  1. Agreed, leaving unstable out just gives more to worry about. Prayer drain is no big deal when there's a fairy ring to Zaranis literally in the same chamber, and bots made sure prayer potions are as cheap as dirt. actually I used to kill sapping last then switched to killing unstable last. The glacor will only start to heal after a couple minutes, and since your hitting 500-900 very often, 9 times out of 10 the healing wont give you a problem. plus I noticed that the sapping mini will take away 10 prayer points per hit but the glacor itself saps away even more, i think maybe 30 or 40 which is significant. Im easily using 3-4 less p pots per trip than i was before and kills don't seem to be any longer Iv'e noticed this aswell. The Glacor seems to sap more than double what the small one does. Regardless, leaving the unstable to last creates more problems than it solves imo and the marginal save in cost for ppots is redundant as ,others have said, ppots are cheap as [cabbage] right now.
  2. They all look same as their prior quests except Khazard & Azzandra who were in human form to blend in. Hazeel I'm not sure but I vague recall him being mahjratt look since they updated hazeel cult. It sucks that you cant go and talk to Sliske after the quest is done. I don't care if he tried to enslave me, he's still the best one of the lot.
  3. Kinda like a void mace. Ah ok, thanks for both of you clearing that up, feel kinda nooby now. >.> This set still sounds really useful, probably on par with how good Guthans was for Slayer and such before it became outdated with the release of Summoning. Unspam coming up, too much discussion to be had for this thread.
  4. So it's a melee weapon that gives a magic damage bonus? I'm confused.
  5. He is in it, hes the guy with the horns. I'm not surprised you missed him though, he had about two lines of dialogue. [hide]Also, can someone please explain to me how Khazard is just suddenly 'alive' again? When I say that, I mean, how did he go from getting his ass kicked by us and becoming a part of the shadow realm, to becoming a 10 foot tall walking tank that is suddenly made up of flesh and bone again?[/hide]
  6. So the robes actually do give a 10% boost to magic damage. Unless that bonus is from the weapon which would make no sense as its a melee weapon; I can see these robes staying pretty damn expensive. No unspam.
  7. Could you give me some pointers on how to get that number? I would also love to know how this Is done.
  8. If you take the boat from the Kyatt hunter area there is whole new entrance to the Ghorrock castle that isn't in wildy. If you attached the rope to the tree it means you can just climb that it and will take you straight to the fight.
  9. Can you upload a picture of you wearing the top? Pretty interested to see what it looks like.
  10. [hide] Just a quick note as nobody seems to have mentioned it yet. Kiting bouncer is probably easier but if you can't, you can lure him over to Wahisetel (sp?) and he will one hit kill him.[/hide]
  11. No fight against Lucien = crappy, disappointing quest. Clearly I should listen to the word of someone who hasn't even done the quest and fervently moans and [bleep]es about everything Jagex does. Get back under your bridge. @Saradomin Mage The quest was harder than WGS imo, Both the Balance elemental and the quest specific Td's were a million times easier than the last couple of fights in RotM. Yes Rotm was much shorter than WGS but length doesn't = difficulty as shown by Nomad. I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince people that this quest was amazing because in the end its all opinion. But in the end, it all comes down to overblown expectations.
  12. Best quest ever. The cutscenes were amazing, far surpasses anything they've done prior to this quest. So it wasn't that long, who honestly cares? The story was superb and pretty much everything was answered. People need to stop getting their expectations so high and expect every quest to be WGS length. Haters gonna hate.
  13. As a person who dislikes dung, I love posts like this that fuel my idea that without the rewards it's just another crap mini-game & the rewards are the only insentive to grind it. Considering I refuse to train dung, d-xbow would be great to me. Get back under your bridge please. I remember when the trolls used to say "Slayer is not a skill!" Wonder what'll happen when they release the next skill... The people who think that Dungeoneering isn't a skill need to take a long, hard look at Construction :P Also, I'm aware that Ali the Wise and Akriskae are in that picture, I just thought that a Temple Knight Acolyte promotion is rather a far-flung prediction based on a picture containing White Knight Acolytes. I'm looking forward to Acolyte armour, really, but I'm not sure I want it out of this quest. If we do get it, I'm guessing it will be obtained in a similar way to elite black knight armour and Dagon'hai robes. Not a direct reward from the quest but something we are given out of necessity.

  15. He isn't. On the topic of Sliske, if he is killed/dies in RotM, I will be disappoint.
  16. Looks like the Dragonkin have had a pretty radical graphical overhaul. At least they actually look like dragons now instead of vultures.
  17. Don't be so naive. The media, especially in western culture; has unrivalled power in being able to ruin a persons life and reputation. I don't know where you live, but In England there is almost always a publicised case of a member of the public winning damages and compensation from tabloid newspapers which print slanderous filth which has absolutely no credible source whatsoever. Numerous times, public figures have been accused of rape and had their professional and personal lives torn to shreds only to be later found innocent of all charges. Not that it matters as by that time said person has already been branded as scum and no amount of compensatory money will ever fix that.
  18. The red carpet treatment the Gower brothers gave to players set unrealistic expectations for how Jagex would behave once creating and maintaining Runescape became a livelihood instead of a hobby. How else could people have come to believe that their $5.95/month payment or their exposure to adverts on the side gives them the right to tell Andrew how to live his life, or trumps the hundreds of thousands?/millions? of dollars investors have put into the company? I believe that the reason Jagex has trouble communicating with players is the "drinking from a fire hose" nature of the forums. I assume staff has more efficient tools to read threads than the average player, but still, it takes a long time to sift through the rants and "me too's" to find the thoughtful posts. And after a while, regardless of the desire to serve the community, people who are repeatedly attacked shut down the sympathy/empathy centers of their brains as a survival tactic. I am amazed at how patient Fmods are. On Jiblix's thread, Mod MMG (the CEO) took three hours to compose and post a substantive reply to the thread. He said that Jagex loses money because of botting, is working on a solution, but cannot talk about it, and cannot give a time frame for when he can talk about it. He also said that when the company could talk about it, it will. He believed players would approve, and understand why it could not be discussed. I believe him that Jagex loses money on bots (for reasons I have not yet seen posted anywhere), that they are motivated to solve the problem, and that they are diligently working to solve the problem. I believe him and others that investors are interested in the long-term health of the company. But I reserve the right to judge whether or not I approve of said solution. Too often in the past, a solution eliminated the target problem, but introduced unwanted side effects. I'll wait to see if the cure is better than the disease. Any speculation on what this mysterious solution might be? Honeypots? Working with law enforcement? Some new anti-bot technology? Just to note, it wasn't MMG that made the post in question, it was Mod Matt K that made the long ass post.
  19. 5 or 6 cooked Monkfish for me Me too. I just assumed it was the same for everyone. I got an Uncut Sapphire.
  20. I really really hope that this quest isn't ruined by the signature heroes. They are undoubtedly going to make some sort of appearance in it considering their close ties to some of the major characters like Sir Tiffy. RotM is so deep in lore and already established characters I don't want to see it ruined by a group of idiots that includes a sexually ambiguous smart ass and his stereotypical friends.
  21. Why does it rule the Stone of Jas out? I would say that its not possible for it to be anything other than the stone. After all, Drakan's sister never says that whatever it is that hes obsessed with is in his possession. Because she said he FOUND/DISCOVERED the stone and locked himself away WITH the stone to study it and hasn't been out in centuries. Which is also confirmed by some of the dialogues with sentinels in upper tier who also clearly indicate Drakan is locked away with the stone. So yes it is in his possession. Which rules out Stone of Jas. If the Sentinels do say that, then i guess it can't be Jas. However, I have Screenies of her chat and she never explicitly states that Drakan has it in his possession, only that "He's locked himself away obsessing over some old stone."

  23. Okay, fine. I'll give you a brief summary. [hide=Braches of Darkmayor] one day there was a vampire so you went back to burg drot and talk to the guy and he says to go to the bank and go in an hole and you do. so you find some coffine and get a metallion and its evil so you bring it back to belmont and something to go to mayorditch. and go find other secret hero mans an then talk to more people and you see little girl whos scary and turns out to be trick! Vamprye come out and is actually freind?? so okay then she help and fight dreken you go to darkmayor and use bombs to invincible. you go past Guards and get clothes for digise so then your a vampyre and you make friends with everone and then you find the tree and get the wood and make the weapons. Go back to base and tell mens to get SLafan but hes missin and hes an icene so its plot twist! then you go fight draculas' cousin and a boss fight, so you win and go home but people are still ciff hanger.. the end [/hide] I laughed so much whilst reading this.
  24. Just got my first piece of hybrid after roughly 100 games of FoG using a cc for fast games. Definitely the fastest piece to get, took me about 3 hours I think. Got a second pair about 5 games after the first.
  25. I used it to go from Burgh to barrows and it used no charges so I assume as long as your in the Morytania area, it uses no charges. Also to the comment about Vyres now being a slayer task, do the ones in Darkmeyer actually drop anything other than corpses? Also, as I'm too lazy to check, can the new outfit be stored in PoH?
