Player-Owned House Improvements

Make your home truly your own with today's player-owned house improvements.

First and foremost, we've broken down the house style options to give you more freedom to determine how your house looks.

Where you could previously choose just one style, you can now independently decide on four different elements:

  • House structure:
    • Basic wood
    • Basic stone
    • Whitewashed stone
    • Fremennik-style wood
    • Tropical wood
    • Fancy stone
    • Dark stone
  • Grounds:
    • Rough grass
    • Mown grass
    • Desert
    • Barren earth
    • Tundra
  • Dungeon:
    • Rough stone
    • Smooth stone
    • Desert
    • Mountain mine
    • Tropical cave
    • Stone blocks
  • Lighting:
    • Day
    • Dusk
    • Night

You can change all of these by speaking to any Estate Agent, or by right-clicking him and choosing the appropriate menu option.

We've also made a batch of tweaks and fixes to make your RuneScape home life more convenient and enjoyable:

  • When attempting to build a second Aquarium or Games Room, you are now prompted to move your existing one. You are charged as normal for creating the new room.
  • Loading times have been improved when you leave and re-enter your player-owned house in the same log-in session.
  • Sir Renitee's chat has been streamlined.
  • Building mode can be toggled via a right-click option on the house's exit portal.
Priffdinas Fixes & Tweaks

There's a bumper batch of improvements and bug fixes for Priffdinas today, too.

Permanent dark crystals and Max Guild portal changes as rewards from Morvran's challenge are particular highlights of this update, as well as numerous usability tweaks to make your time in Prifddinas all the more fun.

See the patch notes for full details!

Magic and ranged creatures in the Fight Kiln are now more resistant to magic damage. - So much for ezpz Mage kiln

Making burial armour will now correctly increase the XP for the first item made after instructions change.- of course they do this right after I finish 90 Smithing.

Shadow core challenges will no longer be issued as a Divination daily challenge. - finally

  • The option that is activated by left clicking the summoning button on the top level UI (found on the action bar for EOC users and the minimap for Legacy users) now has three separate settings: one each for familiars, pets and legendary pets. The "pet" option is the configuration for any non-Legendary pet. This feature means it is easier to swap between a trusty pack yak and a companion pal without having to re-configure the button each time.

Finally! I hated having to reset take-bob as left-click option after every time i summoned the clan avatar...

It's nice to see my favourite skill get a little attention, though this is a far cry from the rework that construction desperately needs, unless they fixed all the bugs while I wasn't looking. Not even a rework, but just all the stupid stuff where they didn't take an extra week to give the assets a good polish. I'd love the skill to be reworked, but I'd also love for it to not be 95% complete too. This brings it up to 97% I'd say :P

What the skill needs the most, imo, is being able to move rooms without having to destroy them (which a few of them do)

For the slayer challenge?

Not possible - first and foremost the challenge is to kill 9 specified bosses and bring all owned crystals to each subsequent kill.

Secondly even if the challenge was JUST collect the crystals it wouldnt work as they are different items - in the challenge you gather dark crystals the perma reward items are black crystals.

Yeah, they should be hotfixing bloom tomorrow.  I'd thought you'd enjoy the night mode smuggle Blutters.

Just a PSA they are going to keep the day light bug and possibly add a toggle or some king of shift between the two.

Also off the back of this day/night cycle and weather cycles have been bumped up priority lists. One team might be looking to do one of them in some free time, day/night cycle being the more likely based on strawpoll.

It is still up in the air though whether it'd be a 'pick your light level' or a literally time cycle of lighting that'd run in the background.
