Yeah, I've found that W7 actually isn't that bad as long as you avoid the parties that are obviously going to suck like the ones where the leader is a level 80 pure who is auto-spamming, or those elitists who say '100 cb minimum'. They may be slightly slower then the pro DG teams, but they're actually quite fun. yeh i can probs finish faster than most teams i get but i just hate solo so much now. whats better in dg. a frac 2h or fac maul, ive seen people using maul and it looks like its better than 2h imo It's between spear and 2h, maul honestly isn't good, unless you plan on ONLY seeing skeletons in a dungeon...good luck with that though.

Just because it doesn't make you money, doesn't mean it shouldn't be looked at. That being said...Magic is Overpowered in Safe Pvp, assuming the mage is actually smart about combat. Meleers are actually the weakest, since they get frozen, and can't do anything. At least rangers are good for tanking in Safe Pvp situations. They can take a lot of damage, and hit accurately on other players. A good example is Clan wars. A team with mostly mages and some range/melee hybrid tanks is ideal. The more mages you have, the more control you have over the field. Melee is only good as a switch for specs and random high hits to quickly take down a pile. However, if the mages on the other team is smart, you should only be able to get one shot off with melee, 2 if you get lucky (but lets face it, most mages don't really watch for that, so a lot of meleers go noticed...makes for fun with a maul :rolleyes: )

I find combat, and getting things to help combat, fun to do. So no, I'm a long ways from giving up on combat.

I think the main issue is that magic is too accurate on rangers. Max mages will hit on full armadyl like a rapier hits through a rune chain. Also add in that a mage can actually farcast rangers. All range has going for it is its accuracy, which isn't much better than mages accuracy. It's max hit barely reaches magic's, and that's only with the rare Dragon Fire bolt spec. The hand cannon comes close, but then you loose a shield, which means you loose even more potential magic defense. It also doesn't have a long enough range to hit a farcasting mage. I don't think mages should be able to farcast rangers...because range is supposed to have....well...range. As for hitting so often...well, i can't say give rangers something that a mage can't hit, because to be balanced, even mages should have some sort of chance against rangers...how ever, currently rangers have barely any chance against mages. The only advantage range has against magic is it's slightly more useful for PvM right now. Makes pretty good tank gear too...against meleers....

Great thing about KBD as well, is at higher levels, when you get access to things like Soul Split and extremes, you never need to leave until you run out of pots (or until my slayer task is done :P)

Honestly, range needs to catch up again, because a max mager dominates a max ranger, which isn't supposed to happen.

Sorry but what planet do you live on? Runes are nowhere near that big as you can see in the rune-crafting animation. Granted they r bigger on the floor, but must items are enalrged or shrunken to fit onto 1 floor tile and have a decent "clickable area" I direct you to seeds Even so about the size...how can you carry a stack of 1k of them? I think the general rule is...if it's extremely easy to bank and come back (like...<30 seconds), fire cape is better for the faster kills. For trips where you want to camp there for a period of time and banking isn't really convenient, Soul Wars cape. I personally use my soul wars cape all the time, I just like the slower drain rate because then I don't have to pay attention as much for when to drink a prayer pot. No testing has been done by me at all though.

My first was from greaters after about 4 tasks dry. I'd say the rate for me seems around 1/150. Although it might depend on the monster, because I notice more from Dark Beasts than any other there. Might just be coincidence though.

I can carry whole sets of armor, stacks of 1k+ runes which are the size of a plate each, and a dwarf cannon in my pocket.

1) Going through slayer tasks as fast as possible (using Piety/turmoil, Super/extreme pots, combat familiars, cannon) 2) In terms of slayer xp, yes 3) Less profitable per task. The idea is mainly get xp as fast as possible, then use the time saved making money in other ways. If you want to "make money" from slayer, power slay less. 4) Strictly efficiency speaking, you don't do them at all, since the average profit is not worth it. But if you must do them...after. 5) You'll almost always break even 6) Faster slayer xp, faster combat xp, time saved to make more money. takes a lot of attention, you don't make as much "money" per task. Setting up a cannon near people makes you less popular (lol) 7) For strictly slayer xp...99 melees/magic, 95 prayer, 89 herblore, 99 summoning For a mix of combat experience and slayer....as soon as you become a member. (well, technically...right after you get extremes, but I wouldn't expect a new member to get those)

That would mean tassets are better...since they give both prayer AND strength bonus. Smart people slay in Bandos (after they have more important stuff though of course) As for the extra 50m. Do you have access to extreme pots? (level 85-86 herb for comfortable stewing) If not, 50m could get you there assuming you're smart about your buys and have a scroll of cleansing. For prayer, get 95 in one go. Piety isn't worth giving up for just soul split

aren't onyx rings buyable in the ge now over a day or two? (or at least the onyx...which is easy from there)

If you have no rewards left to get, I'd spend them on your ring classes, leaving yourself at around 200k tokens though in case of new rewards (or chaotic loss) in the future. Once your ring is done....xp I guess.
