Today's achievements: [hide=92 Range] [/hide] [hide=3rd ship] 98% through the hook, This should speed my progress a bit.[/hide] [hide=79 Farming] [/hide] [hide=90 Woodcutting] [/hide] -
Helms, boots and gloves don't give any accuracy penalties for using a different style while rebalancing defence, so one thing you could do is swap those out for magic-based variants. Instead of getting a chaotic kiteshield, put those 200k tokens into a maul. With a 2handed weapon you will deal a lot more damage, meaning the fight will be shorter and you won't need as much food/prayer. If you pray protect/deflect melee Hok won't hit above 500, and as long as you avoid the lava tiles you shouldn't be in any danger of dying. For healing you should use rocktails, and ability-wise you should focus on using your thresholds instead of building up for an ultimate. Note: like Squab said, they recently buffed all monsters, so my post may be useless. Regardless, Good Luck!

Decided to go for a mainhand CCB, seeing as I already had the offhand and didn't feel like sacrificing a ton of DPS by using broad bolts. 1.9m xp later: -
Can I have a Cookie now? (Didn't actually read the whole thing, skimmed to the end letting the important bits jump out at me) Unspam: Are there any bosses that are crush-weak? If so then drygore maces may be the most expensive of the weapons.

Greater demons actually have a decent amount of hp, and go much faster if you use abilities. I usually only momentum tasks that have so little health that one ability takes down >60% of their hp, and only because I don't like to wait until I have more than one basic off cooldown before attacking the next monster.
-
I'm not really sure if they are necessary anymore, because AFAIK your max hit is the weapon/spell's damage+your level (strength, ranged, or magic), and this can be viewed in the equip screen. The only time you would really need a seperate calculator is if you are using momentum, and I think it applies a multiplier to all damage (so once it is figured out you can apply the calculation yourself).

Apologies if this counts as hijacking, but would the OP need to focus on each area to gain access to its story missions, or could he stay focused on a far region and get the missions for earlier regions? And would the reqs be the same as the focused area or the area the mission is usually found at?

Another nerve-wracking Jad task, but it ended in success! This fire cape, however, didn't even last me 30 minutes before it was lost. Hopefully when I get a kiln cape I'll have better luck preserving it. -
Are any of the runespan rewards worth obtaining?

If you have the points to spare you might want to get a Greater Runic Staff for the looks, and maybe a massive pouch if you craft actual runes. Otherwise nothing is worth getting. -

Over a year since my last fire cape, hopefully this one will stay with me more than 4 hours... -
Armadyl godsword has a chance of boosting your attack and strength stat by 1, up to +10% of your level (visible boost, doesn't stack with potions). Saradomin godsword has a chance of restoring a small amount of health and prayer. Bandos godsword has a chance of lowering the target's defence, (I think it is a visible change, affecting actual defence level, but am not sure). Zamorak godsword has a chance of stunning the target, not sure for how long though. The effects trigger on both auto-attacks and abilities, and happen pretty commonly, (not sure on exact percentage, but RuneWiki says 25%). A bgs is good if you are going to be fighting a creature with high defence for a while, (most things you use this on will be hit quite often anyway, so this is a niche-use item). An ags is good if you want to skimp on potions, but they are cheap so it isn't really worth using either. Sgs and zgs are both good for slayer tasks where you take a lot of damage, (the stuns from zgs should mean you get attacked less, although if creatures can attack through a stun then it is useless). The best would be an sgs, but if you decide against it go with the cheapest/coolest looking one.

Finally found a qbd setup that doesn't get me killed 70% of the time. Some loots: -
Wouldn't it be better to use two handed range and melee weapons for the damage boost on abilities?
-
If you have an herbicide (dungeoneering reward, costs 34k tokens) you can choose certain types of herbs to be destroyed upon receiving them as a drop, converting them to twice the xp you would gain for cleaning. Using it while you kill cave crawlers/chaos druids/aberrant spectres you will not need to bank as often if you keep all the herbs, and if you would normally clean and drop the undesirable ones you get slightly more xp.

Finished the Brink of Extinction and realized I was only 4k xp away, so I got this: Now my Dungeoneering cape has trim! -
Vyres are kind of weird ATM, they use magic and are weak to bolts, yet the only ranged weapon that can hit them is a blisterwood stake, which is a thrown weapon. And unlike the beta, wielding a blisterwood stake no longer allows your offhand weapon to damage them normally, so you would have to use a shield. Fire giants have decent lp and low defence, and use ranged and melee attacks so you don't have to worry too much about healing or accuracy penalties from wrong armor types while killing them. The resource dungeon in the baxtorian waterfall cave is a good place to camp them, usually when I go there to slay I'm the only one there. With regards to the Dg binds question, I think it is preferable to keep the hood.

6. Unless it was patched, vine whip+eee is slightly better dps than dual-CLS, although you should only dual-wield if you use momentum, due to the fact that abilities use only your mainhand weapon for calculating damage. Fire giants are slash weak, and don't deal too much damage, so you could bring a shield and cancel momentum once in a blue moon to use rejuvenate before re-momentuming. 7. For slayer I've found having a 2h slash, 2h crush, 2h cbow, crystal bow, and staff to be all I need. Dual-wielding just doesn't do enough damage to warrant using. (Haven't had any stab-weak tasks from Kuradal yet, I don't think they are common enough to warrant getting a specialized weapon for.) 8. I would imagine armored zombies would be weak to slash (rangers) and fire spells (meleers). I don't know how the salve amulet works post-EoC, so I can't help you there. Due to requiring two styles for fast killspeed, I doubt they are worthwhile for training. 9. Blood necklace adds crit for all styles, so it's worth swapping out the robe bottom for. (Having both top and legs is overkill in the defence department anyway.)
-
It will take you more than one minute to kill enough creatures to get that extra 10%.
-
From my experience post EoC having body and legs on at the same time gives me too much def, and I can survive easily with just a plate. If you use only one style you will take a long time to kill anything you are not super-effective against, so it is recommended to have at least two styles in active binds, if not all three. I believe that it isn't harder to survive with only a hood than it was pre-EoC, though I may be wrong, l haven't really tried. Monsters die so quickly now that having a weapon bound to kill them faster is better than having armor to protect. So to answer your questions: Best binds are 2 weapons of different class and a protective item (hood/body), with a weapon if the third class if you are 90+ Dg (According to xp waste a melee weapon is less important and should be left out if you cannot use all three classes simultaneously). You will need more than one class on your active binds loadout. Do not stick with only one style. Armor is not terribly important, the choice of swapping it out for a third weapon is up to you. Platelegs in addition to a platebody is unnecessary. Apologies for rambling.

1. For range and melee, yes. For magic auto-attacks sneak in between abilities. 2. AFAIK, ultimates cannot be interrupted unless it says in the description it is a combo attack, so if it would only deal one hitsplat and you don't see anything you probably splashed. 3. It is better to repeat the floor above, though if the floor difference is less than 5 the xp difference isn't much. 4. To update the DGSweeper map you have to flash the map. 5. I have found that opening up graphics settings instantly drains my adrenaline, though there may be a faster way to do it. Hope this helps!

How do I check hardware management? I'm a noob when it comes to computers.
-
Recently my hard drive died and I had to replace it. When I reinstalled windows xp my computer said it did not have an Ethernet controller driver. Because I cannot connect to the Internet (am on a desktop so no wifi), I cannot let the computer search for the correct driver, and I don't know what network card I have. On the receipt I got a few years ago for buying the computer it says it is a "1G LAN OB" Where can I find the driver I need?
-
If you have super antifires and 70 agility blue dragons are good with a 2h cbow. I was killing them with one autoattack and one rapid-fire threshold.
-
I remember reading somewhere a few years ago on the KB that higher level bolts/arrows break less frequently. Was there any truth in it?

[hide=spoiler]Ellaron was zamorakian, and the zamorak wizards who left after the destruction of the first tower (pre-newest quest lore) became the ZMI. To access the abyss, the ZMI had to send an apprentice to the abyss to maintain the connection. Why didn't they just use the power beam, which performed the same function but without needing to sacrifice an apprentice?[/hide]
