  1. I don't think we will know for QBD until someone tries it. How it worked before and the fact it is a phased fight are of equal merit and exact opposites for how it would work after all.
  2. ^Tbf bob barter can magic massive numbers of vials out of thin air. If you get him to decant 4 doses > 1 doses > 4 doses he'll produce 3 vials per pot for 2gp a vial. Of course this does require having pots in the first instance so not exactly a way to spin profit, but it is a way to make em from nothing. 250k cheap 4 dose pots noted go see bob barter and you could have 750k vials + 250k pots in like 30 seconds. Also in terms of 'how do they get so many when it'd take x days' - they took x days to get them, maybe a bit less if they bought the vials packs from the 2 or 3 shops tht sell em.
  3. The multi account rules are essentially you can give yourself stuff and even play simultaneously if you desire. All that is disallowed is using multiple accounts to bypass or manipulate game mechanics. This means things like using both accounts to 'boost' minigames (eg using your alt to get wins on ur main for fight caves) Or using secondary accounts to bypass limitations - e.g. using an alt to get double the daily free sand or double the daily seaweed stock or bypass ge buy limits. Basically for any given activity look at it and ask is this something someone with just 1 account can do in the same timespan - if the answer is no you cannot use your alts to help you do it.
  4. That would be breaking the rules. Although they allow your accounts to interact now it still specifies this cannot be used to bypass or manipulate game mechanics. One such mechanic would be ge buy limits.
  5. Yeah chinning and barraging xp rates are awesome sauce in legacy, but thats a given since those methods call on using as many of the autoattack as possible and were previously done via momentum - which is basically a worse dps legacy mode. They are the exception rather than the rule though.
  6. It won a guaranteed content thing at Runefest so they developed it. Not to mention pretty much all of the hard-modes have been player requested. Players wanted a reason for higher levels to do mole - hard mode Players wanted the TWW Gwd bosses mechanics in real GWD - they made hard mode. Elite players wanted a more challenging vorago - they got hard mode People voted on the 'dragons den' at runefest and ba rework with hardmode won. I can't think of a single hard mode in-game we the players didn't ask for in some form or other.
  7. Crew is far more important to get than ship parts at first. Ship parts do add a bulk amount to your percentages sure, but once you get to later in the region you are still recruiting new crew their bad stats hold you back. Get crew first as even if you are failing voyages their stats are growing and improving your odds whilst you work on the ship pieces.
  8. So what I'm getting from that list is: Rare drops dealt with as unique drops are affected by RoW without affecting the rest of the drops. Rare drops, that though mostly unique, are just dealt with as rare items have the whole drop table affected aka some possible drops are lost.
  9. If you use the attack instruction on a combat familiar it should go and attack, but it won't keep fighting if your not in combat afaik.
  10. When revolution exists and still gives better dps than legacy being lazy is no excuse to use legacy. Especially since revolution already had a good few months for you to get setup prior to legacy.
  11. I've heard that before and I still haven't had any issues with mine. *Knocks on wood*. I've heard that too from a few sources and equally haven't had any issues with mine. Got razer keyboard and mouse for my super duper desktop around 6 or 7 years ago now and not a single issue to date, they out lasted a few hdds and are doing far better than my 2010 macbook.
  12. ^I'd agree with that it sounds like you get ONE prize a day no matter what. An xp lamp consolation prize if you lose. The listed item if you win. Playing extra tickets just gives you better odds of winning.
  13. I assume he means more stuff you can buy in Solomon's, overrides from the two world events we've had, etc. - all cosmetic things. Indeed Maces have just the one override - the brutal club. Rapiers have a couple - brutal rapier, jousting lance Longs have lots - pactbreaker longswords, brutal longswords, aurora longswords, assassin scimatars, owens swords, paladin swords
  14. The idea that a wireless mouse can work without any sort of receiver or special hardware is kinda ludicrous, despite what nexxtech might claim this mouse can do. It has to communicate somehow - infrared, bluetooth, wifi, mobile data watever it HAS to, there is literally no way a computer can know wtf a mouse is doing if it isn't connected via some sort of radio transmission. If it doesn't come with a receiver to plug in and the computer doesn't natively have a receiver for what ever it is trying to transmit it can't magically connect - simple as. Having done a quick google of this brand and wireless mice every page I find about it falls into one of two categories: 1) It mentions a nano receiver to plug in 2) People can't get it to work So I'd say its pretty safe to say it basically needs a nano receiver to work and the ones that don't come with it require the computer to have it already, but they fail to properly explain this leading to the mass of 'I can't get it to work' out there. In all honesty I'd say ditch it and get a known brand - there's plenty that come nice and cheap and are more widely known and work just fine. Heck for the kinda price you mentioned could go the whole hog and get one of the lower spec Razer products and they are nice solid well known top end brand.
  15. See I don't really by that as a viable reasoning. If you cared about helping to spread information truly, you'd care about the formatting - it is a big part of readability and thus the ease with which the information is transmitted. Information isn't transmitted purely by the raw words, it is about the presentation that helps or hinders people in scanning and absorbing the information. Plus I highly doubt you don't do it for the status/prestige in part, what other reason could there be for using your phone whilst out/at work to copy and paste news posts to the forum the instant they appear regardless of the formatting that hinders readability? It's not like if you don't do it no-one else will, but it is rather likely someone better placed, say at a desktop, would get their post up faster with decent formatting than someone trying to grapple with it on a mobile device given the chance. I do not think a single person whoever participates in the rush to be the one to post the news to this forum can ever truthfully say part of is not about the prestige of being first - if you didn't care you wouldn't be bothered to rush with it and we certainly wouldn't see the mild bickerings/flamings that arise on the odd occasion more than person posts it and heaven forbid a mod accidentally lock the one posted 3 seconds earlier.
  16. Does it matter as long as people can read it? oImho it does as it makes it soo much better to read. I'd agree here. Some people are too caught up in the supposed prestige of posting it quickly and just slap any old mess on to the forums. But frankly we are all capable of reading it on Jagex's website and their forums, it's not like is performing a great service or bringing us secret knowledge to get it up here fast. I'd much rather see posts appear here slower and have them formatted nicely, ensuring they are easy to read for those who don't bother with the main site than see people slapping up any old mess for the sake of 'oh em gee I posted first'; especially since such poor formatting in any post other than a copy & paste from Jagex would likely get locked/warned for being borderline spammy thanks to lack of effort.
  17. For me its a debate: Save tickets for the good days in hopes of winning big or entering at least 1 ticket a day so that i get 1 xp lamp a day at worst.
  18. Death Touched are probably a better prize to aim for than the gp pay out in terms of making the gps. 200* more likely to get them and then you got 3 shots at Nex or KK (could do others, but they seem the best bets) for 0 effort valuable drops. As already demonstrated in this thread I fully expect to see mountains of rants from people who try to deathtouch the reaper comp req without reading first.
  19. In terms of maximum rates soloing I always find c2 smalls for the rush floors most effective. The xp rates you get for a c6 small at those levels isn't worth the extra minutes. As for the higher floors its all about learning the tricks to dungeon efficiently - e.g. how to path and gate, what potion you bind, the tricks for various puzzles. I wouldn't say I'm really all that good of a dger but my c6 meds I average around 12-13 minutes, with the odd floor straying close to 20mins if I'm unfocussed or bad luck in terms of paths and gd room spawns. Each floor nets me around 50-70k xp before you add in any bonus xp etc. So yeah thats a solid 200-250k xp an hour soloing pre-bonus xp. And of course as other advised sinkholes are a god send. You can do both your daily sinkholes in one run (exit and immediately re-enter) and they only take ~15 mins for what can be a awfully good wedge of xp. The beauty of sinkholes as well is you don't even have to do that well in them to come out a winner - the placement of the 2-5th place chests is pure random and all 5 chests are shiftable with the right cards. Of all the places only 5th has any real negatives to it, simply because of theft exposure thanks to thieving locust being able to take you prize at all turns. Where as other roles just have 1 turn of mantis, 1 turn of leech and the across the board risks of smoke devil and phoenix.
  20. T80 weapons are powerful enough that you can ignore the minor weaknesses (stab, slash, crush) T90 weapons are powerful enough that you can ignore the major weaknesses (melee, ranged, mage), other than monsters with purposefully over-blown weakness/defence (gano and asc) Whatever set you buy will destroy anything so it really doesn't matter. Rapiers because more is stab weak will have literally no impact on your overall dps. It's all so nonsense to even mention bosses in this context since they all fall into the 'no weakness' grouping. The only preference I've ever known to exist is longs because price & better override options = prestige.
  21. I have like 100 bank spaces free and my bank isn't even particularly clean (and I have no bank boosters other than the free one) - I can't see a few new potions being a big issue.
  22. They did think of it. There was a whole thread about it on the RSOF for several weeks after the poll. Ultimately it was decided it was not workable whilst keeping the combat triangle reasonably balanced because it would require applying some sort of "ammo" esque cost to all melee weapons. Even then it wouldn't be exactly balanced though given it'd force degrade onto low level melee items, and double-rate degrade on to high end. Meanwhile ranged would be out of kilter thanks to ammo saving mechanics. Not to mention rune costs on combat spells were reduced in the first place precisely because mage was overly expensive compared to other styles.
  23. Ana said that their graphics person is on holiday at the moment, and they don't want to do the second stage of the skill capes polling until ninja team can provide some artwork to show what it would look like. I don't remember where exactly she said it, I'll try to track that down. So on holiday that they managed to release brand new capes with brand new graphics and brand new emotes that probably went into dev after the poll where skill capes won finished #logic
  24. I'm kinda 'eh' on the fact these new expert cape thingies are rare shard drops from skilling at level 99. Seems like its just an arbitrary thing to grind aimlessly at, especially since it wouldn't surprise me if they made expert capes part of comp instead of just 99s. I mean the mechanic overall sounds alright, but I think they either need to be rare shards that can be gained from ~90-92 onwards OR reasonably easy to get lvl 99 only. Rare at gainable at 99 only just sounds like a royal pita.
  25. I'd say rather than trying to make a hiscore tracker, to begin with just aim to make a manual hiscore grabber. It is much simpler, but it is also a necessary first step. Once you have the grabber you can work on making it automatically grab data every so often. Once that is working you can work on making it store historic data sets - the information needed for tracking. Once that is done you can work on the front end/gui to turn that data into graphs or w/e you desire.
