Thanks grimy Changed Farming to something more logical - max feasible XP per day it would perhaps be ~10k less from an assumed 10% death rate of herbs, but eh. Just need the Combat XP rates now & DG
  2. You don't get bored doing the same thing over and over? I'm pretty sure your in the minority on that opinion. Tbh, I have to agree with Golvellius for once, since he forgot to deliberately troll and post a proper answer. Don't let those standards slip! @Xensure: As for the Best/most optimal slayer task list, I only have a little more research to do I guess in terms of the general powerslayer - or slaying to 200m/combats, not for someone who would want to necessarily get 200m ALL skills. Is the assumption on the use of bonecrusher/urns & herbicide, that they bank zero bones/herbs with yak & have infinite money for the purpose of calculation? Also would golds be used? I feel greens should be as you get a LOT from dragon tasks, and the xp ratio on unis : steels, is 1 crim = 3 green, although the cost is drastically different. At current Cannonball prices & the meteoric rise in DragonBone prices - PowerSlaying for Effigies now should be around 3-400k per hr, if not slightly more.
  3. I have made a spread sheet a while back attempting to figure that out. I ignored the greens and golds because I was using the cave crawler method after 200m slayer so picking up golds and greens would be a waste of time since you will get plenty of greens, crims, and blues from cave crawlers that you wont have to use any golds. I get about 315k crimsons and 55k blues from 185m slayer xp. Doing this task list and cancelling everything else. **note** this was Zarfot's final task list, so that is why I used it. I have no proof that it is the optimal task list, but Thai is working on a formula that will find the optimal tasks to do. Ice strykewyrms Steel dragons Bloodvelds Dagannoth Black demons Dark beasts Waterfiends Aberrant spectres Mithril dragons Black dragons Iron dragons Skeletal wyverns Suqahs If you do TDs, or frost for the rest of melee after slayer you will get enough blues and crimsons that you won't need all of the greens you get from both slayer and the TDs/frost. What optimal list do you want? Max Effigies/Slayer XP, or 1:1 summoning XP? Or slightly less than 1:1 to account for the other 100m combat that needs to be trained.

Just gonna bump this before bed since i still need a few rates/confirmations

Ones in green fairly happy with. Although i'm not 100% on Wines due to the various mechanic updates

Seconding this, I was getting 80k while screwing up regularly (forgetting to repot, messing up mousekeys, etc.) Thanks that helps considerably - I'd imagine 80k an hour then is well worth it, and a lot of people would put up with the imbuggerance of dropping for that kind of XP. Also - for personal reference - how many Urns for the hour is required.
  7. Vex replied to Vex's topic in Help and Advice
Fishing: Not counting cutting/sweets method as i'm sure for the vast majority of people, they wouldn't do that. Even fast drop or alc may be too much to consider. Something more practical like - Granite Lob + Urns + Full Invent dropping is probably the most common method that people would use I guess. That figure for Hunter sounds extremely high, especially for well under 99. Zamorak favour pots only add 10% XP & I do not think without them that Draconic/Common Jadinko method is in excess of 300k? Also the final figure should include the time it takes to get the zamorak favour pots as you cannot obtain the XP rate without them. Much like Overloads without extremes. Runecrafting - ZMI is 60k p/h @ say 1 minute 10 per lap - I think that's around the standard pace without using mousekeys probably. I will assume people have a full bank though - not sure if familiar is used nowadays. Not going to consider ess running as that still seems too impractical for the majority of players, 1100 XP per lap sound right? Also I have not counted Urns for Mining - But will assume you use JuJu pots since the secondaries are draconics these take no real additional time to get.(Since it's assumed you would train hunter on draconics) @Noxx I haven't considered Sawmill as I heard it was 100-110k and Urns do not effect it. Also I can't see many people opting for 10% more woodcut xp per hr over sacrificing Firemaking XP (which not many people enjoy) & I believe anyone doing Woodcutting long term would do Ivy due to the ease.
  8. Vex replied to Vex's topic in Help and Advice
Practical, non-mousekey dependant methods lol that a vast majority of the playerbase can achieve. With Lumberjack & Urns, would that not put Teak XP close to 100k? Since at teaks you drop or alc the logs, bringing Urns shouldn't be a problem - also very quick to bank using Tai bwo scrolls. I am also assuming with Mining that you bank the Ore rather than drop it or superheat it, otherwise 70k? is possible EDIT: Went through all of Zarfots old skilling vids which list in detail various methods & timings, then take a bit of XP off due to mousekey or excessive clicking requirement for some.
  9. Vex replied to Vex's topic in Help and Advice
I put 600k for the Mahogs as a conservative estimate - due to the pwnage people doing 700k or whatever. However I am also unable to get the 600k an hour and get closer to 500k, after looking at videos I can only assume it's down to latency. Yeah I need to include the barb rates for str & agi, but am unsure of what they are. I know for the woodcutting teaks it's generally 1/3rd FM xp passively, however in the grand scheme of burning magics, it saved negligible time & negligible cost. I'm not sure if i'll include BA horn charging rates in using effigies, as not everyone does it or has access to a good team due to the reliance on other people (I could perhaps say the same for DG, but if you get to 120... you should have the means to get top XP).

Need some help or confirmation of ALL post 99 XP Rates & Methods & GP/XP. I want the widely accepted rate & not theoretical max, mousekey & click intensive methods for each skill. Costs must be under 20 gp/xp with prayer & herblore the exception. This is to use for my effigy guide, alternatively someone can post a bunch of pre-done math with comparison to ALL skills, indicating time or money saved when using the lamp in each skill & I can cite them in credits saving me some time lol. I will modify this list as I get some confirmation/corrections. Changed Order around from Slowest to Fastest Runecrafting: ZMI Crafting: 60,000 XP - 70 Second Laps, 1150 Exp per lap Agility: Advanced Barbarian Course: 70,000 XP Fishing: Barbarian Fishing: 75,000 XP & x Agi & x str xp Mining: Concentrated Gold: 80,000 XP (JuJu, Lava Titan, Urn, Dropping) Summoning(Obtaining Charms): Barraging Rock Lobsters: 95,000 XP Woodcutting: Teaks & Adze: 100,000 XP & 35,000 Firemaking XP Smithing: Adamant Platebodies: 230,000 XP (~4k Bars per hour) Hunter: Draconic Jadinkos: 250,000 XP (The average rate if you spent time getting Zamorak favours) Thieving: Punching Monkeys: 300,000 XP (I Could use 250,000 as PP instead as that requires no use of mousekeys or disciplined clicking) Crafting: Blue Dragonhide Bodies: 300,000 XP (Black D-hide is currently 25gp/xp - even at extremely high incomes most people would do blues atm) Firemaking: Magic Logs: 375,000 XP (1200 Logs per hr(Gloves & ring)) Farming: Magic, Palm, Calquat, Torstol: 380,000 XP (6x Palm 15x Magic 1x Calquat 50x Torstol patches(10 runs) Xp available in 24hours Construction: Mahogany Tables: 500,000 XP (Doesn't assume mousekeys or <20 Latency) Fletching: Broad Arrows: 500,000 XP Cooking: Wines: 650,000 XP Herblore: Overloads: 700,000 (Includes the time spent making Extremes) Lamp only Skills Slayer: PowerSlaying Specific List: 45,000 XP (Long term average, 40,000 may be more applicable) Constitution: Chinning Ape Atoll: 115,000 XP (1/3rd chinning Xp) Attack/Strength/Defence: Living Rock Creatures/Ape Atoll: 150,000 XP (May be more, also Defence can be much higher due to Iron Titan) Magic: Barraging Ape Atoll: 300,000 XP (Not sure on this figure) Ranged: Chinning Ape Atoll: 350,000 XP( Has 400,000 been confirmed?) Prayer: Frost Dragon Bones: 800,000 XP This will have a seperate calculation as the skill goes to 120. Dungeoneering: Max Prestige: 350,000 XP (30 Minute Floors & 1-30 C1?)
  11. @Summondskull I've just done a lot of testing of this tonight. I need to update my method in the guide, but I can give you some TLDR's in here. You will need summoning potions ~ 20 of them. 500k Profit per hour 70k melee xp an hr (this should be higher but with all the clicking, picking up & scrolling, lose quite a lot of attack turns.) 55k Ranged Xp EQUIVALENT CRIMSON RATES: These INCLUDE Effigy rates & the lamp going towards summoning @ level 92 & the xp being converted back into an equivalent crimson charm. The waterfiends are not based on max stats & maul but should be rough. Bursting: 170 Barraging: 240 Waterfiend Ancient Cavern: 150 Waterfiend Chaos Tunnels: 205 Black Demon Cannon: 210 - 225 (150-165 without lamp) These are equivalents based on pre level 96 summoning, so would perhaps be higher. Waterfiends are still better if you don't use the lamp, or want a higher concentration of crimsons - you will get less effigies & profit however.
  12. How do you verify if an individual has upgraded their ring?
  13. 4.2 Gold Charms = 1 Crimson charm 3 Green Charms = 1 Crimson charm 1 Blue Charm = 2 Crimson charms There is nothing wrong with collecting golds & greens, the above figures are for the BULK part of summoning XP. 80-96 or so. Also at lower levels Crimsons ARE NOT always best, at around 20 summoning, the ratio of XP from gold to Crimson is 1:2, not 1:4, also you have to take into costs of lower levelled secondaries, they might be something dodgy and cost a lot more than 10gp/xp (although the amount of XP you will be getting won't end up costing you much gp, even at those rates) It's typically accepted that for the bulk of summoning xp crimsons are the best, but with using your other charms correctly, there are uses for golds & greens. TLDR: Golds are NOT bad at your level & prior to 65 summoning or so.

In regards to the ancient mage def requirements. With these stats, once my Overload & Turmoil ran out (I did 10kills or so at the end without either, the reavers still didn't aggro on me. I feel the aggro is somewhat inconsistent or buggy, i'm not sure. However the melee & rangers seem to be 240+ and 230+ respectively, but the 100+ figure for reavers seems inconsistent. (Actually come to think of it, my def might be boosted a little still due to EEE)
  15. I'm imagine Tort, FallyTab > Bank > Wall & 70/75 agility + Summer pie Pipe or spikes would do the job, bank time of around 60-90 seconds. I'd say it's at least 200 kills an hr probably. (This would obviously make it nowhere near as good I guess)
  16. Vex replied to Bladewing's topic in Help and Advice
I think you need to move at least 10 times per round, or there needs to be 10 attack turns. Also needs to be a certain amount of units, I found 10 scouts worked well when my brother was doing it :twss: since you can have the scout's attack the champions and then die in retaliation (so cutting the kill time in half) Aside from that I can't really remember, it should take like 2-3 hours, nothing outrageous like MA. Although I think if both accounts start at 1000 rank, if the 2nd gets too low, i'm not sure if you still gain many points or not.
  17. EQUIVALENT CRIMSON RATES: These INCLUDE Effigy rates & the lamp going towards summoning @ level 92 & the xp being converted back into an equivalent crimson charm. The waterfiends are not based on max stats & maul but should be rough. Bursting: 170 Barraging: 240 Waterfiend Ancient Cavern: 150 Waterfiend Chaos Tunnels: 205 Black Demon Cannon: 210 - 225 (150-165 without lamp) Only drawback to Black Demons is the lamp adds nearly 60 equivalent crimsons of XP, obviously if you camp for a long time averages should "average out", however since no effigies are dropped from rock lobs, their charm rates are consistent.
  18. Slayer is not 1:1 Summoning:Slayer xp As for your plan. 85 Dungeoneering should be done first - you can bind a prom2h therefore you are good to go, you will also gain strength xp as you level it in there. You may also find you enjoy it and would like to keep going, i'd encourage you to do as you have everything to gain, nothing to lose by doing dungeoneering first, sure frosts will get more crowded(more crowded? l0l), but prices will invariably come down and other high earners will appear that will cycle the demographic of players camping there. You should then really get a Pack Yak before doing any serious frost camping. Ways to do this: Bursting/barraging rock lobs - since you are only 85 magic, this would be a good option (bursting that is even if it's to get you to only 88 summoning) AFK'ng on Black Demons, probably 50-60 crimsons per hr with your stats (more in equivalent crimsons (other charms taken into account) (Also effigies should be assisted and spent on Summoning @ 92+) Waterfiends, however due to the crush requirements this will give you strength xp, you specified 99/90/99 so I assume you don't want it over that? 88 Summoning may also be an option for a Unicorn, you could do Tormented Demons with Piety/Rigour combination (Rigour from all the DG'ng you did) you'd also like extremes for this, but getting those is only around 40-50m. From this point on it's just a question of money for Overloads & Turmoil, it's hard to predict how prices will be in a months time. The ONLY reason I would do Slayer - is if you want to level the skill, or have trouble camping certain monsters for a period of time without getting bored (and thus going and standing at GE or in the bank just staring at the screen (yeah ok that's from personal experience l0l) TLDR: Summoning is the most important and really does change the way in which you play the game, both via tedium (banking with tort) & methods available to you (Monster Hunting & their incomes)
  19. It's 350 Crimsons, or 480 equivalent crimsons per 1000 Barrages (2 hours). Equivalent is the other charms taken into account & their xp converted to a crimson. Ie 4 gold charms = 1 crimsons, or 2 blue charms is 4 crimson. Robes are worth getting for barraging & if you can do FoG easily on f2p - taking 1.5-2hrs to recharge robes (275 tokens). So in your case, needing 11,000 equivalent crimsons charms (We will calculate in equivalent crimsons, as we will assume you will use gold, green & blue charms aswell that you collect as it is a big part of the summoning xp there). 11,000/240 = 45 Hours of Barraging. Robe set lasts for 8 hours @ Rock Lobs. You will need to charge your battle robes 6 times. This will take 10-12 hours. 45 Hours of Barraging @ 500 casts per hour. 22500 casts needed Sol & Robes save you approx 50% of runes. Actual casts you consume - ~11000 Current cost of 1 barrage. (water runes free due to offhand) 2400gp 26.5M cost. + Prayer pots (insignificant) Remember that's dealing in equivalent crimsons, based on. Green: Fruit bat Gold: Barker Toad Crimson: Swamp Titan Blue: Geyser Titan You will spend more money converting them into pouches, but the hard part is getting the charms.
  20. Vex replied to Nifflin's topic in Help and Advice
A cannon will eat into your profit considerably, but will boost your slayer xp/hr by a lot. However since you are only 83 slayer, you do not have access to: Abyssal Demons, Ice Strykewyrms & Dark Beasts. Abyssal profit however now relies on you having a Yak due to the ashes, although with 86+ Agility & a dose of super antifire, tort banking the ashes may be a viable option, via fero ring (same difference as banking on blues). Ice strykes you do not need a yak & you will earn around 500k an hr only off them, but get a lot of mage xp at around 2gp/xp or something less. Aside from that, all income from slayer is fairly abysmal - it is no secret that camping a monster will yield more profit than killing random monsters briefly. Of course our brain and eyes need a change of scenery, even if what you are doing is fundamentally the same thing. (Killing mobs) Slayer is truly poor profit & using a cannon & piety allows you to go through the skill a lot quicker & in theory, allows you to get more of the profitable tasks (via cancelling and finishing your current task sooner.) There is also opportunity cost to take into consideration but that borders more on the "efficiency" point of view. Ie, an abyssal demon is worth X amount, spending Y amount is ok, if it means you can kill more abyssal so that X amount is a lot more than Y amount, such is the case with rarer drops. TLDR: Using a cannon, ppots etc, you won't see your bank move much at all, especially not being able to kill the top slayer creatures & being able to bank drops you normally wouldn't bother with. The only reason powerslaying can return a profit, is due to the opportunity cost argument - you kill so many more things you end up getting more rare drops and thus claim back more gold while still getting high xp & effigies etc.
  21. So, assuming you value your time at 1m/hr. Let's try to break it down. Assumed Bones Per Hr with War Tort: 1200 XP required from 70-95: 8M Big Bone: XP: 52.5 Bones Needed: 152,000 Cost per: 632 Total Cost: 96M Total Hours: 126 Baby Drag: XP: 105 Bones Needed: 76,000 Cost per: 2017 Total Cost: 153M Total Hours: 63 Dragon: XP: 252 Bones Needed: 31,500 Cost per: 6492 Total Cost: 204M Total Hours: 26 If time is valued at 1m/hr, we take total cost & subtract Hours SAVED (As this is your relevant income) then compare it to the total cost of the other methods. Comparisons: Dragon Vs BabyDragon: [204M - 36 = 168M relevant cost] You will save 15M by doing BabyDrags over Dragon, in the same timeframe. Dragon Vs Big Bone: [204M - 100 = 104M relevant cost] You will save 8m by doing Big Bones over Dragon, in the same timeframe. BabyDragon Vs BigBone: [153M - 63 = 90M relevant cost] You will save 3m by doing BabyDrags over Big bones, in the same timeframe. As a flipside - if you are doing the lower bones - you are EARNING money, since you are SAVING money, or SAVING time needed to make money. Unless you extremely dislike prayer training, the babydrag bones should be used @ your relevant income. PS: The additional War Torts, Teletabs & Marrentil required for bigbones/babydrags are NOT included, you may find that will cost around a mil or so.
  22. That would of fixed any confusion and the ensuing counter qq,
  23. Vex replied to Noxx's topic in Help and Advice
Not to be expected, but based on theoretical rate & kill samples of 100k + kills (1/500 rate) @ 9 Cballs per Kill 5550 Kills 11.1 Effigies @ 8 Cballs per Kill 6250 Kills 12.5 Effigies @ 7 Cballs per kill 7100 Kills 14.2 Effigies ~2400 Cballs an hour ~ 300 Kills per hour Average rate is probably between 8 & 9 cballs per kill, Also remember if you bring urns - you can't bank any ashes as they won't appear (they go directly into urn)
  24. Jewellery probably. Gold amulets are like 50k xp an hour and profit slightly. Sapphire Amulets slight loss but 80kish xp an hour. couple of examples
  25. Vex replied to Noxx's topic in Help and Advice
You can use Brimhaven resource - however the room is extremely large and you will find your cannon aggroing far steels & subsequently not helping you kill them as other dragons patrol in the way etc, it is also single combat. You can't bank 300 ashes per hour with a yak at black demons. You can do around 150-160 without summoning potions + another 30 more or so as you get room in invent + yak.
