  1. I think it's just a carapace. makes me think bulbasaur plant growing on its back kinda setup
  2. If new pures don't count...then old pures don't count...so then isn't that a reason for Jagex to take off f2p accounts from high scores, they're mostly pures and bots? Hm. Seems logical to me. So, do pures count or not? ;) I don't believe it is. If the premise is "new" player, then a pure is basically the account of an existing player. You missed his point: The argument seems to be f2p is/was mostly bots and pures. If this is true then f2p is now mostly pures. Therefore are not all the OLD f2p accounts still merely pures of people who play members. And if pures don't matter as part of a live game why do they need to be on hiscores, thus rendering the point of if all f2p is pures why does it matter they not on hiscores?
  3. But which of those populations has the greatest concentration of rs players? Pure population isn't the main point here, it's sheer amount and location of rs players. And it ignores the fact of language barriers and international travel for a minor laws that restrict european travel. Plus international travel is more expensive than domestic. All of US can be traversed reasonably cheaply as its all domestic. Traversing europe is likely to cost more (unless you drive it but then petrol costs!) as its international travel. I mean we had a college trip to France/Belgium front lines staying in a youth hostle, 2 nights using the eurostar (on a coach) and we had to pay like £255 EACH and thats with college subsidising it as its educational.
  4. You say this like the wiki is "contributed too" by incompetent morons who fill out inaccurate facts and outright lies then get angry and put them back when someone corrects it.
  5. Selfish... perhaps. But then here in the UK we don't have TemleCon or Total Confusion or ConnCon, Intercon, Havoc, Vericon, Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) East, OGC, Huzzah, Carnage, DexCon, Fall In!, Historicon, I-CON, MEPACon, PrinceCon, UberCon, World Boardgaming Championships, Arcon, Council of Five Nations, Queen City Conquest, A&G Ohio, Bashcon, Con on the Cob, D&D Experience, Games Day, Gaming Hoopla, Gary Con, Geek.Kon, Gen Con, Marcon, Marmalade Dog, MichiCon, Origins Game Fair, Penguicon, PentaCon, StarCon, U-Con, WinterCon, Winter War, Wolfcon, Masquerade Society, Gamicon, Fields of Honor, Nuke, Con of the North, Gamer's Reunion, Bayou Wars, CharCon, Con Carolinas, DragonCon, Euro Quest (EQ), Heat of Battle, MACE, Mini MACE, MAGFest, MegaCon, Momocon, PeliCon, [southern Front], Stellarcon, SynDCon, Trinoc*con, Waterloo, Winter Activation Meeting (WAM), CoastCon, Hypericon, MidSouthCon, MOBICON, Tennessee Game Days, Chattacon, PlayOnCon, [gamecon Memphis], Texicon [1] General Gaming Convention, ScrewAttack Gaming Convention (SGC), BGG.CON, TrollCon, Phoenix Vul, GEEX Show, NeonCon, BlizzCon, DunDraCon, Celesticon, E For All, Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), GameStorm, Games Day, Gamex, Gateway, Kublacon, Enfilade, MineCon, Northwest Pinball and Gameroom Show, OrcCon, [Pacificon Game Expo], Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) Prime, RadCon, Science Fiction and Fandom Convention or Pasco... To summise mercifuls point: We, in the uk, have NOTHING for any sort of gaming, tech, tv, movie, genre or other franchise that holds a convention. USA has them all.
  6. Don't forget there are more locations for Americans to vote for (if they did vote for their closest venue) than for UK players. Still doesn't change much at a 5:1 ratio 5 votes between 3 choices means against uk means 2,2,1 on American vs 1 on uk Which would still give a population based advantage to us places.
  7. Sure some might, but you have to factor in its a £3 a month of membership game played primarily by teenagers/young adults most can't afford to travel to America; heck most people I know can barely afford or can't afford to go to London as between stupidly high ticket costs, travel and accommodation it still racks up quite a bill.
  8. The thing with this is: Unless the poll answers get weighted and American location is bound to win just cause of population. ~300mil vs ~60mil means about 5:1 population ratio so get a REAL answer shuld really weight it so that 5 votes to the us answers is equal to 1 vote for uk since with 5 times larger population (and therefore presumably simialr ratio in rs population) they have a voting advantage.
  9. So not all that wrong then really. 1 percentage slightly off, 1 effect stated as a fixed amount rather than a percentage and 1 in the wording since increased defence essentially does the same job as damage reduction. Least they are all attached to a semi-correct effect and the rest of the info is pretty accurate. Still more accurate than half of what the kb claimed in its time!
  10. It's slightly misleading to say you get seeds based on what's planted; that implies plant x get seeds for x. You get seeds based on which jadinkos are presents and what they drop when hunted. But other than that yeah above is good advice for stocking up herb seeds for various jujus, it can also be a good idea to do 1 or 2 seeds collection with only igneous or cannibal jad attracted so you get 100% bush seeds as getting the various vines for the juju pots means swapping bush about. Trees and blossoms don't matter since Papa Mambo sells blossom seeds and tree seeds are cheap on ge.
  11. The screen grab you posted doesn't seem to be all that wrong, pretty much of all of it corresponds with better guides I've read and my small amount of time at Glacors
  12. Were you expecting anything less from the mass of plebs? Its still a step up in accuracy than the kb was!
  13. The one to keep an eye out for lately is theres a spate of .com.cm links So at a glance u see services.runescape.com and think its right but its actually services.[ScamSite] which is not right.
  14. No it would be 20k new members, if the HS is displaying properly. Yeah given that it only boots off f2pers, not paid members who don't play I'd assume: People already ranked it can re-order but it couldn't magically add un-ranked accounts into the empty spaces. Therefore players previously too low to get on the highscores log in and on logging out they are occupying the empty spaces as their hiscore data gets updated.
  15. Hard is ill advised as they die easy. But yeah jsut rush events, those 2 level up primarily from event completion xp rather than combat xp (event completion xp is higher for them compared to toehr 4)
  16. Because we are in rs2. Runescape HD was a major graphical update, but it wasn't a whole re-release of the game. Runetek 5 was jsut a large back end up date, as the 5 suggests the back end engine has had 4 prior incarnations that ended with fairly major changes. The only major re-incarnation the whole game has was rsc > rs2 in which the entire game was re-written from the ground up; literally. Everything the back end, the graphics, audio, quests, skills, maps, interfaces every single last element of the game was completely re-written in an essentially new game. Until the re-write the entire game from the ground up it won't be rs 3 as its just rs2 with updates strapped on. Sorry to say to you but they have mentioned what I said myself too a few years ago. If you download software (say bittorent) they are not only updating the version number when they rewrite whole the code, even whole OS versions (mac, windows) without the things you said have been updated. They update version number yes, but they have to do that so our computers know we don't have the latest version. The version number for rs2 started at 1 (well in the 0s if you count beta), version numbers is not the same thing as this is rs2 this is rs3. Its the version of rs2. Until they rewrite the entire game from the ground up and announced it as rs 3, it is not rs 3. By your logic a game like the Sims is on like the Sims 25 because each expansion pack constitutes a major update, but it doesn't its still only on the Sims 3; and its another example of version numbers at work. Different expansion packs jump you version number around so the game knows which updates to apply like base Game is 1.xxx, first expansion jumps to 2.xxx etc. Then updates/pathces take each game up a small bit eg 1.04>1.05 while 7.01>7.03 And to use you OS examples Windows 7 started on version 1. Just cause it reaches version 8 or 9 through updates doesn't make it Windows 8 or Windows 9 Sure some do major releases at smaller intervals and retain version numbers eg MAC OSX new releases retain version numbers and general jump like 10.4 > 10.5 and Android does the same, but the key thing is they release them as a new thing & its to do with their buisness model where rather than a full re-write each time (like windows does) they just do modifications to update and streamline their OS, so it s still a version of the original just re-packaged as a new major release. RS3 hasn't been released, so its RS2 version watever we are on now.
  17. My main issue with the new interfaces is why the smeg has a load of it been left unchanged? For example: Chat box has new scroll bar, yet friends list, clan cc etc all have the old brown one. Xp counter is in its old brown box. All the interior icons on skills, combat, the chats etc. all look wrong in their old brown. At the very least you'd expect them to of fixed all the front end interface up to same style, even if like bank etc. retained the old brown look (which kinda looks odd as well)

  19. Unless I'm mistaken, neither the optional wishlist for Rag and Bone Man, nor for Fur 'n' Seek give quest points. This would make them in all ways comparable to the Buyers and Cellars capers, as far as I can see. My main concern remains making it easier to note which capers have and have not been done, for those who use the database as a handy checklist. They do give QP, both are 1 qp for the quest 1 qp for the extra list.
  20. There is a key difference: All the ones currently split out award QP seperately. Buyers and Cellars only gives 1 qp for main quest, rest give no qp.
  21. If you are logging them "accurately", as you put it, you should have excel open/a notepad to note each drop in a new entry so counting takes care of itself as number of entry=number of kills
  22. Tbh crystal bows were never in-dated. From release they were so slow MSB was still a nicer choice. But yeah crossbows certainly top dog these days, the bolt effects etc make them awesome.
  23. However you can be piled by dragons and have ur kills stolen. CT and wildy are kinda equal, just slightly different pros & cons that balance out.
  24. The bane of my coding life was trying to make something scale width in css, Firefox liked width:100%. Opera read it but seemed to think 100%=50% Safari and IE just sort of imploded. Then trying to set a px size so thoose 2 worked Safari went to like EPIC SIDEWAYS SCROLLING, while IE was barely 300 wide. I don't think I ever did get it fully working.
  25. The tests deffo gotta play a part in final wpm Wizard of Oz I did worse than test rules, because the dated and oddly placed punctuation in wizard of oz made me keep stumbling to find the right keys; what don't help is continually moving from mac to windows so the punctuations moves around a bit.
