I'm excited for the charm sprite update, ever since they updated tree graphics charm sprites were nearly impossible. I'm hoping we get to unlock a pet slithtils after enough catches, and graphical upgrades to the stick as well.

I currently have 64 chi, completed scrolls for both ss legs and top, and have not yet done the occultist final mission for 35 (merchant+fots) chi. Should I make the robe legs or save up and make the top? I do not intend to sell ports armor until I have full sets for myself, so I will be making superior pieces.

Unlocked pincers today and sent shambling lair out at 63%. Besides the oxheads, pincers stuff doesn't seem like much of an upgrade over bowl stuff. What are the priorities for upgrades? combat hull>rudder>crew>other stuff?

I would assume 1200/1200/1200/0, seeing as at level 10 they have a total of +100% base stats from level bonus. Is there a reason why they would be different? EDIT: Ninja'd

I'm also working towards armor scrolls, currently have seasinger top+legs complete and starting on death lotus legs. I got the scrimshaw scroll first when I still didn't know what I was doing, and I gathered the bones because I didn't have any better missions to send out (I've barely had any trade good missions, and only 68% through bowl so I have a while to go until I get enough trade goods to make anything). I guess I will be saving the bones for a vampyrism/cruelty scrimshaw when I get the scrolls, though that isn't going to happen until after I get death lotus legs completed. I cannot get enough plates to warrant getting tetsu scrolls at this time, and I also don't have the smithing level to do anything with plates once I get them so they are low priority. I also cannot get many lacquer because my thieving is low, but once I finish the assassin storyline I will be close enough to 60 to warrant getting the leg scrolls. Thanks for the advice

I recently got enough ancient bones from POP to make a scrimshaw, but the only one I have the scroll for is Gem-Finding. Is it worth making one, or should I save the bones for a different scrimshaw? If I should save the bones, which scrimshaw scroll should I start working towards? And if I make a Gem-Finding, should I make a superior to use myself or a tradable one to sell?

I thought fortune of the sea is +10% reward if you succeed but +10% to repair cost if the mission fails and resources are taken for immediate repairs.

I can attest to the fact that this does not work, ever since recruitment drive I have kept my char as female and my luck situation hasn't changed (except for a few royal crossbow pieces, but by then their value was low enough that they didn't count). I'm stuck in the same situation as you, no matter what I kill I never get the rare drops. What can I say? The RNG hates us, and no elder weapon is powerful enough to defeat it.

Couldn't the OP use karil's mainhand pistol crossbow, or is it not worth it due to the cost? (This is assuming he uses abilities constantly and thus doesn't have to pay for a lot of bolt racks).

I really like the look of the dungeon, it reminds me of the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time. Whenever I run into something like that I always feel calm/content and happy, even where it doesn't really fit with the feel of the story (like the dungeon of Nomad's Requiem). The fact that people can play through this quest and not be majorly confused/spoiled for previous quests makes me think that any connections to current grandmaster storylines will be small appearances that will be nice for the people who did the other quests, but will be glossed over without any feeling of holes by those who didn't. Will the new abilities be unlocked by playing through the quest, or are they just being released at around the same time?

Forgot to specify I was asking only about the items with a 100k+ price tag, I have practically everything else. I doubt I'll get shields because I don't usually boss much, and when I do I try not to be the tank. I'll probably get the staff, thanks for the advice.

I once again have 200k Dg tokens, and I'm not sure what to get this time (preferably not xp). I already have the following: Rapier (pre-EoC purchase) Maul Dual CCBs Farseer kiteshield (fashionscape) I'm currently debating between a CLS, to go with the fks, a mainhand claw to replace my vine whip for use with eee when I cba to slay with abilities, or a staff, to upgrade from my ABS. Which should should I get? Also, are the other shields useful for combat? Different question, only attaching to his topic since it also affects my decision: Is the eee still better than an offhand chaotic? Last time I checked was before the scaling rebalance, and then it had less accuracy but higher damage/tick when used with a fastest speed mainhand weapon.

Was playing Rs when suddenly this came up: I do not use the client, only the browser version and was able to continue playing without being logged out or anything. I have not clicked it, but have started a full computer scan with microsoft security essentials. I will change my password as soon as I get onto a different computer. Anything else I can do? (Do not say "Get better antivirus", that doesn't count as useful advice for dealing with the current problem)

That would be fun, especially if there is a quest that requires us to bounce back and forth, kind of the way the master sword works in LoZ ocarina of time. It also solves the problem of doing certain quests that need to happen in 169, like RoTM. It would require a lot of new stuff for the new year though.
