There are many stores across Runescape that sell a great selection of Rune Main Hand and Off Hand weapons. Not only are they very cheap, but they require NO quests at all and they would suit your needs very, very well. Also not only are they very cheap, they are a very nice shade of blue so you're definitely going to look pretty awesome when you kill a Mage/Range weak monster with your newly purchased Off Hand Rune weapon. To be honest, since it's your first time, i would switch out the Maul for a Rapier or something, take a Shield, drop the Yak and take a Titan instead. Kiln should take you 90 Minutes at most so 18 Doses of Ovl. I'd take a Prayer Pot just incase. Since you're using a shield and you'll have Rejuv the need for food will be minimized (which is why a steel titan would be better than a yak). I've not done the Kiln post-eoc yet, but that's probably how i would go about things.

Some other random levels in addition to getting 99 HP (earlier today) and 99 Mage (past weekend). Also got a Torsion Spring from QBD but i forgot to screeny it.

Well i know that Skeleton Monkeys are terrible. last time i checked they gave around 77 Exp per kill. Armoured Zombies are not too good either since they are now weak to Water Spells (iirc). I know the Big monkeys are pretty good if you're using Dharoks (which should be fine for you) and i've heard that Dust Devils are pretty good too (around 200k exp/h depending on your method). Now that being said, someone like you who has 70+ Def can probably get close to 250k if not more at Fire Giants. I'm getting around 200k/h now using a Godsword and it takes me around 3 or 4 hits to kill them usually. I'm sure that with DH you're going to be 1-2 hitting a lot of them if you keep your LP really low so i can see you getting a lot of exp there. Only bad thing is that the charms are terrible. Also i should mention that the exp gains i mention are purely Melee exp, i didn't count the HP exp with that.

Eww... Like i said, i'm not at all homophobic, but don't ever see myself hooking up with a guy. No... just.... no. And yeah Rpg you are kind of right. Thing is i've realised that a lot of girls like having out with guys that are gay simply because they like having the male company without the constant flirting going on. And the true reason is that it's been said for a long time that girls don't want a guys opinion they just want to hear their own opinion in a deeper voice... gay guys can do this. I know it sounds really stupid, but sometimes i feel like its so true. We went out with the guys again last night (the gay guy). He apologized for what he tried doing and i told him it was all in good fun so don't worry about it. We went to a place we usually go to and few minutes after we got there i saw the girl. This is the girl that i've mentioned a few times now ([bleep]ty girl), the one that rejected me not long ago. The gay guy seemed to know her and i told him about what happened when i tried my luck with her the one night. He laughed. He told me he could get her to come over and i was a bit unsure if he should or not but before i could even think he walked over to her and few seconds later she was there. Now i dont know what he said to her but when she got to where we were sitting she walked right over to me and gave my a hug and asked me how i was doing. I was confused and asked her if she remembered who i was, she giggled and said she does. Even more confused but whatever. I got up and asked her if she wanted to sit down, she said it was fine and instead sat on my lap. She was wearing a really short dress... And it was pulling up a bit... It was awkward... Long story short, it was a great night. Edit: Also i found out im the first guy shes been with since May. Not sure if its good or bad, but it felt pretty cool :D Also last night my ex told me she wanted me to go visit her in San Francisco but i'm not sure if it's a good idea or not. I mean the timing is terrible cause its going to be a crazy two weeks and i told her that, but i kind of do want to see her still.

Guys, i had a [bleep]ed up night... We went out, and decided to mix things up and go somewhere we've never been. Bad idea. We get there and it's a really small whine and beer bar. Really small. Everyone around there knows everyone. Soon as we walk in faces turn, etc. They can smell we're new. We try to act cool, and some guy walks over to us and introduces himself. He's gay. When i say gay i mean really gay. Like those over the top gay guys. Those are the types i really dislike. Now i don't mind him being gay. Go for it, Be proud of it. But christ i don't need to hear it every 5 minutes. Do i remind people i'm straight every 5 minutes? No. So why should he? Anyway, he's a nice guy. We hang out with him and his friends all night. Girls keep on coming and going. Gay guys make really good wing men. Anyway he introduces me to this girl. Really, really cute. Petite blonde girl. Really my type. But she was a bit of a freak it turned out. We went outside to have a cigarette when she told me she had none left, can she have one of mine... I had none left either. So i told her i could go to the store real quick and get some. She offers to come with me. Half way there she yells "Oh my god stop!" I paniced like [bleep] and slammed the breaks "What!?" She said nothing i just wanted you to stop and she pretty much jumped on me and started kissing me. I'll end the story there cause it get's a bit worse. Anyway 30 minutes later we're back at the bar and her gay friend keeps on making really awkward comments about why we took so long. Night comes to an end and i'm... well exhausted. I had a pretty good night, i though. We say bye to everyone, and that's when it happened. The gay dude said bye: "I do hugs". I thought meh, whatever i dont care i'll hug the dude. He was cool so why not? Yeah he tried kissing me.... He has a bit to drink, but still... But yeah... fun night. Get a gay friend, they're amazing wing men.

Really happy about this drop. Had a lot of trouble finding an open world (as i expected) so i had to "crash" a guy. Managed to do so but that just let to a lot of people trying to crash me. People came and went and no body really managed to crash me successfully. They would get a kill every now and then and eventually hop. Then the three guys in the picture came in and started spamming "Good Game" the whole time (i was on a Quick Chat world) before Zammy spawned. When he spawned i managed to get the kill (got the drop). Stayed for 20 minutes more and got every kill after that too :D Finding it really strange how Lvl 200s with close to maxed gear can't crash a lvl 151 in Batwing haha.

Ward first kill of trip (was also the first drop i've ever had from Zammy). Hilt was 1st kill after i came back from a smoke break :D

This: And also got 98 Mage yesterday i think. Should have 99 Mage/88Summoning in a day or two. Also i have found that Zammy and QBD are my two new favorite bosses and i might be camping them for a while.

Well EoC has been out for about 10 days now. I just have a few thoughts/opinions about it. What i am about to say will most likely come off as a rant (probably because some of it is, in a way), but i guess i just wanted to get it out. First of all, the past 10 days of playing RS has been some of the most fun i can remember having on this game. I started playing late 2007 (i think that was just before free trade was removed) so i never got to play RS in it's glory days (which i assume was anything from when it was first released to probably late 2006). So for me, the EoC has been great fun. I admit that the first 2 or 3 days getting used to the new abilities was a bit frustrating, and even now i'm still getting used to them and figuring out things. So far i've learned that actually spamming abilities can do more harm than good, and playing defensive can be very good in the right circumstances. It was a bit frustrating having to raise my Defense in order to wear armour i used to be able to wear, and even more frustrating knowing there's armour i would not be able to wear anymore. But those are all small sacrifices i was willing to make. PKing has changed a lot, which is the main reason i started making a Zerker (which is now a Rune Pure). But I kind of lost my appeal to PKing for a while now, and i've found a few bosses that are pretty fun to kill, even with 50 Defense. I think it's pretty cool that a Rune Pure can also enjoy some of the funner things in RS (and by this i mean PvM in the form of Bosses) without having to do so in large groups. I like the fact that every NPC now has it's own weakness and that we are, in a way, forced to use a certain combat style to kill them efficiently. I've always been someone that likes using Range, Mage, and Melee for PvM but i always suffered a great loss in exp rates when i chose to do so. Now i know i can do this and still maintain top exp gains. I think that was a really good thing. I admit that some things might seem a bit out of whack at the moment, but i trust that i time these things will be ironed out. I've enjoyed doing Zammy and QBD the past few days using Mage. Who would have thought? GWD using Mage? It's awesome! Now we get to the part of my post that might be seen as a bit of a rant. PKing. Not really PKing, but the PKing community. I believe that the EoC has gotten rid of a lot of the old PKers. PKing was dying out as it was, pre-EoC, but i believe that this was sort of the "final straw" for a lot of the high-profile PKers (by this i mean the YT videomakers). Am i upset about that? No. In fact, i think this is one of the best things to happen to PKing in a very long time. Let's face it, the PKing community was a rotten one. People PJing left and right, Rushing, Luring. It was really a filthy sight, and managing to fight an honest fight was hard. Finding an honest high risk fight almost impossible at times. Getting rushed by some idiot who has no idea how to PK the conventional way and seeing him say "Bodied" ,"Sit", "Cya", "Mad?", "Scrub", "Hick", the list goes one, as he kills you while you were in a fight with someone else... that was something that could only cause great amounts of frustration. And i am happy that those guys have left. Now i know a lot of high-profile PKers were not PJers nor Rushers, but a lot of them were players with rotten attitudes in game and they had a lot of influence on what the PKing world was. Then we get to the people that quit because of EoC. I respect anyone who quit, but only if they had a valid reason. I've seen so many people quit simply because "i spent 10 minutes on RS and it was gay", "x-yt videomaker says it's gay, so that means it has to be and i'm quitting because of it". Not sad to see those guys go, at all. RS doesn't need them. Also the guys who have their "in depth thoughts on EoC" which is a 5 second video of them saying "It's gay" then logging off, or their "EoC how to guide" which is a 10 second video of them logging in, and logging out. Glad to see them go. I don't know if i'm just bitter, but i've become really tired of all the idiots that have surfaced since talk of EoC. I know there were a lot of them before them, but even more of them seemed to have come out after the release of the Beta. I'm happy that most of them left. Oh and then as a last thought the people who say "I quit RS, EoC is gay" and constantly comment on EoC related videos on yt, then still log in each and every day to play RS... Anyway, overall thoughts of EoC so far :thumbup:

Sounds like a lot of work for something that has a time limit. I'm pretty sure she is interested, but i'm not sure it's worth it.

Either 95 or 77 Prayer. Use Piety/Turmoil or their Mage/Ranged versions depending on what combat style you pk with. From what i've seen Venge is not used like it was before. Overloads would be handy but not essential.

You can't be more wrong. There is still a large number of ways in which skilling can profit. The problem is that none of these methods are fast nor efficient (in terms of exp/h and profit/h).

Probably should have edited my post to make it a bit more current before bumping it, haha. I'll do that now. As for Slayer always being the right answer... It's very rarely the right answer for someone that does not plan on maxing (again), since there are other places to camp that offers much higher exp rates. But thanks anyway.

Think this was on my 5th kill. Went probably about 20 kills on old account without any drops. I'm liking my luck on this account :D

Gonna bump this seeing as i'm back to Straining melee. Was wondering if anyone has found a alternative to Fire Giants yet? Something that offers Crimsons though.

It's not a waste of their time because obviously if they thought it was they would have used someone else's FC by now. I think they're doing it to waste Jagex's time, which means that they (the Fishy gang) are winning, and getting exactly what they want. They're playing a good game right now, becoming an annoyance for Jagex. It's funny. Are you [bleep]ing serious :D I meant in the sense that they're able to create new FCs to host in. Obviously they're losing in the fact that it keeps getting closed, but that doesn't stop them from opening a new one a minute later.
