed by people with maxed combat.. - If you are just land 1 hit and then wait till everyone can do that! All you have to do....is click on it....they even made is left clickable..... They is literally the ONLY thing you have to do to get an item from the wolf...is click on it.... If you can't do that, get a better reaction...because it takes you about 10 seconds to react. Btw, I attacked the first spawn I saw, got both paws and mask....well...that was a fun update that I'm already done with....now what?
  24. I think the bone necklace patch is about the two member ones, they probably still worked in F2p, so they fixed it. The one F2p necklace should still work
