200M in all Skills
I assumed Telmomarques was going all out on slayer until 200M, but it may do him some good to break it up. I did quite a bit of slaying today and caught him in my spot on several tasks. Didn't get a chance to talk to him, but found it interesting that on his ice strykwyrm task he just meleed with his standard gear. I'm fine with doing something the way you want, just surprised me that he wasn't using the most "efficient" way possible.

Gravestones
Yesterday at frosts, somehow, for reasons which I cannot explain, Shockwave unexpectedly quit on me, causing runescape to freeze and crash. Before I realized that wasn't the problem I wasn't too worried because usually when I lag, RS logs me out even if I'm in combat. When I realized that reloading RS several times wasn't working, and that "updating" Shockwave didn't do a damn thing, I force restart my computer, and after taking longer than usual to restart, I manage to get back to the login page. I log in... standing in soul wars. Check my inventory and notice my top, bottom, and fury, and no rapier. I frantically begin running back to my spot with 1:30 left on the grave, and am at 10 seconds when im getting near the hobgoblins. Somehow by a miracle I then notice it get boosted to 1 hour and run in to see someone killing frosts on the other side, and after finding out he was who blessed, I thanked him and gave him 40 frost bones. He said he was about to hop after seeing my cannon, but noticed a grave in the distance so went to bless it. I dwelled on that simple thought that one person can make a world of difference for another person in terms of time spent for their items. I never really thought that my grave would ever be put to the test in terms of being blessed by someone, but it was, and I am extremely thankful that they took the time to do so. My experience made me think, I wonder what criteria other players base a possible blessing on? Do you bless all graves, none, or does it just depend? Also, has your grave ever been blessed or served a purpose in terms of you saving lots of time and money yet?

Fast and Efficient Mage Training
Do a combination of string jewelry and hunter kit, it's much faster than just string jewelry alone. Basically you cast hunter kit for an extra 70 mage xp between each string jewelry cast, and it doesn't take any longer. In short you have astrals, 13 unstrung ammys (gold are fine), and 14 open spaces. Cast string ammy, then hunter kit, then with your xp counter open, time it so that everytime you see the 87 xp drop down, hit hunter kit. Doing this method yields you far more xp/hr. "CrystalFarm" on youtube has a much more details vid/description about it.

Is it time to raise the level caps?
I guarantee that it wont, because Jagex is a business and making 120 the new cap for skills would reduce the amount of traffic that rs receives from its current mamber base and would decrease the influx of new members. Take a look at my post on second page before you make any arguments towards me as thats were my main statement is. You handled your argument on page 2 well, that was until you acted 12 and bashed someone's opinion with the pathetic "You ever been outside?" comment. I don't understand why people like you can't just realize that people play the game differently. Nobody gives a damn if you go to school, workout, play sports, watch TV, or do a plethora of other things than RS. The fact is that you need to get over the fact people play differently than you, period. As to the point: You said raising to 120 would mean a middle finger to practically everyone. Raising skills to 120 does not take a bit of content away from anybody who has already earned it. Earned 99 magic? Cool. Don't have 120 magic for the all the new spells? Then I suggest either you get 120 magic or don't complain about only having 99. Increasing skills to 120 only increases total level. Guess what else increases total level? Adding a new skill. I can't recall anyone quitting over a new skill, and it sure doesn't seem like a middle finger to people who already maxed total to me. I like your mention of .01% of players who have actually maxed total. That number is going to change over time. I would say that the % be better represented in the fact that .01% of ragers who threaten to quit over every single update nowadays, actually do. Jagex has a geneous way of sucking people into an addicting game and managing to keep them playing and coming back from more, after all they're a business, that's their job. If it gets to the point where top players are bored by the content, then there's no reason that Jagex would not implement the additional levels into the game. 99 in a skill today is easy enough if you put enough time into it and play efficiently, and it's hard to argue that efficiency is important to those who are actually making an effort to train a skill past 99. In summary, what I've said above is all based off of my opinion and that fact that I can't take what Jagex says seriously anymore. Wild/FT will not not ever return = Wild/FT returned. Free membership if you help teach noobs = JK roflolmfaomg There's no plan of increasing skills to 120 = ...Really?

Is it time to raise the level caps?
Too many people freak out over the thought of a lvl 120 skill. I will say that it is most definitely not the time yet to implement this addition into the game, but I can almost guarentee that it will happen in the future. When you started playing Runescape and realized, "wow this skill goes to 99, that's going to take forever!", did you really think you were going to be getting 13M xp in each skill by mining and smithing bronze bars? Exponential skill xp required to reach each level is accompanied by an increased training opportunity that offers faster xp. I think a lot of people don't realize that, and end up thinking "omg this is going to take forever in LRC gold mining or doing addy plates or whatever. I'd even be willing to bet that the time it takes to go from 99-120 in a skill is faster than the time it took to go from 1-99 in a skill back in the day. Skills keep getting easier, so I doubt it's going to be that big of a deal. My only wish is that once the it's announced, that at least a majority of the content is untradable. I like the way they did that with herblore, they need to continue to do that with other skills.

Is it time to raise the level caps?
I agree on your last sentence about more WELL-DEVELOPED at that, high level content being added to most skills. However it seems like too many players including yourself can't realize that "your idea of a life/time well spent =/= the life/time of others" So what if people want to spend a lot of time playing an online game? I hate basketball, but I don't think that those who play it are wasting their time/lives, they're just doing what they want. And I'm also sure that the people who have/are/will go for 104M or 200M in skills are going to be training it and know how to do it a hell of a lot more efficienctly than you are, so for you to say it's going to take a CRAZY amount of time isn't necessarily true. They made DG quicker after level 99, and I know they would too for the rest of the skills. My point is that chances are you'll still be playing this game by the time level extensions roll around, and you'll play until tons of people reach those max levels. A bit ironic to me. Apologies for the double post.

Is it time to raise the level caps?
Your last sentence contradicts yourself dude. It seems some people have already "wasted" 10 years on this game in the first place, and still have time to "waste". The only thing that keeps players playing is the fact that this game takes a ton of time to be considered "beaten", and just when you think you have, BAM, more content. If Jagex gets to the point where they realize that people are becoming bored and that too many people finishing up all of the skill content, why not require another 90M xp in each skill? Seems obvious it's going to happen.

the reboosting tick. So... is there a time gap in which you're supposed to reboost or what?

Overloads
What is "the tick" he's talking about? I thought ovls were just as simple as a dose of every extreme and every 1 minute you went down a lvl (5 mins later you're at lvl 120 everything and it tells you the effects wore off).

[dev blog] Capes of Distinction
What if it's just for the 99, an achievement independent of the cape? i know a lot of pures get 99 cook/fletch capes early on because they have decent bonuses for pures. I don't see anything wrong in training a skill just for the 99. It's no different than 200M'ers grinding the skill for 200M... it all has to do with goals.

End of an Era... probably...
Someone stated how you can cancel & renew your membership on DXPW for a fresh 2.7x once you have used up your good multipliers, and that the same trick worked in Sept. 2010 too. So technically you could purchase 2.7x all weekend if you were rich enough, although I can't fathom it as it seems pathetic and impractical.

End of an Era... probably...
I never heard of him until I opened this thread. I have also never heard of Zarfot or Themurder until I read yours and a few other posts in this thread, and now only know of a name, not what they are known for. There are some people who play the game for fun, and don't pay attention to what other people are doing. Most of his reasons are definitely legitimate, no doubt, and most of the people that you are targeting with your post didn't say otherwise, they were just stating that the fact that he is quitting doesn't have as great of an impact that the OP and a few others are implying. As for jealousy? When I was 15, I only spent a couple hours a day on weekdays playing games (mostly runescape), because that was all I could do with my free time those days. For him to be maxed at that age either means he spends little to no free time away from his computer, or bots, neither of which should make anyone jealous. This a thousand times over. The thread's only discussion point is the question "when will Jagex cross the line for you". That's all he needed to ask. He didn't need to tack on some pointless mush fawning over his opinion of how 4w50m3 this guy is, with the way the author approached the main subject. It's also unlikely that Jagex will ever cross the line with people as far as some in this thread as postulated (for example, allowing people to real world trade) because they are a company looking to satisfy the majority, and the majority does not wish to engage in activities that I would presume lessen the value of their gameplay. So the thread is asking people to imagine what hamfisted move Jagex will commit to get them to quit. And even if those people quit their memberships, a few more will take their place. Meaning that whatever value the author attempted to assign to the thread is lost, because for one, woox16 quitting has far less of an impact than the author hilariously tries to imply, and two, Jagex doesn't care if they lose a few members over a trivial update because the scope of what could be lost to Jagex is marginalized because they are looking to profit. The thread asks people to answer a question assuming that the update in question is negative, which is of course subjective because it applies on an individual basis. Many more people could see an update as positive and be compelled to keep playing or join or upgrade to a membership because again, Jagex looks to satisfy the majority. Obviously at times they have to compromise between satisfaction and necessity to keep the game running (the December '07 updates, for example) which would cause an undesirable loss of players, but in the long run, their move satisfies players enough that they keep up a good profit. What's to say an update is so bad that a player (or group of players) will quit forever? It's unlikely. And even if they do, Jagex will hook more to start playing or paying than the amount that quit playing or paying in their place. That's all. Well worded, but try hitting enter every once in a while. No offense. @Plasma, Jagex has already reached that point.

I'm surprised so many people still play without the game set to filter... lol

End of an Era... probably...
Yep. This topic is 99% ragefest, but I don't see how OP didn't see it coming. And since when do you use "probably" to display something as sarcastic or for someone to take something with a grain of salt? Guy1: Hey man you still going to Nex tonight? Guy2: Probably Guy1: Omg you always bail on us wtf... Doesn't work. "End of an Era... Right..." would have conveyed your sarcastic point better, but still left little room for discussion.

200M in all Skills
Paperbag I really hope you're joking man. What happened suddenly that turned your attitude 180 degrees? Several pages back you were 100% optimistic about your Runescape goals and everything seemed fine. Then your post today has thrown everyone for a loop as to what's going on. By all means please don't end your life over it, life gets better, I promise. Please talk to the people here about what's going on if you think it might help. We're a community, and although we don't know you in real life, we still care for you. Thank you sawcats for your generosity.

I hate finding out who the man behind the mask, or in this case, keyboard & mouse is. Ruins everything. Having said that, hearing that Woox16 is apparently some 14 year old brat who's being overdramatic about quitting a game makes me care even less. Cya back again soon, lookin like foo wicha vid on the tube.

Game Update FAQ - 15/03/11
One ring to rule them all, one ring to rage them. Riot W66 wilderness volcano to cast The Precious into the flames of hell! I don't understand why the ring is that big of a deal. Either you wear it or you don't. If you don't, then don't complain about not getting drops as often. And now there's 200+ rings in runescape?

Your take on DIY?
I just started my first major DIY a couple days ago. I'm finally getting 95 prayer but don't have the bank to afford 12k frost bones, so I'm just killing 12k myself. Would be pointless obviously to kill frosts till I can afford frosts lol, so DIY was about the only reasonable option. I don't do much boss hunting. I'd rather stick to something that is guarenteed profit/hr.

End of an Era... probably...
Who are Bluerose13x and Larryr? Bluerose13x was first to 99 smith. Made good money from it supplying good armor. Larryr got 157M xp in runecrafting by doing the unthinkable: crafting runes.

Were large amounts of torstol (seed&herb) only part of the glitch or are they still possibly loot?

He should let his subscribers vote for themselves and others either yes or yes on whether they want him to stay. Seems logical enough.
