  1. 96 Herb Banked, couldn't play on the bexpw and I'm not waiting for the next one.
  2. I stopped watching as soon as I heard the name Tim Westwood.
  3. [/hide] How is playing runescape any different from playing music, they did because they enjoyed it. I bet they practiced long hours being "unhealthy". Most things that take that long to Master are "pointless" but, people do it as it is there passion, and imo it doesn't matter what that passion is, unless it involves hurting someone else. Anyway, S U O M I, dw about it, 1 supporter is worth 1000 haters, so post it :) And i know myself, and many others would really enjoy it :) And Paperbag, hope your okay now. Because playing music is real, not a game. It's also considered a job, it earns you keep and money and serves society. Playing RuneScape constatnly does none of that. It's also not pysical. And the Beatles wouldn't have played 16hours per day because it's impossible to have what is considered a normal life putting that much time into something. Unless you guys wanna live with your mums forever. I guess most of you who are saying this are still at school?? well I finished school 2 years ago, have you ever done your own washing? Cooked your own meals, cleaned your house? sureley if you;ve done these things you realise how much time it takes up. And then earning the money to live.. Look if you can;t see what's wrong with playing 16hours a day then.. [cabbage] you needs to go to a psychiatrist. Imagine what you're parents think, you're sitting in front of a screen for 16hours a day. What about getting a wife, and a family? How would you suppport that. Same for parents who play on RS - incredibly irresponsible.. also yeah, I'd reckon that p[laying 16hours a day is harming 2 people - your parents. At least, or your friends. Say my passion is doing heroin, it's not hurting anyone and i only do it 16hours a day. everyday. Effectively yeah it's the same, it's obviously not. but your rendering yourself useless for 16hours. You can't survive in life by being good at a game. There's a massive difference between real life and computers. I know this has been warned against, but I really don't care. You MAY be 100% right about these people, but that doesn't matter. You or nobody else has the right to tell someone how to lead their lives. Playing 16 hours a day may seem sad to you, but others probably do enjoy it. I really don't see why it's any of your problem to be honest, If i were you, I would just get on with leading your own life instead of telling others what is wrong/right with theirs. I took the bait.../rant.
  4. Why do they insist on using the same shade of blue for everything? It's the exact same blue as the cwars cape which just looks horribe IMO. Would like it much better if it was the dark blue of the agility cape. In regards to the designs I chose: A2 B2 C4 D3 E2 E3 does look pretty awful, not as bad as E4 but still pretty bad. Flames on a cape just look poor regardless IMO.
  5. EDIT: Nevermind, didn't see the other topic lol.
  6. Bad idea, WoW clones never end up doing well. They should be trying to distinguish themselves from WoW (Resulting a substitute good) rather than trying to be like them (Resulting in an inferior good). Agreed with the Malzra dude, I've played WoW before and can already see a lot of similarities in recent runescape updates. Bonus Xp Weekend(bonus honor weekend in WoW). Nex Multi-Phase fight(Raids anyone?). Grand Exchange(Auction House? Although it's still kinda different but same idea). There's probably a bunch of other stuff too that I forgot to mention, but those were the main ones off the top of my head. Hard to say if being like wow is a good thing, personally I wouldn't think it's so bad. I think multi-phase bosses will be the future of runescape bosses, and if they do add such bosses I could see some of the mechanics coming from or being similar to WoW. I just picked a random post about this topic so it isn't aimed at anyone in particular. People are obviously either forgetting or are blissfully ignorant to the fact that WoW didn't create or pioneer any of these things. Auction houses or player owned shops in MMO's are not new concepts at all. FFXI has an auction house that works pretty well as far as I can remember. PoS's are pretty common as well, there's a system for it in Phantasy Star Universe. Multi-phase boss fights or dungeon raids are also found in FFXI. Pretty much every MMO I have ever played has had some form of event that has given players increased exp or drop rates, so that isn't new either. MMORPG games are a genre of video game there's obviously going to be some overlapping somewhere, nobody accuses FPS's for copying each other even though 99% of them are carbon copies of each other.
  7. The DG fixes have just made it a thousand times better than it already was. Kudos to Jagex tbh.
  8. Theres a difference here though. Jagex won't have the luxury of taking as much time as they want as it's not an original IP they created, it's a franchise owned by Hasbro. Jagex may be making the game but Hasbro will be limiting their creative influence by a pretty large margin when it comes to story/character design/deadlines etc.
  9. Derp. Should have known that. Kinda dissapointed me when he wasn't asked to do the voice for Megatron in the first feature film. Although I heard it was to do with the fact that he couldn't do the scratchy throat destroying voice as well as he used to. /offtopic As well as everyone else, other than generating publicity (good or bad) for Jagex I really don't see this being successful at all. Michael Bay's adaptation of them pretty much made all the G1 fans want to kill him so if Jagex screw it up... They ded.
  10. Lol'd Also, I noticed the absence of any mention of Soundwaves G1 voice actor, man I used to love his voice lol.
  11. You make a valid point on G1/G2 Graphics. However that fanbase is very touchy for accuracy and detail - you think runescape players whine? G1 Transformer fan's will be anal over a paint color. Voice acting is key for G1 - Some actors are dead (Latta for Starscream could be substituted perfectly by charles adler) - but the voice actors of prominent characters like Ratchet, Jazz, Thrust, Inferno are dead, Not to mention the voice of Devastator Arthur Burghardt - is pretty hateful to transformers fans and doesn't seem willing to touch anything transformer based currently. if it is G1 The story if it's "cannon" will only cause people to riot if something crazy happens. IF a character got killed from continuity from a videogame - god have mercy on any developers soul. Armada/Energon are interesting picks - but the cartoons were not as loved stateside - more of a comic thing. The toy lines did well. Beast Wars/Machines were fun as a kid, but man, going back to that animation in 2011 is hard to watch. I used to/still do love G1 transformers. (Except for Rodimus) Are Welker and Cullen basically the only G1 voice actors left alive?
  12. This is probably in the wrong forum altogether (move it if it is) but I thought it was too funny not to post it somewhere. Yes, they are developing a Transformers mmo. Source: My link
  13. Or be a 10 year old pker with the vocabulary of a 5 year old who spams the RSOF over and over again.
  14. I'd say it's pretty obvious by now that the only community that Jagex gives two [cabbage]s about is the clan community. Seriously, this [wagon] pet project is just starting to irritate me now. The clan camp DevBlog just shows how little Jagex know about their own community. As others have said, no serious/popular clan is ever going to use it and it's just going to be infested with morons.
  15. So let's just assume that the OP is correct and the game is dying, who gives a flying [bleep]? Runescape is going to die eventually just like every single other MMO because no game lasts forever. That being said, Runescape still has over 100,000 people playing the game even at off peak times so stop whining and spouting the doomsday [cabbage] because everyone is sick of it. /rant. /discussion.
  16. You forgot the; we pay we say!
  17. Yea it is, can't remember which site it was now but Jagex gave them an updated world map which has a new building in south east fally right next to the bank so im assuming this is what it is. Not really any need for a bank if theres one right next to it already.
  18. To be honest, the best thing that can come out of this update is them updating every tree in the game. One area with well detailed trees looks really out of place.
  19. Bear with me here. I'm going somewhere with this. Why do you want bots gone? Off point. JAGEX wants bots gone, or so they say. My point is that they don't; not enough to put any effort into eliminating them. My point is that Jagex is saying whatever it takes to keep players happy while doing whatever they can to maximize profit in the short term. Jagex doesn't want bots gone, and I'm presenting proof. Guess you missed the part where i said 'i'm going somewhere with this.'. No matter I don't think i really believed you would do anything other than skim and deflect. And isn't that they way company's work? Keep customers happy and make money? Why should Jagex be held to a standard greater than any others. They have tried to remove bots, they have wasted a ton of money and time trying. They gave up and settled. They SHOULD have given up. They can't win and no matter how much you may think differently its true. Bot makers enjoy what they do and they WANT jagex to fight them. Your 'moving things around' idea will only motivate them and make them try even harder to beat it (Which they will). Then not only does Jagex still have a bot problem, they have to escalate it and do something even more drastic. Why the [bleep] am I explaining this? IT HAPPENED ~3 YEARS AGO. Are you the secret owner of a botting site? It's ok, you can tell me.
  20. Total Days/(Years*365) times 24. So for you, that'd be 230/2920 times 24. That comes out to be 1.8 hours a day, or 1 hour and 48 minutes a day. Ah thanks, saves me from having to work it out myself with my terrible math skills. But anyway, 1.8 hours a day is pretty good I guess. I was expecting it to be 2+ hours a day at least.
  21. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the wildy wall yet. One small change like that [bleep]ed up hundreds if not thousands of bots for at least a week after the change. If you ask me, terrain changes are one of the most effective things Jagex can do.
  22. 230 days over 8 years. How do you work out the hours played per day?
