Thought i'd share a rather awkward story with you guys. So last night me ans dome friends went out for drinks. We went to one of the places we usually go to but decided to just take it easy tonight. Forget about the girls, just have a good time with the guys. Drink a few beers, joke around, etc. So it's the four of us. About 20 minutes after we got there one of my friends had to go for a few minutes to go pick up his girlfriend from work. So it's now the three of us. One of my buddies get's up to go to the toilet and the other one goes to the bar to get a drink. I'm left sitting at the table, just people watching. This is where the fun begins. So this girl walks over to me, sits down next to me and starts talking to me. Introduces herself as Emily. She's not my type at all. I don't want to flatter myself or anything, but i was way out of her league. Anyway, she asked me why i was alone and i explained to her that my mates were around here somewhere. Not short after she asked me if i was gay. I was like "Uhhh why?" Well, then she told me the way i dressed and the fact that i was waiting for two guys.... Okay so because i decide to wear a decent shirt with a cardigan, decent jeans and shoes....im gay? As apposed to wearing the baggiest shirt and jeans i can find, which clearly would have made me straight? Okay.... We continue talking and after about 5 minutes she asks me "You're not from around here, are you?" To myself i'm thinking "God are you a [bleep]ing retard?" I have one of the thickest accents you will ever come across, and it took you five minutes to realize that? So she asked me where i was from, and i told her. She went on to ask me what i'm doing in America and i told her. She then asked my "Why America?" and i told her that they had some great Flight Schools here. She went on to tell me how much she hated America and stupidly i asked why (expecting the exact answer i got): "Have you seen our president?" Now i know things were about to spice up. I asked her what was wrong with him, and she could not give me a specific answer except that "Hes black, and he's muslim." Okay, so after i told you i am from South Africa, and that i've lived in the Middle East for 6 years, she's still going to go ahead and make an ignorant statement like that? So this is where i decided to have some fun with her, and started telling her how i'm happy he was elected because Romney looks like a wife beating, child molesting, redneck. I don't actually believe any of that, i was just trying to get a reaction out of her. She soon realised what i was trying to do and told me to go dance with her. I told her that i don't dance, but she insisted and dragged my by the arm. I resisted and told her to we can talk, but we can't dance. I knew exactly what was going to happen when we got on the dance floor. She's going to do what every other trashy girl here does. She's going to grind her ass against my crotch making me feel so uncomfortable, then she's going to try and kiss me and there's going to be an awkward moment when i tell her to gtfo. I eventually got bored of her and told her i was going to head back to my friends. She tried giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek but i awkwardly evaded hat with a high-5. Oh and i'll have you guys know that in the meantime my friends all got back and they decided to sit at a table close by and spectate. They thought it was the funniest thing ever. Later that night i was at the bar getting a round of drinks for me and my friends when i made eye contact with a girl across the bar. She smiled, i smiled, etc. She waved me over there and so i did go over there. We talked for a few seconds and i told her i really need to get the drinks to my friends, but would she like to join me outside (we were sitting at in the patio area the whole night). She came with me, i gave the drinks to my friends and we started talking. Out of the corner of my eye i saw Emily looking at me and it was kinda creeping me out, so i asked the new girl (Samantha) if she wanted to go dance. We went inside and dances and lo-and-behold seconds later Emily appears on the dance floor not far from us. She came over to me and asked me: "Oh, i thought you didn't dance???" Derp, things just got realllllly awkward. I was getting a bit fed up of her now thought and told her: "What i meant was i didn't want to dance with you." and i kind of just boxed her out by turning my back on her after i said that. I think she got the idea because she left kind of angrily. Me and Samantha danced for a few songs, went outside again and kept on talking. One of Emily's friends comes over and tells me "You really upset Emily, why did you have to be such a dick?" I told Samantha that i was going to call it a night, because things are getting a bit too ridiculous a bit too fast, but i have a ton of beer at my house she's welcome to join me for a drink and a movie or something. She told me that it sounded like fun. I explained to her everything that happened with Emily and she thought it was rather funny. Of course i find myself a decent story teller as i made it a lot funnier than it actually was. We went to my house, had a few more drinks while watching Halloween (apparently she had never seen the Rob Zombie one yet, and she was keen on watching it). Totally, ridiculously random night.... I'm pretty sure that i might have skipped a few things and i know the dialogue isn't exact, but it's more or less what was said. Oh and the cool thing is when Samantha left she told me "We should do this again sometime." Sounds like positive feedback :) Oh and i had a date with a girl i met 3 weeks ago on Thursday. Had a few drinks after she got off from work. She works and lives close to the bar we went to so she walked there. When we left i told her i would drop her off at home since it was pretty cold outside and i didn't want her to walk. When we got to her house she asked me if i wanted coffee. Now i really, really hate coffee. I don't drink it at all unless it's from Starbucks, but thinking that maybe i'd be getting a bit more than coffee i said yeah. I only got Coffee :( But she did say she would really like to see me again. So that's good too :D

I just have a question. I've done done much "research" on this myself and i am purely going off what i've seen on videos or read here and there. To my knowledge the Chaotic Staff and Polypore Staff have the exact same stats except that Polypore has a +5 Prayer. Is this correct? If so, why would something like a Chaotic Weapon now become second best? Has there been any mention that this will be adjusted?

Well basically if you wish to continue wearing rune, youre gonna have to get 50 Def. For Pking you're probably going to want to get higher Attack too. I'll use myself as an example so you get a better understanding of what i mean. Right now i have 45 Def, 60 Att and 95 Str with 95 Prayer. Most of the people i fight have pretty much the same stats with some of them having lower Str but higher Attack. So it all kind of levels out. Come EOC with the new combat formula there's the chance that i'll fight people with the same Str, but a much higher Attack meaning they'll have access to much better weapons at the same combat whilst having the same Str as me. This puts me at a disadvantage. In terms of Defense things won't change too much because you're most likely just going to PvP against other Zerkers or maybe 60 - 70 Def pures with a lower Attack and Str. But in terms of DPS you're going to be at a disadvantage if you're a 60 Attack Zerker like me. So to sum things up. A good Zerker build will now be something like 50 Def, 95 Prayer, 90+ Str, 90+ Attack and 94 Mage (for Venge).

Usually i don't have trouble staying alive with just SS flashing or picking up a few pieces of food dropped. At most i'd die once or twice during the boss just because it's easier/faster to get lp/prayer back that way.

Well i've finally started Dungeoneering on my Zerker. I don't really have any great binds yet simply because i am unsure of what to bind at my level. At the moment i have a Prom Maul which is what i mainly use. Then for some odd reason i have a Grave Longbow, 125 Prom Arrows (which i sometimes use to mess around with) and i think i might have an Empowered Firestaff too. My skills are pretty terrible as i only trained them high enough to do certain quests. So i don't have/can't bind laws either (without the help of someone that is). Chances are that 90% of the floors i do will be Solo Meds, at least until i get to high 90s. So i need help with binds that will be of most value for Solo floors, that will cover all my bases in terms of gd/boss weaknesses. Also i was thinking of getting a hood at first, but is it really going to make that much of a difference if i only do solo floors? I already do most of my floors at between 12 and 15 minutes. Will a hood really make that big of a change? Stats: Atk -60 Str - 95 Ranged - 98 Mage - 95 Prayer - 95 Def - 45 HP - 97 DG - Just about to hit 72.

Okay, maybe at the point of saying "me:you me and whoever else I feel like", you could have thrown her a bone as well... either by saying "just you and me, what do you think?" or "you me and whoever else I feel like or someone you'd like to invite". Just an idea. Being assertive =/= telling people what to do or calling all the shots. You don't want her to think about going or not. You want her to think she has little or no option. You don't want her to think you're inviting the whole town/city, it takes away from the "romance". I mean, if you're going to invite all your friend and all her friends it's not really a date, you're not going to make much progress with her, and you could just as well have stayed home and had a conversation with her via text or msn.

Yep you're headed straight to being friendzoned. You need to spend time with her irl, doesnt matter if it's 5 minutes a day. You need to show her her that you dont want to be her texting buddy. You need to show her that you want to spend time with her. Im not saying you need to get romantic with her, but at least just spend some time with her. Get flirty with her when you talk. Dont be too dirty, but see where she takes it. Try not to end it unless you feel her getting uncomfortable. That will give you a good indication (although some people are just flirty in general). But still, it should give you a bit of an idea. Also, when you guys go out to dinner or whatever, make her pay. But tell her the next one is on you. This kind of tells her you want to do it again. That is, of course, if you enjoyed it.

To add to everything thats been said, melee is a lot faster method. Youve got two options: DH or Bandos with Rapier. I found my average kill while using DH to last under 5 minutes and pretty much the same for Bandos although with Bandos i had more margin for error since i didnt have to sit at ~400 lp the whole time. I found that being around that lp was the only way DH was worth it. With a Bandos setup i'd usually use around 5 brews per kills, sometimes less and with Dh id use about 8 or 9 since i could not SS as often (due to having to stay at low lp). I could usually fit in about 5 kills per trip using Bandos (more whe i used Torva as i'd only use 2 or 3 brews a kill). You could also use Void for Meleeing, although the Melee attack might give you a hard time.

You know, its more important that you had a good time. I know this is the relationship thread, but sometimes the best advice is to stay clear of relationships. I realised a few nights ago i love women. Like i love them. I love meeting new girls and talking to them. Few nights ago we went out for my birthday and i we went to a bar we never go to. Saw a load of new people, and the regulars there knew we were new there too. It was kind of awkward at first. I saw a hot girl dancing and kind of caught myself staring at her at one point. When she went to the bar i walked over to her kind of instictivly and told her i thought she was absolutely gorgeous. We started talking and had a great conversation with her. 15 minutes or so passed, i told her imshould get back to my friends so i said bye and whatever. As i turned around she grabbed my hand and i turned around. She asked me if i wanted her number snd i said "well to be honest, i really just came over here to tell you i thought you were stunning. My intention was not to try and pick you up. I dont really want your number, but thanks for offering" I think its the first time in her kife she has ever been turned down. I continued my night like i the usual except i might have talked to two or three other girls. I saw the first girl looking at me a few times. We decided around 12 that we were going to leave and go to a different place and as we were leaving she came to me and asked ne where we were going. Told her we were leaving etc. She asked me where we were going, maybe she'll see me there later "but incase i dont maybe i could grab your number and give you a call sometime. We could go for a drink". Yep, she asked me for my number. That whole night made me realise how much i liked talking to, and meeting new girls. And ive kind of made it my new goal to talk to at least one new girl every time i go out. Not get her number, just talk to her.

I'm going to tell you a little secret, and it might sound stupid and cliche but it has worked for me so far. Tonight we went out to a bar. it was PACKED. About 30 minutes before we left i noticed a group of girls, two of them really hot. One of them had a boyfriend so i focused my attention on the other one. I wanted to talk to her, but i had no idea what i would say at all. I decided [bleep] thin i'm going over there. So i walked up to her, say "Hey, what's up?" Yes, not exactly the best line to open with, but whatever. We started talking and of course i had a general idea of what i was going to say. Start off with all the basic crap like where are you from (okay, might seem like something silly to ask, but as a foreigner this isn't exactly too stupid of a question to ask), what do you do for a living, etc. Then, if things go to plan, she would mention something that i can kind of talk about. If she doesn't, then keep asking her questions. Girls LOVE to talk. They will make the job so easy for you. You ask them one question and you've got a conversation going for 5 minutes easily. Then you ask them another question. Like the girl i met tonight. I asked her what she did for a living and she spoke about that for a while and mentioned that she got offered another job but never took it. Boom, there was my next question, why didn't you take it? Yes, this all seems like the average guy's attempt at picking up a girl but it does work. It won't work 100% of the time, but like the guy said in Anchor Man "60% of the time it works every time" and that's kind of the attitude you need to go with. Most girl, like i said, love talking. If you ask them questions, no matter how stupid, you show interest, in something more than just what they look like. This is always a good thing. When the conversation starts dying down, this is when you want to get out of there. Tell her you should get back to your friend, or that you're about to leave (even if you're not, [bleep] lie to her). Tell her you would love to continue the conversation some other time and get her number. Then say your goodbyes and gtfo. Now things might be a bit different if you're still in school, but the basic principle will still apply. I heard something a while back that kind of stuck with me: "A good player know when it's a lost cause and needs to get out of there and a good player knows when to wrap things up, get the number, and leave" Not an exact quote, but close enough.

Ehh, when i did the Kiln with 52 Prayer i used only 2 Super Prayer Flasks. Granted i had to do the last 50% of the boss with 0 Prayer. I still think you'll have enough Prayer to use it the entire time, you just wont be able to use any booster prayers except for Jad and Har-Aken (or whatever that fish is called).

If you need stack-able food, the best option is Purple Sweets. If you find yourself needing those, at your level, you're doing something very VERY very wrong. You should not need them at all. Inventory space might be a bit of a concern to you though, at 1 Summoning, if you choose to use all 3 Styles. Probably why i would suggest just sticking to two combat styles (Mage and Ranged) since i'm guessing you're only doing this for a cape and not as a money making method. Getting 99 Ranged and Mage and 99 Con isn't going to change much either, to be honest.

You've been hacked!

No you don't. I've done it with just Ranged and Mage multiple times before on my Zerker. I managed to get to the boss several times as a 1Def pure, 20 Def pure and Rune pure without using Melee in any of those attempts nor did i use a Familiar at all. Only thing you will need to realize is that the whole process is going to become a while lot slower. What you need to do is Mage the Rangers and the Meleers, and Range the Magers. Use PPS with something like Blood Barrage or Blood Blitz to heal. Use your Brews only when you REALLY need to. You want to try and keep as many as you can for the Boss if it's your first time. Gear i would suggest (this will be Low Budget gear) is Royal D'hide Chaps and Body, Karil Xbow, Fury and ASN, PPS, Mages' Book/BSS, Infinity Boots, Mage Cape, the mage gear just below Gano (No idea what it's called), Barrows Gloves, Tokkul-Zo, and a Neit Helm. I might have missed something. As for inventory (i'll assume you have no overloads): Your inventory will already have the following: Royal D'hide Chaps Royal D'hide Body Rune Pickaxe Karil Xbow Fury Then i would take 10 Brew Flasks 5 Super Resotre Flasks 3 Prayer Renewal Flasks Rest of the space you can just leave open. Use the "L" shape rock for the first 20 Waves except for the Jad waves for which you would use the middle rock. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Above method is really slow. Takes about an hour 15 - an hour 30. You've got good Melee skills so i don't see why you would not use them. Heck i would even use Melee in the kiln if i had 60 Attack and 90+ Str. Just take a Whip, some Rune Legs and a Plate and you should be fine. Could take either a Dragon Defender or BSS. If you're still worried about having to eat to often, still use the "L" shape rock for the first 20 waves as this will lure everything to minimize the potential damage you might receive if yous slip up. Again, this method is slow but probably one of the better ones to use for players new to the kiln.

Meh, something you need to realise when it comes to PKing is that if you eat, regardless of your LP at that time, there's a good chance you're going to be called a safer. I've got 97 HP at the moment, and i usually eat when my LP gets to about the 450 mark. I know damn well that the average Range PKer can hit 500s, if not 600s. I know damn well that the average Mage PKer can hit high 400s to mid 500s. I know damn well that the average Melee PKer can spec anywhere from 600 and above. I'm already within their 1-hit range when i decide to eat. Just ignore them. If they call you a safer, it's because they are idiots and they expect you to bend over and just take it up the ass without a fight. As for your PKing build. Range to 2H is generally a better build in F2P because of the lack of KO weapons for Melee (unless you're willing to use Corrupt weapons). Your only real options are either getting a higher Ranged level, and this will have to be at least 85 (if not higher) or you could limit yourself to only fighting other Melee PKers.

Well, I've decided to continue my way to 88 Summoning (higher if i can). This is pretty much what i have decided to do to collect them, in order to combine Charm collecting with getting Ranged, Mage and Str to 99. For ranged i have decided to Cannon Wallasalkis. I've heard they are about 40 Blue Charms per hour. I bought 20k Cannon Balls. Not sure how far these will get me, but i'm about 1.3m exp away from 99 Ranged. Assuming i use about 5k Cannonballs per hour that would get me around 150 Blues give or take. For Magic i have 6k Barrages which i intend to use at Rock Lobsters. Not really sure on the crims rate anymore, but i think it's either 200 per hour or 400 per 1000 casts. Both would pretty much be the same as i think you do about 500 - 550 casts an hour. So assuming this is right that would get me around 2 400 crims. For Melee i was thinking of doing Black Demons in Chaos Tunnels. I'm not sure at all on what amount of charms i could expect for ~4m Str exp. Now according to Tip.It summoning Calculator i'm going to need in the region of 9k Crimsons. Would there be a better way of obtaining them, keeping in mind i am 75 Summoning at the moment, with 60 Attack, low Slayer (which i do not intend to raise), 45 Def, Turmoil/Ovl? EDIT: Since i have no particular rush to get these 99's and/or 88 Summoming, i was thinking i could try and do Str and Ranged first since these two will take a while considering the methods i plan to use and then do Familiarisation each week and Barrage for 40 minutes then. I assume Str and Ranged would take me about a month together (taking into account how much ill be able to play), so i can squeeze an extra 1k or so crims out of that.

Well, the problem with my friends are that they very...weird... My two best friends,, i'll use them to explain what i mean. One of them is the ultimate ladies-man. He can strike up a conversation with anyone he wants to. He's the one that always encouraged me to talk to girls when i felt a bit shy. He's also the one that told me that in order to get the girl, you need to be a total douche. Treat them like they're nothing special. A hot girl is used to guys hitting on her. So when i come along and treat her like she's nothing special, she's going to wonder what she's doing wrong (or why i'm not all over her like the other guys). This actually works very well. I remember a night where one of the guy's here at school had a party at his house, and his ex was there. She was hitting on me for most of the night, and i showed little interest in her. The more i ignored her, the more flirtatious she got. My friend noticed and he commented on what a good job i was doing with her. Little did he know that i actually just didn't want anything to do with her, but that's another matter. The other friend is a lot like me in a certain way. He's not exactly great with girls either. He has a big problem approaching them but once the conversation has started, he's really good at keeping it going. So he always needs a wingman to just help him open up the conversation. The problem with this is that i always had to be the one to wingman for him, and this is where trouble started because sometimes we'd both be interested in the same girl, but because i had less of a problem talking to the girls, i would usually have the upper hand in the situation. I remember a week or two ago this happened, and he told me i was getting greedy with girls. I should take it easy. He got a bit pissed at me that night and the following morning we talked about it and he told me that he sees a lot of change in me as soon as girls are around. I'm a nice guy when it's just the guys, but when a girl comes into play, i get ruthless. He gave me a "with all due respect" speech that day, saying that as much as he loves me he really hopes i get my ass kicked by a girl one day because what i am doing is not right. I admit, i have been omitting a lot when it comes to my future, when talking to the last 3 girls i met. I know damn well that my time in the US is very limited and that the only way i'll come back here is when it is on the job, but i've made it seem like theres a possibility for me to stay much longer. The reason i've done that is because girls here don't want one night stands, they want boyfriends. Then as for what Randox was saying. Option 2 was really something i've been thinking about a lot. i've been thinking about it for about 3 months now (actually started thinking about it before i met Claire). But the problem with staying in the States is that the silences i'm getting at the moment are European. They are worth nothing in the US. I can always shell out another $15 000 to convert them to American, but then i have to apply for a Greencard or something, and even then it's going to be hard to find a good job. Regional Airline Pilots in the states are paid not much more than the average buss driver, and regional is where i would have to start. Then the other problem is the place where i live. I feel like if i have to live here for another year, i'm going to end up killing myself. This place is not for me, and i feel like a lot of what's been going on inside my head is because of this place. There's so little to do here that you're almost forced to think about stupid, needless stuff the whole day. And then as for the whole long-distance thing. No.... There's no way, ever. I think what i'm going to do now, for the next few weeks at least, is just focus on my school. After all, that is what i am out here to do. Finish it up and that's it. I'm going to try and cut off my connections with the other girls, and just see where things go with me and Claire. I know there's something there. I just need to get my shit straight.

Managed to get reach my two 2x Exp Weekend goals. Very happy with this :D
