  1. I enjoyed his videos and he did have pretty amazing accomplishments, but as previous poster said, he is (was) just another runescaper. I'll quit when playing Runescape isn't a feasable way to spend my time later in life. Simple as that.
  2. row

I'll probably just wear row all the time now just for fun. I want to see how often it actually works for me, plus I wanna see what new items got added to each monster (ex. dragon daggers to abby demons)
  3. Don't force-train to 99. Just do something like slayer to 99 over the course of a good deal of time, because it atleast gives some variety than just camping something boring for hours on end. 99 slayer easily brings in 99 melees, hp, and possibly range + summoning depending on your slay style. Whatever you do, switch it up so that you don't burn yourself out.
  4. Have you done the smoking kills quest? If so, abberant spectres in the dungeon you unlock are in multicombat. Even while using cannon you still profit from herb drops, and they're pretty good charms also. A cheap magic carpet to Nardah also makes banking pretty quick. (If you want faster banking you can bring dueling ring for castle wars telly, and move your house to Polly). Leave your cannon running while you're gone and it makes it that much faster.
  5. I heard someone earlier mention a new skill (WIP) on the HLF. Have they given any hints as to what it is or not? If they really are going to release another skill, then what's the point of calling Dungeoneering the "endgame" skill, unless I'm just interpreting "endgame" wrong. Also, I wonder if/how Jagex will implement future skills into dungeoneering, seeing as by then a large majority of players may be done with the skill and not even use the new dungeoneering content. On second thought, Jagex already has unpopular/unused content for almost every skill, so I guess it wouldn't make a difference.
  6. During this weekend, every second you're on you receive bonus xp, but the bonus rate also dwindles down, slowly to 1.1x normal xp. It starts out at 2.7x normal xp, so if you do something that gives 100 xp you get 270 xp instead for 30 minutes until it goes down to 2.5x normal xp. May not be very useful if you didn't know what it was or didn't plan, but a lot of people begin planning once Jagex announces it. You can saves many many hours of millions of dollars. This is the 3rd one, they do them about every 6 months.
  7. I noticed that the special scroll ability says "temporary +7 magic boost". Does this mean that I can cast ice barrage/fire surge/spell book swap now that I'm 90 mage? (granted i get 92 summ ofc)
  8. They don't have a mage attack. You could pray melee or ranged, but if you have soul split it's unnecessary. Use a rapier. EDIT: You don't have soul split. Right. You'll have to bring food and an EEE. I would say forgo the yak and just use a unicorn. Alright thank you. Lol @ my prayer. It's been a rather neglected skill of mine despite 134 combat. I'll get around to it one of these days.
  9. If you're planning on using your bandos in the future a lot, I'd just hold onto it. I bought my bandos a few weeks ago for about the same price, along with my fury for 16.6, but still look at it as an investment rather than loss. Maybe it's just me, but I always have bad luck when I try to buy/sell to make a buck off of a panicing market. However if you were to invest 10M I would buy some 4 dose sara brews or something similar. Some people are trying to dump them cheap, so you could easily snag some up for 4-5k a peice.
  10. Suppose I'll invest in a whip then for slashing, unless the rapier's slash option is better which I doubt. I already have bandos, so does praying mage while wearing that cover all my bases or is there still a small need for healing?
  11. Just depends on preference. I did steels and irons for a while at your level then got upset from seeing max melee's hitting 600+ on dragons with a gray stick while I was lucky to pop off a 300 with my lbs and super set. So after blocking them for a while, then finally getting 85 DG, they are now my favorite task. I would at least suggest a stab weapon over whip or korasi slashing (spec is still handy). 85-88 herb would be a wise investment also, if you can afford it that is.
  12. I currently have these blocked, but seeing as I no longer care about trying to bank their bones, would it be reasonable to unblock them if I camped them in 1 trip? I'm maxed melee with extremes, rapier, and I use cannon. My only question is what gear to bring and what attack style to use. Do super antifires work in place of the required elemental shield/dragonfire shield? How many do you think I could kill in a trip? I'm 90 summoning now, but will get 96 for yak before I head down there. Just wanted to figure this out before I start my hardcore slaying to 99. Trying to get a permanent slaying list made up. Thanks!
  13. If your budget permits, (In order of importance): Swap our your monks for shark, they're cheap. Swap out your power ammy for a glory. Swap our your boots for dragon (rune if you can't afford). Not saying that you'll necessarily need them, but better to be safe than sorry. I know I did that fight when I was much higher levelled than you, so just trying to think of what I would do in your case.
  14. I would try to go with a dragon defender and korasi sword before going to just sara sword and giving up your shield slot. If not then either go with d scimmy + ddef (my preference), or ss.
  15. Cannon abberant spectres in the Pollnivneach dungeon (given that you've completed smoking kills). Just wear a good prayer bonus and take a few prayer pots and a BoB and you profit even with using cannon. Plus it's faster range xp than just killing monsters one at a time.

    Huh?
  17. I would look into maybe boosting starting at 87 herblore (1 greenman ale would be good enough if you do the log off method, a mature greenman ale would let you start at 86 herb). If you want to make some extremes while you still can w/ extra xp. Sure, they would be a loss seeing as you couldn't sell, but it would give you faster xp/hr than just super def after you've finished your super antifires. Plus it's a good investment for ovls in the future.
  18. I did slayer for a while with just prossy/whip/glory ammy. Finally decided to get 85 dung, so got a rapier. Used frosts dragons to purchase 88 herblore, fury, tassets, and bcp after a week, plus about 16M in mage equipment. I would highly suggest just roughin it out and getting rapier, exts, bandos, and all that jazz before you continue slaying. Seeing as I slayed the exact way you did at your level, I can say that I regret not doing what I did earlier on, because now slayer is soooo much faster. If you're absolutely set on not getting a chaotic or saving to buy everything at once, I would save and get extremes first, then a fury, then tassets, then bcp in the end. If you want to spend a little more you can get a zerker ring also which will speed things up outside of Kuradel's Dungeon. Finally if you can afford to drop a lot of money on SS and Turm, go for that. Go and try to get the SW cape, because it helps a ton. More worth it than fire cape imo.
  19. A skill (a harder one at that) that's content stops at 93 doesn't seem like it should be finished imo. Especially when you're lucky to even make a profit with it.
  20. They need to have several new slayer monsters for high levels, and they need to be new and original. I really don't want to see "Here's the update you've been waiting for!!!! THE LAVA STRYKWYRM!!!! Requires tome of frost and ice gloves in combination with water surge to kill it!" Sounds original huh? They need something that has other high requirements attached such as dungeoneering, and have the monsters lurking deep below the ground kind of like how TDS are. The monsters need to require skill to kill, rather than just a pair of claws with ovl/turm/blah blah blah. They need to be similar to the way you fight Nex, where there may be several different stages, or atleast methods you have to use, so that they can better implement the combat triangle. The monsters need to be campable. As long as they make these monsters atleast somewhat difficult, it wouldn't be too much of a problem seeing as people would need to eventually bank after killing a certain amount. I co-op/clan slayer option incorporated with a new master would be nice to see also. Could spice things up with some new boss monsters that all have a slayer requirement to kill so you're not always being crashed as much. That's just my opinion. Slayer is my favorite skill, and it just seems that lately it's not living up to it's name. I can't think of any task right now that begins to pose any threat at all. The thought of "slaying" something seems like it should at least be some sort of a challenge.
  21. Which counts as a second in an ovl? Torstol, I think.
  22. I would atleast keep the irit, cadantine, and kwuarm for super sets to make yourself over the weekend. Sell the tarromin (can't believe they're that much), and any other herbs you want. Keep the lantadyme, avantoe, and dwarf weed for future extremes if you want, if not, just sell for some extra cash. Your call on the ranarrs, but if you're going make them over DXPW, make them after your super sets ofc. You could probably make all of your super sets within an hr, so put those herbs into the herblore planner under Skill Planners and multiply your total xp gained by about 2.6 and figure out where that would land you.
  23. Haven't done that myself for money, but another good method is unf pots if you have unlocked the scroll of cleansing. You save herbs when making unf pots and ingredients when making actual pots, so if you decided to make lantadyme unfs you would basically be getting free lantadyme herbs fast. I did this with 4k pots and it took just under an hour and a half. I had ~500 herbs left over, and was able to sell them for about 3.5M Only downside is you have to have 20k dung tokens to buy the scroll.
