I just keep reading it or go line by line.

  5. The Hurt Locker. Somewhat disappointed by how it was portrayed in reviews.

Yeah, 1776 words per day can be annoying at times but in the end, writing a novel is just awesome.

Everyone has an accent :P It will sound "normal" to you but to everyone else it won't. I'm from Seattle.

Yes, arming the populace helps kill innocent people, and arms the criminals too.. Who still keeps the guns when the populace have to turn their guns in? Criminals. No matter what laws you bring in, no matter how much you tighten up security, criminals will always get their hands on guns. As long as guns exist, criminals will get them. If they don't exist, they'll make them. With $200 and a Sunday afternoon off and I could have a built-from-scratch revolver that will take shotgun rounds. I'd probably break my wrist firing it, but it's not that hard to make one. Yet the statistics aren't conducive to this conclusion, as the States has far higher rates of gun crime per capita then countries where guns are severely restricted. That's because people turn to using knives.

It's not so much what he did, it's more of a question of why. He modernized China, and made it economically competitive in international markets. In doing so, he helped prevent millions of future deaths.

  13. Holidays are pretty useless by definition.
  14. Body + Hair > Face. Always. Her hair works I guess and her body is probably decent to hot considering she looks like she has a fairly athletic build.
  15. Shure girl has a nicer face imo.
  16. Privitization of the courts system is a great idea especially with companies with as strong a reputation as Blackwater/Xe; after all, "You're an X-wing fighter. Star Wars man..."

When was the last time you saw a plant make a decision? When was the last time you saw a plant have self awareness? I recommend you read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consciousness Something you failed to do with the article you presented.

"Is it really killing?" I consider abortion 'Letting the thing die', not 'Killing it'. Depends on the method, ofcourse. Would you call miscarriages murder? I don't see anything wrong with killing non sentient organisms. Wait - I think I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. Nevermind. But - How can you be sure something isn't sentient? Run tests on it in a lab? Apparently, even plants can be sentient. http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/plants/news-feeling-plants-how-sensitive-flora Plants react with no thought process which constitutes they are (by most standards) not sentient. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sentient And what "standards" are you referring to? I think those plants fit the sentient definition rather well. Plants are not "aware" of their environment. They do react to stimuli but the reaction is impulsive, not conscious.
  20. Let them immigrate freely. Harshly punish those that cause problems. All will be well.

What makes killing something that isn't sentient wrong?
