  1. Pures won't fight you...they'll fight people who are their level.
  2. It's not bad? But not great either. I prefer teams with a lot of hexes and surges. what monsters are stab-worthy? Dragons? Hexhunter is better on them. Demons? Hexhunter and surgebox are both better on these. Brutes? Surgebox is better. Hobgoblins? They aren't in occults-warped are they? and they don't have that much crush def. Hellhounds/Dogs? Primal 2h has like 50% accuracy with crush anyways, it's not quite worth it. Dogs are better to slash then they are to crush. I have like 80%+ accuracy on dogs with a primal b axe slashing
  3. Ichimaru....the idea behind Quyneax's advice is that once you hit 99 herblore...you'll never have to make any extreme potions again...ever...unless you're 24/7 camping Corp and Nex for 2 years... It is much more efficient to do it that way, because spending money to get the level...and THEN making the extremes will ultimately cost more money. If I used the cheapest method to get to 91 herblore that costed around...40m (I have no idea...just a random number)...ok, so I got the level to make extremes at a cheaper price...except now I have no extremes to show for it, unless I start making them now...when I don't need the xp to make extremes...I should be making overloads by now...But I can't, because I need to make extremes to do that now. So now not only did I spend the 40m to get 91 herblore, I'm now going to spend even more money just to make the extreme potions...that I should have already made....
  4. 6 brews 2 range/ext pots 1 super/ext atk 1 super/ext str helm switch weapon switch (should be between Whip and Crossbow/Karil X bow/Crystal bow) Spec weapon (EE or claws) rest super restores. Don't bother with AGS (you actually could sell it since you have claws for a spec weapon, they're just as good), jad has low defense, a whip will tear through him, especially if you're in void. Make sure to use Eagle eye (rigour if you have it) through the waves, and piety on jad. My only final note would be this. If you're going to melee jad, why not just melee the whole cave? It would go a lot faster and save you two inventory spots for more restores. The only worry would be the 360s, which you simply kite (very easy to do with a whip/rapier, since you attack at the same speed as them) You went through 3 years of law school so you could bounce ideas on a runescape forum? You're ideas aren't new, they're old and outdated by better and newer methods. It's almost like you've taken a 2 year+ break from Runescape. If that's the case, then stop posting advice, because chances are, things have changed and answers today will be a lot different then they were 2 or 3 years ago. Start reading up on the changes first, get to know the best current methods, and then start "bouncing ideas"
  5. Pre bunyip, ee and soul split, it's nice to have, However, for most slayer tasks, I'm pretty sure taking a few B2P tabs would overall be more efficient then switching your helm and spear (getting slower kills when you do this, + the extra degrading costs, while small, it is still there) I used to slay with guthans until I got a bunyip way back, then I never needed it.
  6. Uh, that's more like 2 dots. Not even connected in a line. No extremes and the current combat level sounds just fine. No extremes because it's not shown to the level > Rework the level > No Extremes ... It looks like a circle to me and no, it doesnt sound just fine ... wasn't the wildy supposed to be .. dangerous .. or it's supposed to be dangerous for skillers but not for pkers who don't want to skill ? Am I getting it right ? Stop putting words in people's mouths, it's really annoying.
  7. :wall: :wall: :wall: That has never been true. really? there is a reason damn near no one kills the dinos, its lowers exp No one kills them because they don't need to....it does not lower xp...I can't believe people still believe this [cabbage] of a rummor....[bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]s....
  8. F2p dont have ghasts
  9. people aren't going to bless graves anymore unless they're your friends now.
  10. Yet should the very best of the best armour be used by the average player? Besides, I've told several times that with the current timing mechanism (where only the half-seconds are counted that are actual combat) the equipment time is much longer then 10 hours.. (more in the range of 20 hours, maybe 30 if you boss hunt solely with these things). No...I never implied that (seriously.......so many times...words are put in my mouth....) Among someone at yours, my and gol's levels it is I disagree. Just because it's possible for me to make like...10-20% more then 3m...that doesn't make 3m an hour bad. I still consider 2m an hour good, and 1m an hour decent depending on what it is you're doing to get it.
  11. well, he isn't wrong about 3m/hr not being chump change...for about...99% of the players in RS, that's far from chump change.
  12. Is it really more likely to do that? Or is just the system trolling those with high LSP :P
  13. I know...this is purely out of curiousity, I simply want to know what income is required for these weapons to be worth using. I don't expect a reasonable answer.
  14. you speak be so disparagingly about other bosses than the top 3.... - Remember the biggest achievement in runescape is to have fun! And I can see why some people like other bosses more than others.. (IE: saradomin uses kiting mechanisms a lot, bandos advocates the use of roles, kalphite queen uses protection prayers)... There's no reason to call that "nooby"! Calling a boss nooby doesn't mean they're bad, just easy. He doesn't speak disparagingly about them, all he says is their drops are low valued (comparatively of course). He never said they weren't worth killing still (although bandos is one of the only ones still that is worth killing :P) Dagannoth kings seems pretty nooby to me now skill wise. It's easy for me, the drops are also very low value, they just have a high drop rate. They're still very much worth doing. He was just talking about how getting drops from Lootshare is so much different at bosses like Nex and Corp, then that of Bandos and Dagannoth kings. It isn't really that bad if someone snipes a bandos chest from you, you can make that up in less then a day with another drop. Missing a torva platebody is another story, that's some serious [cabbage] right there.
  15. Ok, so I already know that the gravite rapier and longsword are both general not worth getting for f2p, because the cost is too high for the small boost compared to the rune scimtar, but I'm just curious... at what income would the gravite rapier and longsword actually be better to use then the rune scimtar? The stats for the rune scimitar are as follows +7 stab +45 slash +44 strength At 99 strength, the max hit in f2p according to the tip.it max hit calculator is 275* The stats for the gravite rapier are as follows +50 stab +9 slash +48 strength at 99 strength, the max hit in f2p according to the tip.it max hit calculator is 284* The stats for the Gravite longsword are as follows +43 stab +53 slash +54 strength At 99 strength, the max hit in f2p according to the tip.it max hit calculator is 314* Assume I pay the full 1m to repair weapons, assume the monsters I'm fighting do not have a specific weakness, they have the same stab defense as they do slash defense. Paying the full 1m repair costs, at what income would either gravite weapon to be worth using? Assume I pay 100k + 10k tokens to rapier weapons, continue assuming the monsters I'm fighting do not have a specific weakness. What income would they become worth using then? *The max hits are factoring in a strength amulet, rune berserker shield, rune gauntlets, as well as a strength potion and 15% strength prayer. Not just the weapons alone
  16. I think the problem is perspective. It seems like you only look to all the bad aspects in teammates. Sure, there are a lot of people that are jerks and elitists, but there are some who are actually trying to help. I've met a fellow who literally took 5 minutes after defeating the boss so that he could help me make strong poisons for the sagit arrows I got from the skeleton trio. In the end, I thanked him for being very considerate to me. If people start talking back or arguing, then just leave the team and forget everything that happened. They'll learn from it eventually. I don't think teaming is all that bad tbh. You learn to work together, and maybe even make friends. What so frustrating about that? Wow I would kick you for wasting 5 minutes of my time. Too bad you can't after doing boss. It was a one time event to make poison for arrows you elitest scum......5 minutes in one dungeon wouldn't kill you.
  17. I edited this in while you were reading. I'm not very familiar with xp rates in f2p, so I really can't answer how long it would take to get tokens I would guess at higher levels, your xp rates might be somewhere around the 40-50k xp/hour if you have really good teams for F2p (teams that can finish dungeons fast are considered good for this skill, in p2p, "pro" dungeoneers consistently complete large dungeons under 30 minutes), so 4-5k tokens an hour. Again, i really don't know. I would probably actually guess less then that, just because my experience with f2p dungeons has shown me that Damonhiem (the place where you dungeoneer) hates f2p players.
  18. Their drop rate is horrible, ancient cavern is better. If you're going to cannon them, you'd be better off bursting rock lobs for charms, and I think even Black demons would give you more crimsons, their drop rate is that bad.
  19. Here is the link to the rewards page for dungeoneering, make sure you take notice to what is F2p and what is P2p http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/dungeoneering_rewards I've already given you calculations for the gravite 2h vs the rune 2h The Maple Longbow sighted gives +110 range attack, which is a huge boost in accuracy compared to any other f2p bow. Of course, if you're fighting 1 def pures, you'd still want to use a normal shortbow for the raw DPS, but for those wearing armor, the sighted longbow will give you a huge edge. No dungoeneering rewards increases your max hit with range For magic, there's the gravite staff which offers the highest magic attack (15) bonus, as well as a 5% damage increase for magic. The arcane blast necklace gives a +12 magic attack (vs the +10 of a normal magic amulet), as well as a 10% damage increase. The staff and necklace stack, giving you a 15% damage increase in magic damage. Another additition is the Magical Blastbox, which can store air blast runes in your shield spot, so all you need in your inventory is elemental runes for your spell, as well as randomly dealing 25% more damage to your opponent (when fighting monsters, this damage is ALWAYS applied to your 5th consecutive hit) With those 3 items, and using a Wizards mind bomb (Boosts your magic by 3 levels) fire blast's max hit becomes. 160 * 24% = 198 rounded down, adding on the blast box's effect hitting 247 (note that the boosted damage from the blast box comes in it's only hit splat, so you'd actually see at 198, and a 49 hit, instead of a solid 247) Now, keep in mind that if you loose a reward from dunogeoneering, the only way to get it back, is to dunogeer again, and save up tokens to buy a new one, so use them at your own risk, as replacing them is quiet costly time wise. You will need approximately 63-64 dungeoneering (around 400k xp) to afford your first gravite weapon Dungeoeering tokens are rewarded by completing dungeons, you gain 1 token for ever 10 dungeoneering xp you gain when completing a dungeon. So when you finish a dungeon, if you get 10k xp, you will get 1k tokens. Take note that if you get a more odd number of xp, like 8758, it rounds down, so you will receive 875 tokens, instead of 876. Because of this, you will need slightly above 400K xp to get a gravite weapon, which costs 40k tokens. Gravite weapons degrade, and cost 1m (or 100K + 10k dungeoneering tokens) to repair from 0 charge - 100 charge. They last for 10 hours of combat turns (so it's actually quiet longer then 10 hours) Here is a guide for f2p duneoneering http://forum.tip.it/topic/274964-sonics-f2p-dungeoneering-guide/
  20. Getting 59 mage will not change your combat level at all unless you train it with combat spells, which would raise your combat Via HP. 44 prayer is fine, it lets you use the offensive range prayer, as well as protection prayers in case you get PJed after a kill, or from a rusher (if those even exist in f2p) I didn't know what your hp would be, so I just put you at 70 hp With your goal stats at 70 range, you'd be a melee based level 59 prayer, needing 4 attack/str levels, 4 hp levels, 6 range levels, and 17 magic levels to become level 60 If you're goign to be big into f2p pking, consider training dungeoneering for a gravite 2h (you'd need 45 attack) and a longbow sight, if you plan to actually mage, an arcane blast necklace and gravite staff if you're willing to risk it. According to the Tip.It max hit calculator at 70 strength, your max hit with a gravite 2h would be 268 at 70 strength, your max hit with a rune 2h would be 236 You would need 81 strength to hit 265 with a rune 2h, that's 11 more levels in strength, vs 5 more in attack.
  21. Players are being killed... therefore it's Pking
  22. The answer is Probably to both  The only question I'd ask is if the Buying X of Y items/hour will still be in affect through the GE.
  23. Promethieum 2h (are 2h's still the best for C1?) Primal Gauntles > bloodnecklace > Primal Boots Cosmic runes If he really only does C1 (lol....), then a hood isn't usefull, since he shouldn't need to worry about dieing in the very least, so hitting higher will help more. Cosmics for gatestones to speed up the rush. (why do people say Laws...in a solo C1, you have no Gatestone correct? Since you're the only person there, you can't use the leader as a tele because you'd be teleporting to yourself)
  24. How do you kick from FFA? What are they going to do...leave you there alone...to get the drop? (for easier bosses of course, not for things like Nex :P)
