  1. The fact you are not max melee's make LRC a good option since you will get a lot of melee experience there. Also if you do want to do steels, consider training magic on them, it's a decent alternative.
  2. I can give you some figures from my slayer which is basicalyl the same list without Jad & i think i did 2 blue dragon tasks. You can see if any of this info is relevant from my blog [hide] Numbers & Conclusions Final Figures for this task list (over a 3.6M slayer XP sample) Cannonballs/Hr: 1150 Prayer Pots/Hr: 10 Summoning Xp/Hr: 30,700 Slayer Xp/Hr: 37,500 Hours/Effigy: 2:20 Slayer Xp/Effigy: 87,800 Profit/Hr: ~ 300k Powerslaying GP/XP: 8 [/hide] Bear in mind this is not at current prices - this also includes abyssal demons & whips heavily contributed to my profit/loss but the costs should at least be accurate I guess. Without abyssals though I'd expect average cannonball use to go up, Ppots should be linear, it's basically turmoil & protect melee on majority of tasks. This should be revised to around 15, but I was in pros not bandos. As for the worth of a task, I was planning on developing gp/xp figures per individual mob for slayer, but I have no idea if I can still be bothered doing that. Hopefully some of it might be of some use.
  3. Meh haven't updated this in a while lol. Haven't really done a great deal of skilling, basically been dungeoneering & doing various tests for my guide. I plan to raise construction & firemaking on the bonus weekend. 80 -> 94 Construction 86 -> 92 Firemaking After learning more and more about DG & doing so with good players it's become a lot of fun. I imagine after I am done with getting effigy-opening skills, all I will do is DG & Slay.

Let's get this back on topic @OP AGS is still worth buying for it's pwnage. It rly pwns for strength training & it's spec is better than dragon claws cause it hits a bigger number

Yes let's spend 8mil on karils for the same + range bonus as black dhide :twss: Karil's is used for it's magic defence only

News just in - You do NOT need defence for slayer, lol. Even at the worst part of CT waterfiends you can easily survive

I use elite top and bottom for all my mage def req tasks. It's basically black dhide with +8 prayer.
  8. There is no consideration if you are lucky enough to get a HexHunter drop. Idk about blood necklace though.
  9. Ah well, as long as bots keep making Cannonballs and keep their price under 300ea idc tbh.
  10. If you do not key. Then your job is DPS on GD's. Bind a celestial staff w/ your surgebox, you will not need a plate. I would also recommend you use "DG Sweepers" CC as opposed to 117 & 148, especially if you are remotely competent at DG.
  11. Start at Catherby fruit Tree Varrock Tele Lumbridge Tele Falador Tele Cwars > Balloon >Taverly Tree (Or Taverly Tab) Duel Ring > Mobilising Armies > Spirit Tree to Gnome Tree Gnome Tree Fruit > Gnome Tree Tree Duel Ring > Mobilising Armies > Spirit Tree to Gnome Village > Follow out of maze > fruit Tree (Start here or Catherby depending if u are on lunars or not) Brimhaven TeleTab > Brimhaven Fruit Tai Bwo Wannai Scroll > Calquat Lletya Teleport Crystal > Lletya Fruit patch JuJu teleport > Juju fruit Tree Cabbage Port > Spirit Tree Either Catherby or Gnome Village is furthest from a teleport but eh. As for ending up at a bank, checking all of that is nearly 450k xp, so you should expect a random. Ideally you want to get to soul wars which is a one click - no random bank. You could maybe take nightshade or nitro with you and kill yourself after you check the last tree and spawn there lol. Also the order doesn't matter, just where you start might save 5 secs lol
  12. I don't have a problem with his kill-rates as they are accurate, wherever you copied yours from, you didn't copy them properly or divided by the wrong xp. Not criticising, just letting you know mistakes is all. Quotes from his guide[hide] Abyssal Demons With maxed combat stats, a chaotic rapier, overloads or extremes, and turmoil, about 240 kills per hour (36.0k slayer xp) is possible. Black Demons With maxed combat stats, overloads, turmoil, and a chaotic rapier, this method can give over 305 kills (48k slayer experience) Waterfiends With maxed combat stats, overloads, turmoil, a Steel titan, and Saradomin sword (note: chaotic maul may be better), up to 260 waterfiends (33k slayer xp) can be killed per hour. [/hide]
  13. There are a few very wrong kill rates in there, but i'll have a more thorough look after dinner. Abyssal Demons are 240 not 290 though is the standout one. Black Demon 300 Black Dragon 190 Warped tort's seem extraordinarily high based on their respawn timer.
  14. The additional methods & process of training the skill is very good & more suited to the modern, less tedious skill updates. The problem lies in the lack of incentive & rewards. It's all very well having a nicer way to train the skill, but the lack of purpose or reason to do so still remains the problem. This is ultimately why the majority of "skilling" is broken in the modern game. Now everytime they revamp/overhaul/update something, they have an opportunity not only to make these methods less tedious & cost effective, but they also have an opportunity to provide reason & incentive to make use of their new content. This latter part seems to be what Jagex fail at over & over again. Herblore Habitat is an example of where they got it right, (well the process of it, the fact 3?/10 potion rewards are useful is their lack of understanding of the game lol). Pair a Gathering/Grind skill, with a buyable & produce a unique reward that ultimately makes it worth it to level both the gathering skill & the buyable. Now for example; if you have to somehow mine special ore that are used in ingots, that you then used those to smith into items that gave you some form of "reputation" with rewards that gave you improvements to other skills (perhaps not combat). As long as the XP rate is comparable & not hugely imbalanced to the traditional methods, where you can make GP or spend GP for faster XP then there are 2 alternative methods & playstyles that you can use to train for different reasons. Back on the incentive subject or purpose of levelling a skill. Using dungeoneering as a reason is perhaps a last resort - as ALL skills are helpful in DG for doors etc & it seems a bit of a cop out as the skill itself is designed to utilize your levels from all other skills. Effigies - the fact you can have them assisted & only use 1 skill to open them, out of a pairing also makes these not much of an incentive to level them. At least for 50% of the skills.
  15. Yeah nothing to do with an artisan being someone who makes things, lol However since other skills aren't combined or used - Blacksmiths Workshop would be a more appropriate name.
  16. LMAO at the size of cannons. It was annoying enough to see drops underneath it before, now we have an oversized monstrosity with a bigger hitbox to get in the way when clicking around for drops. Nice

However the trouble is, blocking a task doesn't appear to just take that particular task out of consideration. It does seem what you block has a direct impact on how often other tasks are assigned. Things that are consistant: Dark Beasts/Ice Strykes/Abyssals - Always near the top Skeletal Wyverns/Black Dragons/Suqahs - Always near the bottom One example of a blocked task having a significant impact on another: Look at Spiritual Mages in each list, they are at or below the median point for every list, except one. When abyssal demons were blocked their task frequency sky rocketed, however when Abyssals AND Gargoyles were blocked, their frequency went back to being consistent with other block lists. I think there are more variables at work than simply each task having a specific % chance to be assigned. I think that % chance is related to what you block. So unfortunately having nothing blocked and just finding out task frequency with all tasks unlocked still won't give a conclusive answer (Something which I thought would originally). This makes it rather complicated to find the ideal block list. Perhaps someone else can draw some better conclusions from the list but there really needs to be more data available as well & much larger sample sizes.
  18. Yeah I agree, however due to frequency of various tasks it just depends really. Also as for efficiency, my post has absolutely nothing to do with efficiency, they are just factual rates. Just because there are some numbers doesn't necessarily mean it's got anything to do with efficiency. Also discussing slayer & effigy in the context of 200m's is probably the most important aspect considering how much actual % of total XP it contributes on the way to 200m ALL skills. Other individual skills generally don't have as many variables and don't offer much discussion value apart from discovering new ways of combining skills or greater understanding of the game engine to do multiple things at once without any real loss.
  19. Teamed why did you make a new tif account?
  20. List for Slayer using Kuradel Effigy is spent on Slayer @ 99 Below are hourly rates of (Kill rates * Slayer XP) + ( Effigies per hr * Dragonkin Lamp @99) Bloodvelds [111,000] Dagannoths [99,000] Hellhounds [86,000] Aberrant Spectres [85,500] Kalphite** [79,000] Black Demons [78,000] Suqah [77,000] Dark Beasts [73,000] Black Dragons [72,000] Ice Strykewyrm [70,500] Steel Dragons [62,000] TzHaar Jad [60,000] Living Rock Creatures [60,000] Dust Devils [54,000] Nechryael [53,000] Iron Dragons [51,000] Mithril Dragons [50,000] One of these tasks should be done, the others cancelled, if you have other goals as well as slayer xp then that should be the deciding factor, take into account assignment length & travel time **(May be unreliable as haven't personally verified the kill rate yet at Kalphites (Do No Evil room)) Blocked & Cancelled[hide] Blocked Jungle Strykewyrms [?] Desert Strykewyrms [?] Greater Demons [ < 40,000] Gargoyles [47,000] (Blocked due to frequency) Aquanites (Not unlocked) Abyssal Demons [47,000] (Blocked due to frequency) Cancel Spiritual Mages [<30,000] Warped Tortoise [<40,000] Terror Dogs [< 40,000] Skeletal Wyverns [41,000] Waterfiends [46,000] Fire Giants [47,000] Blue Dragons [49,000] TzHaar Normal [Need kill rate of killing the 144/133?] [/hide] Exceptions to consider: Mithril Dragons - the task is short and an infrequent assignment, it can make sense to do these to accumulate more points, to cancel worse tasks in future. Iron Dragons - Not an awful task, it is right next to Kuradel with agility shortcut, however you will need the world to yourself or 1 noob to kill them quick enough, this can pose frustration/problems. Note: this list is SOLELY for using effigies on slayer, charms are not considered, nor the frequency of effigies (For opening xp), nor profit/loss. It is also fairly rough and rounded due to variables in kill rates & effigy approximation being less accurate for lower combat mobs. (Ddevls, fg's dags etc). However majority of values should be accurate within 5% or so. From experience I know a task list of ~13 is sustainable, less might also be possible but it really depends on how many points you start with to counteract any bad task streaks. I found the results for some of the tasks I'd normally discount surprising (dust devils, fire giants) however I do slay for effigies primarily rather than pure slayer xp, so I guess my personal list would differ. Now in the context of 200m all skills, opening effigy xp would need to be taken into account, as well as summoning xp & also the frequency of the effigies. I know it's considered best to get slayer done then camp something else for them, however it's also worth noting what is feasibly possible for a human being to endure.
  21. How are aquanites faster than aberrants xp wise? Are you taking kills per hour into consideration based on their effigy drop rates? aberrants are 600 kills an hour at least, and at 96 combat they'd be around 1300 or so drop rate for effigy. What is the kill rate of aquanites? I honestly can't see how they are better than aberrants in any way. Your formula is either wrong, or you have wrong information for your formula. Another example is dust devils higher than suqah.
  22. What order are those tasks in from top to bottom? Best all-round? There seems to be a high bias towards summoning xp rather than effigies/slayer xp. There is no way aberrants/abby demons would be below jungle strykewyrms lol
