  1. Being f2p your options are rather limited. Are the yew trees behind lumby castle flooded with other players/bots on f2p worlds? I know p2p is dead quiet back there but dunno about f2p. Also depends on what the price of logs are. Unskill related you could just try your hand at merching rune armor/weps between edgeville pking worlds and other worlds for a profit. Other than that I'm not entirely sure.
  2. lol. gtfo. sw cape saves you like 20k/hr on p pots fire cape is always the best for slayer. ALWAYS I did 85-95 slayer w/ only proselyte and sw cape. Seeing as I farmed my own ranarr in between tasks, cost wasn't an issue. I just found that being able to stay at a task of 250 abbys or dark beasts was more convenient than possibly hitting a little higher with fire cape seeing as I piety every task. You're able to do every task in bandos/fc with constant turmoil/piety and not have to bank. unless you suck of course You're 84 slayer. gf.
  3. I'm not sure of your stats, but assuming you have atleast 100-200k for a weapon and armor, go kill blue dragons in tavelry. That's what I've done each time I start back up poor. Hell, 2 blue dragons are worth more than a whole inventory of shark and take way less time to kill. If you're looking to fishing as a startup money maker, you need to look elsewhere.

  5. Alright thank you for clearing that up for me. Hopefully the tables can't be turned on participants of the "double money" scam in terms of being reported if they actually make money.
  6. It's just give and take. Sometimes you lose 100k or so or sometimes you make it. Tbh I don't see how "doubling money" is reportable, but "trust game" is not. Where does flower game fall on that list? imo that should be more reportable then either of the other two, seeing as other people can actually see whether or not the guy scams the bidder.
  7. A scam plain and simple. If you're a good people person though, you can usually play it off you're some noob and that you're amazed each time he's able to double it, signifying that you're most definately going to give more money after each trade (start off with like 5-10k and walk away after he's doubled 50k tops). Then just up and stop once you've got a fair amount. I've made a couple of mil off this by acting like I have no idea how this game works so that they can "take advantage of me", then walk away with sevearl hundred K lol. Always remember though that this is a scam though and you CAN and most likely WILL lose money at a certain point if you're not careful.
  8. Join a clan that generalizes in just doing a little of everything. Like a previous poster said, it makes things a little more fun when you are competing (whether it be friendly or serious) to gain a certain lvl or item or w/e. Clans are good for this. If you're going to be doing slayer you should go for a chaotic weapon early on. I waited until 134 combat/95 slayer to start dunging and get my rapier, because I thought it would take months of dunging, but only took me 2 weeks from 55 dung to 85. Again though if you despise dung like some then don't bother. I know I at least felt that way until I tried it seriously and it actually became pretty fun; you'll be glad you got a chaotic. Mix that wiith some herb runs and a few other rs chores like bstaves and MTK and you've got a mix of sanity from not grinding and profit to help out when slayer hits a dry streak :D
  9. Only healers that either haven't been distracted yet or are attacking you can heal Jad. You need to safespot them against each other so only one or two can attack you. It's not hard, just run sideways when you have them all on you and they'll line up. Then it's really easy to just out-dps them. If I was to kill 3 of the 4 healers and left 1 to attack me, would I just have to out dps 1 healer or would they respawn? If they respawn, is there a time limit in which they'll respawn or is it according to Jad's health again? Finally, if I choose to melee (Claws, rapier w/ exts), how do you go about praying on that? Is it melee nonstop then change to range/mage when applicable? How much more risk of death does melee carry? Sorry about all the questions, it's just that all this talk has me wanting to try again for a fire cape <_<
  10. Thanks. Yeah looking back I somewhat regret buying that now, seeing as I didn't have the points until 95 slayer anyway... and I'm almost 96 slayer and just got my first task of them. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. I can get to and pray against jad no problem whatsoever, but now that healers heal him seemingly regardless of how you take care of them, I can't keep up with their healing and just rage-die against jad. I use SW cape on every other task anyway, but still kinda frustrated that I can't get cape.
  11. Does bringing a fire cape on an ice strykwyrm task increase the damage of your spells by only 40 like I've heard or is it more? I don't have a fire cape and spent 2k pts to unlock them, and after trying fire wave them (not 95 mage) with mystic (welfare gear, never maged before), I packed up and left after seeing others hitting 900+ damage consistently. After I buy my mage book in a few days, I'll have a decent outfit with sol, ahrims, arc stream, mage book, seers ring ect. Will that outfit + fire surge hit pretty high? I really don't want to be bothered for several more hours on end dying to Jad, seeing as I already spent the pts to unlock. I'm 88 herblore so I could also boost to ext. magic seeing as it's a fair damage increase, or bring wolpertinger along if that helps. Thanks.
  12. Looks like I'll be gathering supplies old school. Seeing as frosts are my main source of income, do you think bones will go up or down?
  13. I need to do 73k string jewelry casts for 95 mage. Does anyone happen to know the loss per ammy (including runes), or the average cost per xp to help me better figure how much this'll cost? Also, does doing string ammy + hunter kit cost more or less?
  14. Alright thank you. For some reason I thought that the marrentills continued to burn for x amount of time, meaning that you may get 1.5 trips done before they go away. This would make prayer very annoying.
  15. I'm going for 95 prayer and need to know what are the maximum number of bones/hr you can use on a gilded altar. I will be using tort to hold extra bones, and duel ring for cw banking. A few questions: Does it still work to make "take from bob" the left click option and use quickly while offering bones? How long do marrentills last while being burnt at the altar? I will be operating at near-perfect efficiency while training prayer. If I begin to become burnt out, I'll switch over to something else rather than cripple pray xp/hr.
  16. I literally just trained 85-88 herblore last weekend with super antifires... worst decision ever. I had previously made a few super antis with stew/greenman in the past (~100) and was like eh thousands of feathers wont be bad. 4 hours later after nonstop feather picking I was able to start herblore. Sad part is that I can do frosts for 3.5M/hr, so I was shooting myself in the foot by making those. Oh well... I have my extremes now with over 2k super antifire (4)s lol. will last me the rest of my life.
  17. Saying "L" instead of "lol". Yes, two extra characters are hard to type. Kids who need to be in school learning to spell instead of playing rs (if they're not "kids", then Dear God...)
  18. I usually rushed 1-29 on c1 small with atleast 1 or 2 other people. More than that may help, but really isn't necessary. Having atleast 1 or 2 other people makes it so you can telly to the leader if you have a key, and finish gd's and boss faster. But yes, floors 30+ (or even starting higher for some), are when the xp is considered decent enough to do a large. Anything lower than that is most often a waste of time.
  19. I've got 55 effigies banked and the only thing I can open right now is 91 cooking lol... With those prices for assists I'll definately just train the skills to open them myself. Maybe you should try that
  20. You can do floors in any order. A little bit of advice though, if you manage to unlock a new floor after you've already done your max floor that reset, then you need to go back and rush your highest floor again to "unlock" your new floor. Example: You're 35 dung, so you can go to F17. After resetting, you do F17, 16, 15, ect. By the end of the run, you're 39 dung. According to your ring, you've done all your floors, but that's because you have't "unlocked" F18 & F19 yet by completing them. So be sure to keep an eye out to make sure you did all possible floors before resetting.
  21. Without at least 85 slayer, don't expect to turn large profits. Even with 96 slayer, I barely turn a profit slaying now, it all has to do with slaying style I suppose. Seeing as I'm constantly ext. potted and using piety and cannoning, it tends to cost more for me. This is just because after having reached frosts, I value my time at about 3.5M/hr, so it would be more beneficial for me to powerslay than decrease costs to turn greater profits. Obviously if you can't do frosts, your value for time may be lower, like it was for me before. Some advice I would give is to base your task choice off of either money or xp (use both). Obviously, your idea of what good money is may differ, so do it based on what you want/hr. Also, save your slay points to skip tasks, so that you can move on to faster tasks/better moneymakers instead of wasting time at say, warped torts or strykwyrms (personal opinion). That's all I would suggest. Try to get good money on your tasks, but at the same time, try to spend slay points skipping slow xp and money tasks so that you can reach 85,90,93 slayer faster. Later on you may want to begin to use piety/turm, super/ext pots. Combined with a bunyip/unicorn stallion, the xp rolls in much faster, and usually you break even seeing as you're doing more tasks in the same amount of time you did before. Good luck though :D hopefully you'll have better luck than me lol.
  22. I would strongly suggest doing slayer because of the charm drops, but if you're not, I would definately get yak first before extremes for frosts through means of bursting lobs. I spent approx 70M for 88 herb, and kind of wish I would have spent that money to burst lobs and get 96 summoning first. I camp frosts atm with tort, which isn't too bad (170 bones/hr), but you'd be way better off in gp/hr with a yak and no exts than in my current situation. All in all it's a good plan with the farming to decrease the costs ect. Make sure you buy the scroll of life for a measly 10k tokens and the 20k herblore efficiency scroll, together they'll save you millions quickly. Only worry about rapier for the time being. You're better off just killing frosts with 1 chaotic weapon for more money than having 3 chaotics, and using only 1 to kill frosts for less money.
  23. Where would you cannon steels, brim or resource dung? Tbh i would use at black demons, they have a confirmed effigy rate that is rather oustanding (can't think of off the top of my head), but I'm pretty sure you'd get way less kills at steels of course and be wasting lots of cballs. Even if money isn't an issue, I would place your bets on black demons. You're going to kill them 10x faster and get loads more effigies.
  24. It doesn't matter tbh, only reason I suggest that is so that you save an extra inventory space. It's personal preference.
  25. Yeah, then I wouldn't suggest using it. Definately not if you wouldn't use cannon.
