  1. In addition to this: This paragraph: n most combat events (see journey events), the level of the route will affect how many enemies will attack. When you guide the hardest (weakest) people you will generally meet 6 enemies at most combat events. For medium people you will generally meet 4 enemies. For easiest (strongest) people you will generally meet only 3 enemies. Still needs to be deleted it is NOT true since the update. This bit: During the trek, your companion will eat some of the food you gave them if they need to. If you want to know how much food your companion has left, simply trade him or her and check the amount of free inventory slots. As long as you don't teleport out of the game, all foods that were unused are automatically transferred to the next companion, so nothing goes to waste! Can update to mention they eat at 20% health, recent patch note confirmed this as it was mentioned they upped it from 10% to 20% to stop them getting koed This bit: Handling more events results in a better reward. This means that it is very hard to get a good reward when taking the easiest route, since you simply will not get many events. Dealing with a combat event is worth more than dealing with a non-combat event. The hard route is more likely to give the maximum rewards. You may get the maximum reward on the other routes too, but the chances are smaller simply because you will not face as many difficult events. Second sentence is wrong, A LOT of the time easier routes give MORE events now (my average easy runs have been like 5 events vs an average of 2 or 3 for hard) This bit: If your companion is attacked by an enemy other than a snail, you must kill the NPC as quickly as possible to save your companion. The special attack of a ddp(++) is extremely useful (except for juvinates of course, there you use rod of ivandis plus guthix balance). Snails, on the other hand, will target whomever attacked them last, so it is possible to draw them away from your companion. Needs rewording, recent path notes made it so if you attack something it will draw it off the companion. Under shade event: While you are walking through Mort'ton you can be attacked by a group of shades. Shades can be killed using any weapon. The gadderhammer is very effective, and the Salve amulet will improve your stats. Be prepared with your food; shades can hit hard and like to attack the person you are escorting. These shades drop remains which can be cremated in the usual manner for xp and rewards (see the Splitbark Armour activity guide.) On some routes there will be citizens in the houses, which, if you act quickly enough, can be saved, and will reward you by boosting your combat stats, healing your life points to full or restoring all your prayer points. "Some routes" for citizen is wrong; I have ALWAYS had citizens every single time. Somewhere in the guide (probably people section) there needs to be a paragraph explaining: Companions gain experience to level in two ways: fighting and event completion. For most companions allowing them to inflict as much damage as possible is the fastest way to level, however Smiddi Ryak and Rolayne Twickit are very poor fighters and (as per recent patch notes) receive greater experience for event completion in compensation for this. When levelling characters will skip early levels; starting at level 4 they will jump to 8,12 and finally 16 before starting to level 1 at a time (eg 17,18,19...) Much of this is duplicate of info here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/300241-temple-treking-burg-de-rott-updating-info/ That for seem reason has largely been ignored, but also a few new bits from recent patch notes etc.
  2. Lol someone failed to read the read me... It clearly says KEEP SUBMITTING, it'll just be a few days before they can act upon corrections; which in all honesty won't even touch mostof corrections posted since a good 80% or so are posted for a few days at the bare minimum before they get processed with a worryingly high amount being overlooked for months due to obscurity or w/e.
  3. Email validation will certainly knock out a few of the more amateur gold farming operations (eg those that can't generate fake emails) and atleast slow down the rest. The chat thing is the main thing though, and it is likely to have a bigger impact than you think. After all if the advertising in-game is being stiffled much more effectively it is going to shut down traffic to the sites; which in turn will probably cause a few to "go under" or give up as they aren't getting business. Step in the right direction for sure.
  4. okay Do you guys have an idea wich evil basterds did this? Given they replaced the tip.it homepage with their "advert" and usual waffle about what they "found" on the servers its pretty clear who did it.
  5. There never has been any official update day, its just par for the course that most come tues or weds by the natural ergonomics of processing an update in the space of a working week. Sat and sun are weekend so not then. thurs and fri are getting a bit late in the week if anything major crops up that needs fixing. mon is a bit early as unless the update is 100% ready to go on friday and they just store it over weekend theres bound to be last minute tweaks Tues is a good day as it gives time for last min tweaks and allows space if theres any post release issues Weds is a good day if minor issues delay it slightly.
  6. Because you can't stop it being done; it's an uncloseable loophole in the way mail protocols work
  7. What Niffilin said, though I will note while non of us are pro dgers by any means my clan (Legacy of Honour) has several members happy to help people learn group dging and help them get faster xp via doing low floors in teams. So I'm sure there are a few clans/groups out there that can help, but tears etc is definitely the more efficient way of doing it generally.
  8. MTK

Yeah as stated approval % is taken daily, but anything over like 90% is good as it makes virtually no difference to final amounts. After all each worker gets 5k a day to "spend" so 1% is only 50gp per worker, which "buys" pretty much nothing.
  9. This. Though I think more take it as Elite Enhanced Excalibur, since its from the elite diary; but yeah in-game its still just Enhanced Excalibur EEE vs EE just gives a way to differentiate the two.
  10. My clan (legacy of honour) is req free and very friendly, we don't run any official events but we do have some avid pvm players who will gladly hit places up. No big advert to post, still updating it atm, running purely via rs atm cause our forums kinda died; but we are looking to get them refreshed and active again.
  11. I doubt it; but even so once level drops you'd not be able to use scrolls or renew which wipes out a large part of usefulness.
  12. They only work for pickpocketing, nothing else. The lore idea being the gloves of silence make you're movements hidden or stealthy (eg silent) thus allowing you to pick a pocket without being caught, but of no benefit to any other form of thieving.
  13. The boots (all 3 pairs) are worth getting eventually, but at current market prices I wouldn't bother. They are bound to drop for the foreseeable future as the supply keeps growing, I doubt they'll stay much higher than 10mil given a year; after all they aren't all that rare the price is just high due to newness limiting supply. Heck I suspect they'll settle sub 5mil eventually.
  14. Look at the post above you I even posted the password in this thread so you can look it up yourself. But you can type any password in and get the account locked message once the account is locked, doesn't matter if its right or wrong; unless something got changed quite recently.
  15. seems like the mad pit to me as it mentioned wacky challenges to break bordem of agility courses and blates dominion tower teasers would show SOME sort of fighting/old quest boss
  16. I find this all quite unlikely. 1) We know jmods accounts can only be logged into from jagex HQ 2) Theres no videos of it 3) There NOTHING anywhere about runeHQ getting hacked, or locking down due to an attempted hack in response to the way this password was supposedly gotten. All there is, is this forum post with 1 gif animation that could easily be faked.
  17. Lol no. The rs client does not have some magical java installation, it uses the computers java same as anything that runs java. Your problem will be java is too advance for proper support in windows xp now, that OS is a decade old afterall. Mac's issue is java still has compatibility issues.
  18. Yeah rocks do vary a lot, but certain methods do offer better rates in general than others. eg Most people recommend monkfish for fishing rocks as it is very rare to even finish 2 inventories before you get both rocks, but all cage and net fish are fairly quick.
  19. windows xp is your problem. To OP as several people have said java has issues on mac atm; no client is gonna help that because they all perform the same basic task of running the java app tht is runescape. Just gotta wait for java update.
  20. As it says right above the table it lists the methods known to give higher yeilds of rocks. Cage and nets get rocks much faster than harpoons etc most of the time.
  21. Fixed it.
  22. I never said there WAS an issue getting java, just is has compatibility issues still meaning it has quirks of mis-behaviour. Such as rs playing up, java webpages tend to lock up as well etc.
  23. Actually osx snow leopard and earlier java is intergrated into the mac os and mac handles its updates etc. os x lion onwards it does not include java so you have to go and get normal java. Both snow leopard and lion still have some issues with java, snow leopard due to being dated lion due to java not ironing out all compatibility issues as of yet.
  24. yeah prob shuld of said mine were all cheaper methods and methods that are known for giving fast rocks opposed to maximum xp.
  25. I also find this quite annoying as they fill up my bankspace - I choose to believe that it is some kind of bug, because anything else would just be stupid. Apparently this was intentional, to balance out the increased ease of killing and banking Vyre corpses. Also, the models of each corpse are designed to graphically match the type of vyre killed, hence why there are so many different types. The main reason is cosmetic so the wing colouring in particular matches the vyre killed; not seen any confirmation anywhere of it being to balance banking ease and this seems unlikely imo since vyres were never that far from a bank in the first place.
