I don't get it either. People always [bleep] and moan that the quest cape needs higher skill reqs then when we get them everyone rages. I mean honestly, did anyone REALLY think that we were going to get quests with 90+ Runecrafting or Slayer requirements? Firemaking may be a piss poor excuse for a skill but it's also one of the fastest and easiest ones to level.

The standard of Runescapes graphics I would say, is pretty dam high. There isn't a single MMO out there on any platform that has the highest end graphics possible (with maybe the exception of FFXIV, and we all know how successful that is.) Regardless though, I've never played WoW but I have seen plenty of in game footage and I don't see what all the fuss is about. The textures in it seem pretty rough and undefined. People always used to spout that same line about how "Nobody plays Runescape for it's graphics." To be honest I think it has one of the most unique art styles of any game and the improvements they have made this year show how skilled they are in utilising Java.

What? Jagex is an English company. Considering Christianity is the prevalent and most practiced religion here I really don't see why Christmas should be referred to as 'the holidays'. If anything, saying that they should change it to that could just as easily be seen as disrespectful.

Anyone gotten any of the Factory outfit yet? Wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like before I commit to getting it.

Any idea what your shards:boots ratio is? I'm at 54 shards w/o any boots :\ I'm currently on 162 shards and no boots. Count yourself lucky.

Although I seriously doubt they will, I hope they graphically update the Rouges outfit. Right now it actually looks worse than the default avatar clothes.

The small mound that separated Edgeville and the Monastary has been removed, it's now just flat ground.

This is probably futile but does anyone know a general drop rate for the boots? Rswiki doesn't seem to have any info and people estimated seem to vary pretty wildly. I've almost made two Armadyl staffs without seeing a single boots drop so I've easily killed in excess of 1k of them.

Nope. To get a T3 aura that has weaker versions you have to buy the T1 and T2 auras first.

There's only one tier 4 aura and it costs 84k. It does sound really quite good, although the duration period drfinately needs to be increased imo. Quite interested in the dark magic aura aswell. Could be quite useful for Glacors if the corruption damage hits through the glacytes.

Pretty unimpressed by the wings. Expected them to at least move in some way when you were standing still but they're just static. Not to mention that you have to buy the tier 1 version of an aura to get the higher grade of it. Might just save up for the Aegis aura.

There's still the Rouge's Den, the Christmas event and the 12 Days of Christmas loyalty bonuses. Don't forget the Wilderness graphics update.

True but remember the intention of Jagex was to make this a place where players with high level slayer could make good money. Depends a bt on the nerve of the armour next week if that will remain the case... You can't just say that it was Jagex's intention. I think they wanted to make magic viable in slayer and pvm in general, which they did by a) introducing magic-weak monsters and b) introducing cheap powerful spells. The FAQ does actually say that they wanted to reward high level slayers with a profitable drop that wasn't devalued.

Considering that spores and flakes will always be needed for repairs and the armour and weapon aren't a one off drop then the price should stabilise at a relatively acceptable price imo. Let's not forget that not everyone who can wear the armour or use the staff has 95 Slayer.

At the moment it degrades way too fast to be worth using outside of bossing or duelling/pvp. The changes next week will make it more economical to use.

But I guess since you sound like you're for this change in stats that doesn't really matter. I'm not for or against the change, if anything I'm largely indifferent to whatever changes they decide to make. I said people over-exaggerate because it's not even a real nerf. The only stat being reduced is the slash defence, and in return for that reduction the armour lasts longer. Sounds like a fair compromise to me.

How much is the set now? it's dropping pretty fast. Top is around 6m, legs 1.5-2m, hat 500k-1m.

Thought I'd make a set as I have flakes coming out of my ears right now. It does look pretty sweet but not much point using it until the changes next week.

Why do you care? I thought you were quitting if they implemented the high score removals. Won't matter to you now eh? Yes i am quiting but i do care about how the people who still play will be penialized for literally everything unless they pay. I refuse to pay and play a game that went from such a great game to a load of trash so quickly and care almost nothing about the community. I find your post + your forum name to be quite ironic.
