I mean they're investing another $20 into the game, but yes it can be annoying. I think they're working on taking away left click options right now. Yeah they mentioned that they were removed as of today's patch notes :).

Yeah, he's around 20% and currently blotting out all other news. Probably as people get to know the other candidates and others drop out, someone will eventually pass him. It will be interesting to watch the debate Thursday...

I don't know what they were thinking in regards to Libya, but at least we didn't get into another full-scale war and start to wind down the ones we're in. Nonetheless American foreign policy does still leave a lot to be desired in my eyes.

Although here in the US people largely care about the presidential campaign. I personally believe that every president will do roughly the same policies as any other person so the individual doesn't matter. I really don't think that's the case..I can imagine us being in several more military endeavors (to put it lightly) if McCain had won 7 years ago, for example.

  11. Hello! Welcome back to RuneScape and welcome to TIF. There is plenty of stuff to do, in particularly some new quests and Plague's End which unlocks the whole skilling area of Prifddinas - thought that may require a few more levels on top of what you have. It takes level 75 in a whole bunch of skills, along with some prerequisites, but it may be a good thing to work towards for its many benefits. In terms of your gear, stuff is rather standardized now. Bandos armour remains the highest tier of nondegradable armour and is suitable for most purposes along the lines of Slayer or other combat. The ranged and magic versions are Armadyl and Subjugation, and are probably good to work towards as you get more cash. Royal d'hide is a cheap set for Ranged which is level 65, so it has the same defensive stats as Armadyl but no offensive bonuses. For magic, batwing/grolific are possible alternatives. In terms of a weapon, defenders are unfortunately rendered more or less useless outside nostalgia value. I would strongly suggest you use either a two-handed weapon (bandos godsword being the cheapest I believe) or dual wield. If you have Korasi's sword, you can pair it with Jessika's > Enhanced Excalibur > Off-hand dragon battleaxe, in that order of preference, unless I missed something. For Ranged you could get demon slayer's or karil's pistol c'bows, or salamanders as another option. For magic with one more level you can unlock an abyssal wand & orb, and use a staff of light for now. Those should be relatively affordable. One more note, make sure not to cross combat classes as that doesn't fly with EoC. In other words, don't mage in d'hide or you will (as a rough guideline) just splash all the time. Hopefully that helps you get a start :).
  12. Nice start, ultimate ironman sounds like quite the challenge, on F2P for now no less! :)
  13. Arceus replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Okay, but the argument you linked happened because people with your mentality don't listen when something challenges your preconceptions :v What do you mean? Sweeping statements about why an entire demographic could do to be happy, while ignoring what they say makes them unhappy, not doing the research on it yourself because it might make you unhappy, and enforcing labels that simply are not adequate... which is part of what makes people in that demographic unhappy. Sort of the same vibe I get from a lot of religious speakers; it feels like it's more about validating your own happiness than it it about helping other people find theirs. Also I'll take notes on passenger demographics next time I have to fly down to Arizona. Would the fact that it's the southwest skew the results, and will they even let me take a pencil on the plane? I'm pretty sure those are more dangerous than bottled water, after all. As long as you don't put too fine a point on that observation in front of say, the TSA officer at the security checkpoint, I think you'll be fine :-D.
  14. That and isn't blood rune running via the Abyss the fastest RC exp method now? It is indeed, but it's probably going to take a while (if ever) to convert people from afk and easy runespan to clicking and running like hell for running runes :-D.

  16. GOP

Arceus replied to Hajutze's topic in Help and Advice
You only need 3 other people to play a GOP game, so maybe ask a few friends or make an RSOF thread to find some people? Unfortunately I'm not sure of a group where people do the task together, but it should be doable. Sadly I don't have 50 Runecrafting so I can't do it :(. I don't know if people play it much during the minigame spotlight, but its turn does not seem to be for a while either.
  17. You know if the spells unlocked were something truly useful, and maybe they buffed up XP a bit, it might be slightly less annoying. Like maybe if you could give yourself some sort of boost like bonfires for casting a spell that stacks on top of everything else that already exists...there must be something they can improve or add.
  18. Somehow I don't think Ninjas would do TB - The ones ninjas would do are the ones that need some little touches to spruce them up, smooth out gameplay and make them eoc friendly and rewarding. TB is like a quagmire of wrong that needs to be redone from the ground up. Sorry, by TB are you referring to Trouble Brewing or something else? I assume you meant to quote the post above me :P.
  19. Welcome to TIF! There are a few other people here who are in Seattle as well...think they may stick mostly to Off-Topic though :P.
  20. I think that was the point - he was being sarcastic. But if you really want to push things, technically, I guess the argument is there. And while you are no longer forced to complete the quests to use those skills, they do provide a good introduction for a newer player.

  23. I don't know, postponed indefinitely as usual? There's a little in the BTS video:
  24. Cheers for them improving Fist of Guthix - hopefully it can get some more people interested in the game by making its rewards a little more useful. Though if anyone had been stockpiling coifs, I guess they're about to take a big loss :P.
