  1. *waits for somebody to blame Jagex even though it is not their fault* Wow, just when you think Jagex can't get any worse they fake login server issues to delay a game update! Nobody cares about the American population of the game, update now!!!!! We pay we say!!!!!!! /Sarcasm
  2. I will give it to you, it looks more like a scimitar. But even then, why not just axe one of the spikes on the current design and angle the blade more without going through the fuss of a poll? I'm not criticizing your decision...I guess that I have more of an issue with people buying into this idea. Should've presented that idea more clearly and for that I apologize. There are other things, better things, that could use attention, let alone getting into other graphic content! I guess you would call it bitterness, but I call this impracticality and lip-service to give the illusion of desiring feedback. Really, this seems to me more like a "Okay, this time we're getting your opinions on it so we can blame you if it still looks like crap." Oh, don't get me wrong, I see this poll as being as pointless as you do, but if theres a chance to make a weapon that looks like a red turd get a makeoever I may aswell put a vote in regardless of how much I use it myself. I also agree that that there are many more items that desperately need makeovers more than the scimitar (the ones mentioned in my OP for example). The poll does have a slight hint of "Let's make a guarunteed poll for the Dragon Scimitar makeover for the players so we can make it look like their input matters" sort of thing, but that might just be me being sceptical.

I just said that you don't need to no life in WoW... your comprehension is that of a 12 year old. Maybe spend less time grinding Runescape and spend more time reading books? I got 80 in 2 months of playing 2 hours a day. Getting to 80 is the easiest part of the game for people who are used to playing real MMO's. Please define to me what a 'Real MMO' is. Opinions do not magically become fact, hence, what you describe as a 'real MMO' might not be perceived to be the same as someone elses. Yes, Runescape requires an obscene amount of incessant clicking, everyone who logs into the game knows this. I fail to see your point with this, Runescape is a casual MMO if placed in the context of other MMO's. Anyone who compares WoW to RS does not know how to form any kind of credible argument. Comparing the two is like comparing a First-Person Shooter to a Third-Person one. Yes, they are part of the same category and genre of games but in no way shape or form does that make them automatically comparable down to the last pixel. In the end, I'm just wasting my time writing this reply as it's blindingly obvious how massively biased you are towards this topic and clearly, anyone who disagrees with you is the one that's wrong.
  4. So 4 more spikes and a different coloured hilt are a dealbreaker then? I seriously don't see a significant difference between the two. And again, remember how tiny these will be when they're on your actual screen. Does it really make much of a difference? o_O Don't be so narrowminded. I didn't chose B because of the OMG MOAR SPIKES attribute. The current scimitar we have now looks way too blunt to be a scimitar. I didn't even take notice of the different hilt it had, I chose it because its shape is closest to that of an actual scimitar. Either way, the last time I actually used a Dscim was quite a long time ago so whatever option gets chosen in the end is going to have little to no effect on me.
  5. Just Voted. I have to say, hiding the results is an incredibly petty thing to do in my opinion. Anyway, I opted for choice B, the reason being, neither option A or C actually look like Scimitars (especially C which looks awful) and option D just looks like a recoloured ordinary Scimitar. B actually looks pretty close to what I thought it should have looked like in the first place. Having the original version up there just purely shows how terrible it looks. On another note, if they are going through all this trouble to update the scimitar why aren't the battleaxe or mace getting updated? They both look pretty plain and outdated now.
  6. I don't get why advertising makes someone desperate for money. This. The way people are posting on this forum anyone would think that advertising was some great crime against humanity. So what if Jagex advertise Runescape on a dam iPhone app. This may come as a massive shock to some people, but a business (excluding non-profit organisations, obviously) is supposed to make money. Here comes the big shocker...Jagex is a business! *GASP*.
  7. Thats pretty much all I see when I read your posts. I have only played WoW for like an hour so I can't really comment on its endgame. But in that hour I experienced its pretty bland art style and uninspired quest system. I simply don't understand when people bash Runescapes graphics yet say WoW's are awesome. WoW's graphics are a lot better than RS graphics, especially when you get the later expansion packs such as Lich King. I never said Rs graphics were better than WoW so I don't know why you felt the need to say that. Clearly WoW's graphics are better than Runescape's but thats not saying a whole lot now is it?
  8. The only other MMO I have ever played on a regular basis is PSO/PSU but those are console MMO's so slightly different. Probably my favourite simply because of the 100% real-time combat. As for why I play Runescape, I think its a large combination of things that keep me playing. It's interesting that a lot of people stick around for the PvP which I hardly ever really participate in. I think its the cheap price and variety in gameplay that just makes it unique to other MMO's.
  9. I lol'd. Chose to defend Prof. Oddenstein and that was the reward. I do the cases for fun, but seriously, is there even a point to this reward?
  10. My first screenshot here, thought I'd wait until I had something worthwhile to post before I posted. Anyway, first duo arma hilt! P.S - I realise the text is stupidly hard to read, and the cropping fails.
  11. You might want to check quickchat. One of the items is called 'Investigator's Coat' so I would wait until the final part before asking that question.
  12. Does anyone know what world is a skilling Stealing Creation world?
  13. This was posted on his discussion thread for the DevBlog. I think we can rule out healsplats now.
  14. No, it's not. On the subject of that cape found in the cache, I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be one of the new rewards released next week. Back when they had the Live Q&A for Dung one of the mods stated that wearable capes within daemonheim wouldn't be possible because of how the armours in there are made. If it is, it will be interesting to see what kind of spcial effect/stats it has.
  15. Get another pocket tool and use it on the workbench that has a broken hook on it then combine the two.
  16. So . . . you're a leecher. If you are this type of player you shouldn't even be rushing (and even arguably Dungeoneering) in the first place. If AFK'ing is your thing do yourself and people that actually want to rush a favour and stick to fletching and cooking, kthxbai. On another note, to whoever made the note about the unlocking of doors, I couldn't agree more. More often that not I nominate myself as the key-guy as I know I can do it fast and efficiently and it really [bleep]s me off when I unlock a door and two people rush to it to open it before me. I've confronted so many people about it and the best reply they can muster is, "lol, why not?".
  17. If I start up a group and some guy just sits in the base high alching his dam arrows I will imeedietely nominate to kick him, it irratates me to no end when people do that.
  18. Once Dung Batch 1.75 (lol) is released, experience rates are going to increase a fair bit so people are going to reach it a lot faster than you expect.
  19. I know this has probably been answered already somewhere on this thread but im going to ask it again. For someone who has almost got 200k tokens to spend and is either getting CLR or CLS solely for bosshunting (is max melee, has extremes and won't be using it to train slayer) which will mostly be TD's which one is generally considered to be the better choice?
  20. This doesn't look suspicious at all!
  21. Im not dissapointed at all, In fact, the content and structure of the update is almost exactly how I expected it to be. You have to be reasonable and realise, like a lot of others have said, that this update wasn't going to give you some super expensive rare trail item every time. I also really can't understand why people were expecting super uber game breaking items of doom, these are [bleep]ing trail rewards not drops from a boss monster. I really like how they updated the trails, sure, a lot of the rewards are just reskins of existing rewards but they are all things that players have wanted for a long time. The only thing that sucks is the fact that lvl 4 clues don't drop from TD's >=(
  22. ^There are two new themes confirmed that take the floors up to 60. However, with this update we only get the Occult floors which go up to floor 47. So it seems they've split the one update into two. Edit: beaten to it.
