  1. I can't think it'd have too big an impact on prices. More runes per run =/= more runes made overall. If say I need to do 5k natures for a level 12+9+6+3+24 = 54 per run = 93 runs. New pouch just means 18+12+9+6+3+23 = 72 per run = 70 runs. That won't really make rc a fast skill or a suddenly make it into a fast money maker, it just means you save runs and time off training it.
  2. Your privacy settings does not alter THEIRS. Your's being set to friends of friends means that's who can add you , not who you can add.
  3. Huh? Everybody will be a keyer now, just like in the current pro teams. ^This In my experience in pro teams the "keyer" just sort of becomes the one dealing with keeping everyone organised for gds and such via gate stones. Every spreads out, as much as possible dealing with skill doors and keys as and when they can, hence the importance of calling.
  4. In terms of most efficient combat the general rule is str>att>def. Better max damage (via str) adds the most to DPS Better accuracy (via attack) adds some to DPS but not as much as str. Then less damage taken (via defence) is just a small left over boon, because faster DPS and thus faster kills alongside armour stats does more for not needing food etc. than defence stat does. Of course there are some exceptions, but it works as a general rule.
  5. It's always been quiet. Which begs the question of if these errors and issues with entry have existed all this time and gone unfixed for whatever reason. There aren't any errors with the client and there's nothing to "fix". It's Win7's UAC being overprotective. But to indulge your line of thinking, a few years ago (before the second screen issue started/before win7 came out) it was still that quiet. So I disagree with your take on the situation. UAC certainly isn't an issue to 'fix' in the conventional sense but there's always the possibility of a clearer instruction to deal with it so that less tech savvy people are not flumoxed by it. Plus the UAC related error wasn't the only one posted in the thread so far which is where my questioning arose from, plus I assumed Vista UAC would've caused same issue as Win 7 since they have similar flaws which would make that issue a much longer standing one.

  7. Judging by this thread it is so quiet because a good 75% on users can't get it to load due to various errors
  8. First thing in the body of the quest guide for Troll Romance: "NOTE: As of January 31, 2012, those who have completed the Death Plateau quest before this date must complete the updated version to continue with this quest." After reqs/suggestions and before step 1.
  9. This would actually make more sense, considering how the current toolbelt works The difference I see: Surface world they don't want you to perma save a high value item, just have basic tools. Dg: They want the higher tier hatchets and pickaxes to be useful because currently they get entirely ignored as they are a waste of time to make and not worth binding. The issue of perma saving high value items doesn't apply either. Plus the overall wording implies a perma save to me: "First up, we’ve added a tool belt for use in Dungeoneering. Much like its surface world counterpart, this will automatically be filled with all basic tools, as well as a novite pickaxe and hatchet. You’ll also be able to add higher-level tools to your Dungeoneering tool belt when you find them, effectively allowing you to carry around the best pickaxes and hatchets you can without costing you inventory space." The bolded sentence implies they are saved since we have never been able to add items to a toolbelt that are later removed.
  10. ^Pretty much this, except it would be a farming tick specifically, not the game tick which happens much more frequently and does not impact farming cycles. After being grown plants that yield ongoing produce unless purposefully removed retain a farming tick which cause they to grow 1 fruit, berry, branch etc. up to the maximum they can yeild (so 6 for fruit trees). As Merciful right suggested getting 7 just means during your harvesting this tick passed and as the tree had less than 6 fruit it grew one meaning you ended up with 7 in total. Also questions belong in Help & Advice forum, not General Discussion.
  11. It on average takes slgithly less time than the grotto event actually and overall still is quite a bit faster than combat events, save graveyard and nail beasts. I never timed it but it felt longer than grotto to me, perhaps something to do with productive action.
  12. They both have a hint option but they both share the same hint and they only give hint to 1 of the 5 eggs.
  13. Overall a good method personally I opted for avoiding: Snakes - heavy damager and pita to get off the follower Snails - heavy damager and high defence so takes an age Bog - Takes sodding ages Morton - Takes a fair while Boat - Cutscene means it takes far too long. Also Smiddi I went for medium at lvl 60, easy wbecomes far to slow. But yeah other than that with path prediction go for the hard path first, if that is a naff event go for med, then if that is also naff I'll check easy then decide. Eg I'd rather do med snails than an easy bog. Just finished doing smiddi and rolayne tonight.
  14. I see an issue with the first image given the request size and you want an icon style: A side view of a car I assume you mean a profile image opposed to a realistic perspectived drawing given the size limits. Therefore this raise the question of the symbol on the bonnet, you can't SEE the bonnet in a side view.
  15. While anyone on an MMO would likely agree with those terms the loophole is the fact that in literal terms as seen by law and such as long as you get something you have 'won' it does not matter the value.
  16. Critical path and ggs placement actually have no relation with this update, thats going to be done as it was before. No people wont need to call when a key has been found because people just look to see when that key appears in their keybelt (unless its a click-to-view window rather than a popup that stays in the corner of your view.) But neither of the 2 matter because what will be affected is something that good dgers do their best in compacting their time-spent. Had you ran into a double key door path both relatively farther away from one another pre-update youd have to know how 2 be efficient with g8stone placement now those doors may very well turn into enter doors if people have access to the key-belt and theyre available. Lets not forget the need for memorization that will be dumbed down as having access to all obtained keys at any time will just decrease the # of key doors you have gated. Lets say youre spreeing north east corner and theres pcr pco bcr bp gor doors and the keyr had gor pco and pcr keys youd have to remember that gor pco pcr was what you needed to get and that bp and bcr was what you had to regate along with any other potential doors that you were to come across + knowing where to leave your gate based on the positioning of the doors, thats something a good dger would be able to handle but a derp wouldnt be able to mentally grasp in a fast pacesd mindstate prior to this update and would result in time-waste. Now in dumbeoneering both the good and bad dungeoneerers will be able to keep up with @Alg youre probably right but this is my conceited take as dungeoneering was one of the few things in rs that actually took intellectual skills, and probably still will be but the gap between good and bad has been narrowed They could give starting gp/more binds if they wanted to speed up dungeoneering and i would have been completely fine with that, but they one of the few fun factors it had to offer "Critical path and ggs placement actually have no relation with this update, thats going to be done as it was before." My point exactly, these skills which play a fairly substantially factor in floor times are unaltered. "No people wont need to call when a key has been found because people just look to see when that key appears in their keybelt (unless its a click-to-view window rather than a popup that stays in the corner of your view.)" This relies on a heavily speculative assumption, given how they specified a toolbelt the most logical assumption is that it will not differ from the toolbelt we have, why else call it such? Plus some form of pop-up perma view seems unlikely when you consider how vast such an interface would need to be. There's what like 6 shapes and 6 colours? That's 36 keys. Even if by some random twist Jagex used the DGS style abbreviations 36 separate items would take up a lot of space. Though of course it could be just for keys currently owned, but that could still take up a fair amount of space considering how many keys can be in play at any one time. "Lets say youre spreeing north east corner and theres pcr pco bcr bp gor doors and the keyr had gor pco and pcr keys youd have to remember that gor pco pcr was what you needed to get and that bp and bcr was what you had to regate along with any other potential doors that you were to come across + knowing where to leave your gate based on the positioning of the doors, thats something a good dger would be able to handle but a derp wouldnt be able to mentally grasp in a fast pacesd mindstate prior to this update and would result in time-waste." This skill will still be necessary as doors will still need to be gated. It will be a lesser factor, but a factor none the less, because there are still going to be doors discovered with no matching key currently found. To my mind logic still dictates that whatever benefit is to be reaped from this reward will benefit ALL dgers equally and that in all likelihood good dgers will find ways to use it better than bad ones. It is an odd logic to assume that an update that allows for quicker floors will some how enable people who are not good at current methods to suddenly reap huge speed increases while those good at dg won't. Aside from the learning phase we all must go through with dg logical the better dgers will still be better and therefore be able to improve them times by the same amount or more than the bad dgers. As far as I can see any improvement this offers to bad dgers will be matched or bettered by gd dgers because there is no logical reason why bad dgers would be able to make greater use of the changes.
  17. Which doors you open when is the whole routing thing that DGS has some in-depth guides on and can dramatically alter floor times. It is about predicting how far a path will go and dealing with shorter paths first so that entire routes are made 'dead' to save gating/running back and forth across rooms/routes more than necessary. I said nothing about calling, I said it still stands as a necessity to gate and remember what key doors are where for keys not found when the door is. If you find a red triangle door and gate it as there is no key you still need to remember that is where your gate is and need a call when the key is found etc. I fail to see logic how bad dgers can benefit more from this, they get the exact same benefit as gd dgers. And gd dgers by definition will put it to better use. Sure it'll speed up learning due to less to learn in terms of keying but in established dgers a good dger should still be able to make better use of the changes to squash floor times than a bad dger. In the same way current methods someone doing it badly will still take longer.
  18. I fail to see how this does that much to aid people in doing faster floors if they lack the methods. The skill in routing which doors you open when still stands. Gating skill doors still stands. Gating/recalling key doors with un-found key still stands. All this does is make the relatively minor tweaks that gating to swap keys is un-needed and finding gp for a toolkit is un-needed. Sure it will knock a few minutes off a large floor, but it is not going to get bad dgers anywhere near the speed of good dgers. Even if things were equal it just means everyone will be x minutes faster per floor, so the good dgers still have just as much of an upper hand. In reality whereby good dgers will make better use of it it means good dgers will probably end up further ahead, eg bad dgers will be x minutes faster but gd dgers will be 1.5*x faster.
  19. Feathers is a given with the whole items can't be consumed off the toolbelt. Vial could go either way in my book. Though *if* it is on there it'll be for skill doors only and not for pot making no doubt.
  20. 1 annoyance I have with dg toolbelt: Gonna have to do a truck load of C6 abandoned floors to get primal pick and hatchet on it.
  21. Lmao. You mean I wasn't getting my extra 1.1% all this time? Damnit ! Sucks if you wore it that way round! Personally I just wore the suit, seeing as the varrock double ore effect works on the gold suit body and that way the set matches.
  22. It's not restricted to certain times. The eggs are there for the full two hours as a instance for each player and they remain there until you shoot them or the next hunt begins, no downtime. As for finding the eggs that's easy enough the locations get posted on rsof within about 10minutes of a new hunt starting & I'm sure some nice people might copy them to here, they seem to be contained to a relatively small area. They seem to go anywhere in the free world (excluding wildy other than dg area) then digsite area, but not over into mory. Also karamja but only free side and then jsut taverly and burthorpe area but not over white wolf. I done 3 hunts so far (required for maximum reward) 3 full hunts = permenant egg gun thingie 3 choco treats (via marshmaloowing eggs) for chocolate egg on face mask 3 durmsticks (via scotchegging eggs) for egg on face mask. [hide=Rewards] Eggsterminator 3.6kg Standard attack rate Scotch Egg or Marshmallow attack modes. Can Splatter any player Examine: "The Eggsterminator - This modified handcannon can fire scotch eggs or marshmallow. This version will (not) remain after the Easter Period." The not vanishes when you have done 3 full hunts and go get it enchanted, rest stays the same. Egg on face mask & Chocolate egg on face mask 0.3kg Exame "You've got egg on your face." All have 0 stats. [/hide]
  23. Rc and Dg updates all sound nice! Starting floors should be a bit quicker too without the added cost of tool kits AND the ability to bind higher level picks and hatchets will make them handy, me thinks I might do some high-ish solos specifically to get promethium ones (until primal ones are happened upon), stackable resources also sounds sweet definitely makes armour grabbing at lower levels easier. The key thing is epic too, no more faffing around with gateing keys and such just go, go go.
