  1. Brimhaven Agility Arena, Soul Wars Zeal Dragonkin Lamps from effigies give 49,000 xp or so on a lvl 99 skill. That's without the XP of opening them So for 10m xp you'd need 200 or so, which would take roughly 400 hours of gameplay, or 1 month for the poopsockers.
  2. Oh make sure you do familiarisation as well, extremely worth it.
  3. if you have normal sets already, all you have to do is finish the last void quest in the series. You will get a free elite Top, then you will need 100? commendations to upgrade your bottoms to elite, and that's it. Basically it adds +8 prayer bonus to your void set giving you about 25 prayer if using SW cape as well. Obviously you can use Normal void, it just won't have the prayer bonus. Also void has roughly the same magic defence as black d-hide.
  4. If you wanted some data. For a completely maxed player - (Overload, Turmoil, Elite Void, Rapier, 99 attack and strength) In 3 Overloads (60 minutes). I was able to achieve 160,000 strength xp, or roughly 150 kills (combined strikers & protectors) No specials were used, for a Slayer Task, you could increase this to approximately 175,000 - 180,000 Strength XP I'd imagine. As there would be a 5% increase in strength and attack over Void, + strength gained from Bandos & Dragon Defender.
  5. Gotta update dat blog. Did Do No Evil today, can sort of watch shows and pickpocket the dudes, not too click intensive since you can only loot twice per knockout. I imagine I will level my thieving here, until 81 at least. Did some more poening of Mario, good fighted bowser, now i've got all the optional stars etc to get. Some of those bonus levels are pretty sadistic tbh. Was raging hard earlier, but the sense of satisfaction when completing a level is worth the rage. Hopefully get my other piece of witchdoctor stuff tomorrow, if not i'll pone hunter to 80 anyway. I've got all 8 seasons of 24 to watch soon, and once I start, well it's going to be a session. So, that's thieving and hunter methods almost sorted for effigies, definitely will splash some cash and get 80 construction soon for the habitat stuff. Once I complete those 2 I guess it's going to be doing the BA skills... so if I can get a team for that should be sweet. (mining, firemaking, agility) Good night internet
  6. Hehe well I can't afford that :P I'm still a nub haha! I can get 200K odd in a day really with on and off slaying. :P However I don't have: A. Overloads - and tbh people do say anything more than an extreme is overkill. B. Turmoil - Saving for it though! :3 C. The money to piety AND cannon. Tbh 2 of those things seem to be a major waste of resources and money :P I learnt things as I went. Overloads aren't needed or worth it to some extent. Turmoil probably isn't when cannoning aberrants & dagannoth, but since the task is over so fast the ppots used might even cut down on cballs used so cost evens out (so many variables that it'd be difficult to work this out, however the cost difference is really insignificant) Cancelling tasks is the most important thing over just cannoning everything. Some tasks really are a waste of time, especially if you are willing to cannon/piety. My list in my guide is for effigies only, however there are several additional tasks that can be worth doing for most people, but there are several which really aren't. As for my list & slayer part to my guide, I was curious to see how the top Slayers got so much XP per day & I learnt first hand how to do it & also found you can make a profit doing so. There are numerous guides to Powerslaying, but I haven't found one that has the perfect list. Anyway I'm in the process, (amongst 1000 other things) of trying to see how much time & money is saved or earnt, by deriving gp/xp values to various Slayer monsters & the methods involved in killing them. As for the question in hand - Slayer is a secondary skill, between 93-99 it is levelled while you level other combat skills. Camping a monster will always be better cash, charms & effigies. If you are < 96 summoning you will want Charms If you do NOT have Turmoil nor Extremes, you will most likely want profit. If you want to level your non-combat skills, you will want Effigies, for now, or to store for the future. (These can also be used on Prayer & Herblore which put's them in the profit category. Design your list around that, don't waste your time doing tasks not catered to your needs or to your stats. (So if you are maxed don't waste your time on fire giants or warped tortoises, you can just cancel them and forgo the "100k" in runes it costs you and get another task that will potentially reward you with much more than 100k, or effigies, or charms - in the same time period.)
  7. Hmm, I should do a cost comparison between bursting lobs & cannoning black demons. CT Black Demons are a great alternative to CT waterfiends if you don't want to pay much attention. But tbh you are 94 summoning you're so close to a yak you'll be motivated enough to grind out WF's ;p
  8. Bring pots for how long you plan/are able to stay there for, Divide Minutes by Dosage. For example, for 1 hr of Slayer I bring 2 Ext str & att (4). So I repot after 7-8 minutes assuming I remember. For bosses inventory management is more important, there is no point having a couple of doses left over after you tele. Or 1 extra pot that could of been a Ppot/food etc. There is no real cut-off point that bears any significance, it's pretty much managing your inventory (which is more important if you don't have a Yak to fit loot or supplies).
  9. If you have elite void, use that. Otherwise use this. Neitz Fury K top K bottom D boots Berserker ring Barrows gloves SW/Fire Cape & your maul Since you have soul-split no real requirement to pray range, EEE is good as a spec weapon as well. Bring some alc runes for rune meds/water battlestaffs, you will make all of your cash back at least. Mithril Arrows/Water Orbs are other stackables they drop & various herbs as you start to free up your invent. prayer pots and extremes are cheap, don't not use them under the illusion that "they will save you money". You could also potentially just use black d-hide instead of Karils thanks to soul split, since K-Top is worth around 8m? atm. With those stats avail & turmoil & maul you should expect close to 120 crimsons an hr.
  10. Based on your stats, I assume you have a rapier & access to super-antifires & piety. Since you are towards the upper echelon stat-wise for Kuradel, doing noob tasks aimed at the fresh 110 combats is a waste of time, especially since they generally lack in, slayer xp/hr, charms, effigies & profit. Quick sample list: This is just quickly & assumes you do NOT want to powerslay for effigies (since I have a guide for that and there are numerous others for powerslaying in general) Blocked Jungle Strykewyrms Fire Giants Desert Strykewyrms Warped Tortoise Greater Demons Aquanites (Not unlocked) Allow: Black Dragons Black Demons Steel Dragons Mithril Dragons Ice Strykewyrm Iron Dragons Dagannoths Aberrant Spectres (profit, fast xp when cannoned) Dark Beasts Abyssal Demons Blue Dragons Spiritual Mages (Profit) Waterfiends (Charms) Skeletal Wyverns (Charms) Nechryael (Charms & Profit) Gargoyle (Decent Profit, low effort task) Cancel/Optionals depending on what you want out of slayer. TzHaar (Mediocre Profit, no charms) Dust Devils (Decent crimsons, but so are a load of other things, limited profit) Kalphite(Uncommon assignment - should cancel) Suqah (Fast if on Lunars, uncommon assignment) Terror Dogs (Fast via slayer ring, uncommon assignment) These 2 are very good for slayer xp/hr and Mutated Bloodveld are extremely good for Effigies. However both return a loss of money for no benefit other than fast slayer xp & effigies (charms are golds) Bloodveld Hellhounds Cater your cancel list around whatever, but there is no real reason to do the recommended blocked tasks when you have so many other options available. Streamlining your slayer task list & treating slayer as a secondary skill, not a primary skill will help you get the best out of it. (I.e you are essentially just killing things for Slayer, so do you want more charms, more profit or more effigies, or faster XP so you can go back to camping?)
  11. There are so many things I could say right now, but I'll just get in trouble, FML
  12. Download/Stream some TV shows/films. Windows 7 side by side, Level prayer ???? Profit
  13. Yeah hopefully i'll get my finger out and do em this week lol. Captains Log... (I think i'm going to coin this phrase for my blog title tbh) Just did some hunter today - I find i'm able to do the box trapping while being able to watch tv shows in split screen, so i'm enjoying the jadinko stuff atm. Especially since you have to acquire the seeds yourself & grow the herbs make pots etc, it's a novel concept knowing I can't just go and buy the stuff, so it makes the gathering process meaningful I guess and funnily enough psychologically this seems to have an impact lol. On another note, I might add what games I play aside from Runescape. Having bought a wii recently for various reasons, (Xbox and PS3 provide the same titles/genres of games and services that I get from my PC) I shall list the games I currently play on there for an hr a day or so. Currently poneing Mario Galaxy 1. 72/120 Stars.
  14. Make sure you do fish flingers with CC: "fish fling1" on world 77. Equivalent of 60k xp/hr & after all fish are found is extremely afk. Games are every 90minutes and you have 10 entry tickets per week, resetting from the point you use your first one.
  15. Grats on the 99 Cannon-the-[cabbage]-out-of-everything-to-kill-faster-so-i-can-get-more-effigies-pl0x skill
  16. When trying to calculate the time it takes to complete this goal, the best known methods that the game mechanics allow should be used, since that is what is possible within the laws & physics of the game (runetek engine). Whether or not a Human-being can or wants to do it, is irrelevant as it's too subjective (people are all different, the rules and what the game allows you to do is a constant however and can be explained with math.) Noone is expected, nor is it deemed feasible to do said methods @ said xp rates, however it is still possible and therefore should be taken into account as the absolute maximum rates & minimum of time. By using a static, unchangeable model, it is applicable to all and therefore can be used as a comparison tool. This doesn't actually mean the players as individuals use these methods or play at those rates. Calculating this model has only become relatively tricky with the addition of Effigies and to some extent combination methods. GP isn't taken into account in the models as there doesn't exist a constant rate at which you can earn it, (it's dynamic). If Effigies and residual XP didn't exist, then every skill would have a flat XP rate and then there wouldn't be much discussion value, at least not in regards to finding the fastest (not best as that is subjective) possible ways. So I perhaps wouldn't call it "the most efficient way to max 200m", but more so, "the quickest way to max 200m", which is required for a model/comparison tool that is applicable to ALL working towards this goal.
  17. Sounds like you need a good dose of MFC, then a 10 hr session on RS. Bachelor [bleep] yeah
  18. ~275,000 Cannonballs (More if you don't do Abyssal Demons) ~2500 Prayer Potion (4)
  19. You are over 68 summoning, so no
  20. Then I was like  Will be a PK hotspot :-( * And now I'm like :twss:
  21. Gotta say I just unlocked all the thieving guild stuff and coshing sucks. I didn't realise you'd have to click continue in the chat log and that you cant just click, Lure > Knock-Out > Loot.
  22. Updated first post with my relatively boring skilling goals, fml
  23. I have a feeling it would be more than 850k prayer xp. Here is my data logged from testing powerslaying for effigies over ~3.5m xp. I have just copied the relevant data for this thread, from my blog. [hide] The goal of this list is to earn enough points to cancel tasks. Abyssals and Blue Dragons have slower effigy rates but both provide ~1-1.5m/hr equivalent in profit, also if these were to be cancelled, I am not sure if in the long term you would run out of points. Mutated Bloodveld* 17 Dark Beasts *+ 15 Abyssal Demons+ 14 Ice Strykewyrms 12 Dagannoth* 11 Hellhound* 11 Black Demon+ 10 Aberrant Spectres+ 8 Steel Dragon 8 Black Dragon* 7 Mithril Dragon 6 Iron Dragon 4 Blue Dragon 2 Prayer XP: 75000 (bonecrusher) Herblore XP: 32000 (herbicide)(This includes cleaning the herbs kept, avantoe+) * Denotes task bonecrusher is used + Denotes task herbicide is used Final Figures for this task list (over a 3.6M slayer XP sample) Effigies Actual: 41 Hours Actual: 96 GP Actual: 75M Cost Actual: 45M Rapier Recharges: 280% = 5,600,000 GP (Included in Costs) Profit Actual: 30M (Not including Visage) Cannonballs/Hr: 1150 Prayer Pots/Hr: 10 Summoning Xp/Hr: 30,700 Slayer Xp/Hr: 37,500 Hours/Effigy: 2:20 Slayer Xp/Effigy: 87,800 Profit/Hr: ~ 300k Powerslaying GP/XP:8 Note: If you decided not to do Abyssal Demons as a task. You would certainly lose any profit (especially since cannonball use will go up & will admit I was lucky on xp/effigy and whips/kills, wthout Abyssals however I feel this figure would be below 1 effigy per 2hrs. Also a note on the Slayer Xp/hr I believe this would be easily over 40k with this list if the fastest method was utilised each time, however for testing reasons my methods varied thus producing an overall slower xp/hr rate. (This also includes banking time & time to acquire/cancel new tasks) [/hide] Dunno if that helps in any calculations, i'd also need a much larger sample size (which I plan to do) but it's pretty much ongoing stuff.
