  1. Yes Den, I believe we have. However, I'm not going to go digging now, sorry.
  2. If Botany Bay isn't naming and shaming...
  3. Well, we'll see what comes of this. It will be interesting to watch...
  4. I'm pure f2p, and I have plenty of space for all my stuff, so no thanks for buying extra bank space.
  5. It'll be interesting to see the effect of the tweaks to Runespan on the experience point rates there.
  6. I believe I can make out "Mod Etch." Is that correct?
  7. For a short period of time, you were able to report people with offensive names without them needing to talk. However, for some reason not even a JMod could tell me, it was switched back. However, there are other ways of reporting offensive usernames.
  8. The best hope to knock off that penalty would be with the upcoming EoC update. P.S. There is no sharp cut off at level 90! It falls off slowly as average party combat level increases. I would love to post my image but I believe it it blocked with the new rules, but you can go here to find it. Basically Adjusted Prestige equates to experience.
  9. It was down for a while (see their Twitter page), but it's apparently back now.
  10. Yep. If Jagex were really committed to removing gambling from RuneScape they would have done something about the methods of gambling, like they did with the horse and dice. They don't even have to remove the items from the game, just: 1.) Divide the mithril flowers into different seeds for different colors. 2.) Take the random draw items and just make them repeat in succession instead of randomly. Like the Classic Cape will always go bar - arrow - etc. And none of this has any effect on the blackmarket dicing that takes place on IRC Not much you can do about that except make dicing against the rules, encourage players to report those advertising it. Getting rid of the in-game gambling would reduce a lot of the gambler's income, however. Hence there is a lobby and a ton of vehement argument against it when someone discusses taking these actions.
  11. Apparently, though, he is correct: "Some of you may already have noticed that we have started cleaning up the high scores over the last week...":-taken from [qfc]14-15-878-63948495[/qfc].
  12. I have made this point before, and people do not like hearing it. It's in the same vein as my friend who complained about bots even though he told me he was buying gold.
  13. I'm going to assume that the drops to 0 are errors in retrieving the data. Is that correct? Anyway, yes, it is either bot-banning or kicking players off the hiscores routinely.
  14. My friend had 200 orts almost immediately after the update, but I didn't ask how he was getting them. Maybe you guys should try killing things to get some.
  15. I understand that you are disappointed that I didn't use any real examples. However, the world is small, and even with anonymous descriptions of real clan interactions, it would not be difficult for people to see I was talking about them, and I wouldn't want them to take offense. I think an article with more details would indeed be more suitable if it were essentially made-up, like the fictional that was published. However, we'll have to agree to disagree, so to speak, on whether clans are an important part of the game. I'll illustrate with some numbers. You can quickly check the hiscores to see that there are about 110,000 clans with at least 5 people. That's almost as many clans as there are active people on the game at an average time. Furthermore, a fully 47,000 clans were created in 24 hours after the creation of clan camp and a quarter of a million players pledged allegiance to a clan in that time (source: Rs Wikia). As of now, there are 2,000 clans with 100+ members in them, making well over 200,000 players engaged in a fairly large group. In my opinion it seemed worthwhile considering it is such a large body of people, and not a disgrace to the Times as you have implied with your post. Finally, I'm not going to write my autobiography here, but whether you take my word for it or not, I am active RuneScape player. I have never quit and have no intentions of doing so in the foreseeable future. Arceus, are you sure that darthaddict wasn't referring to Calebchiam's article? 1. He compliments the two clan articles and says he understands the sentiments behind the articles. 2. He says the second article is bad, but goes on to say that "it's just some guy remembering before he quits." Well, Calebchiam's article is about someone remembering his time on RuneScape before he quits. It's pretty evident that darthaddict simply said "2nd article" when he meant "3rd article". That makes more sense. I guess he probably is :P, sorry.

  17. I'm still missing the staff. Argh!
  18. The prevailing theory seems to be a slow dump on the Grand Exchange in the same manner as items converted to cash via LootShare are.
  19. If I recall correctly, they named and shamed some people last year prior to the bot nuke. But I don't remember any other times at the moment.
  20. If you know something/someone who abused it, you are advised to post here: [qfc]15-16-449-63928262[/qfc].
  21. It was supposed to end Sunday night, but probably something glitched and it's postponed to a system update sometime today.
  22. Arceus replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
She obviously doesn't realize that there are older people who play.
  23. The first few points seem to have been hidden, so it seems some moderator got the message, although it's still a shame it was plagiarized in the first place.
  24. It doesn't seem fair to me that you can be removed (and people such as the OP's friend have been removed) from the list for accidentally activating the free trial with one click, yet buying membership accidentally for a month is acceptable. Membership still yields you some benefits on F2P worlds, perhaps most notably 6 GE boxes instead of 2.
