  1. If we are counting only ones Jagex doesn't deem ended, off the top of my head: Elves Pirates Gnomes Monkeys Penguins Myreque Azzandra Sliske Dragonkin Temple Knights Desert/Ozan Owen Elder Gods Gods Elder Artefacts (kinda ties in to the two above, but it is sort of a story of its own) Hazeel Kharshi Khazard and Zemergoul kind of semi sort of how open ends to them. And thats all I got for now, but I feel I've forgot something obvious. Edit: Elemental workshop! Thats the one I was forgetting.
  2. I'll give you this one. The vague quest scripting, unexplored plot points, buggy doors, largely empty boss instance. Yes, this one rare time I am agreeing with you on the shortcomings of jagex. This quest deserved more work... Way more work, The thing that strikes me is as a whole it's not a bad quest when viewed as a standalone entity. It just isn't good enough to be deemed a grandmaster story concluding quest, especially with the number of loose ends left.
  3. Apart from they didn't. In terms of items that exist in other metals we still lack: Dragon shortswords Dragon hastae Dragon knives Dragon javelins Dragon brutal arrows And Dragon Battlestaff is an entire new invention that does not exist in any other metal.
  4. Mod John A made a thread on RSOF asking for ideas for post quest dialogues etc to be added, seems they are aware this is rather lackluster in place. [qfc]15-16-534-65171325[/qfc] My post there, much in the vein of what I said I disliked about the story earlier:
  5. Get better at hiding, not much else to be said really. You just gotta work ur way across the island using things tht provide coverage.
  6. Definitely could not agree more it didn't even really resolve most of the stuff it did 'finish' in a decent way. The big villain of the whole thing it transpires did it all because Zamorak AND at some point between attacking us last quest and now just gave up on his whole evil plot so it didn't have to be explained. They drop the idea of restoring Hilda's memories 'later' only to completely ignore it, they have you pick whether to exile forgive or kill the 'spies' with seemingly no later effect/mention, Grimmson realises he had done wrong but instead of making the plot interesting and repenting just goes yolo I'll kill you anyway. The gnomes failed to be explained, as did the dworges and giants and the whole finale of consortium vs monarchy and settling the future was really underplayed. The story was nice, but very subpar compared to recent quests especially for a grandmaster finale that was supposed to tie everything off in a neat ending. Not to mention you can tell they spent the graphical budget on reskinning dwarf npcs what with the quest locations using a bunch of pre-existing places with no changes, plus a clone of the lava flow mine with minor alterations and a clone of the palace.
  7. Every confirmation I've ever seen is that it ceases to function when you go f2p.
  8. It's quite short really, it all hinges on how much trouble you have with the combat portions. But with guides and tactics now circulating it shouldn't be too hard to get through em.
  9. Yes a reward of the quest is the ability to freeze and mine lava geysers. The geysers are what give the parts. No quest = no geysers = no parts = no pick
  10. As I understand it 1 geyser = fully recharged. So with an ongoing fc and slower geyser deaths due to craze dying down + lava flow mine not being awful xp (even if not the best) it doesn't seem like it'd necessarily be all that bad all told. Maybe not quite the best meta-game route, but certainly a feasible boon for use slightly sub-par folks who just wanna afk mine a bit but don't want to die of old age before we reach 99. Of course it does all hinge on how much extra xp that 20% gets you vs the time taken to recharge, but it does seem as if there is a possible margin there for it to be usable.
  11. It's kinda luck of the draw. Some people get all the Nymphs in a few hundred k xp, others spend weeks on end there to get them. Certainly it'll probably take you longer to get the outfit and thus the gilding on your pick than it will to collect the four pieces to build the imcando pick
  12. MTK does not function when you are not a member.
  13. ^I was doing the fight properly head to head rather than relying on a door to provide a safe spot. I wouldn't count on that even working soon Jagex will no doubt remove it since there are no other safe spots. I beat it now though. As for my prior question: Using gilded d from belt to make imcando results in iron pick on belt.
  14. I hear it can use gilded pick from toolbelt to make it, my question is: Do we know if this removes said gilded pick from belt or does it effectively clone it? The later would be nice and not really a problem if the pick can't be dis-assembled and traded.
  15. Can't say I've found any issue at all 1 styling solos aside from getting Necrolord with melee or Sagitaire with Ranged. Only T10 weapons in melee and ranged too.
  16. Buying in vamp scrim and waiting til after dinner so penance aura is charged. See if I can't power through with the added healing and remove the stress of caring bout prayer so much.
  17. I'm peed off with the later battle in this quest now. I have nex armours and t80 weapons and I'm bombarding you with everything I've got trying all 3 combat styles and you still barely take hits and then heal because apparently hitting u 5 times isn't enough to 'damage you' to stop the healing. Oh and this is all while u throw in a heap of cannoners who seem to hit in the thousands regardless of what you do. FGUHEGOUHDVJNLjsdjnsfjl Relatively enjoyable quest but this battle is just peeing me off so bad, sure make it hard but nigh on impossible with maxed stats, max potions, max prayers and near max gear is a joke.
  18. Its because the Dwarf Quest is still planned for this week. Jagex probably still consider it a September update because the week started with September 30. So, Its not because the update isn't coming, its just because its not really an october update. Yeah conventionally they have never repeated an update in the BTS when it has slipped over in to next month, be it because of a weeks delay (eg dwarf and loyalty) or be it a slip of a day or 2 (eg due out on tuesday 31st and slips to wednesday 1st)
  19. The xp was boosted for solo. The rates are still better for teams, especially if you aren't any good at doing floors quickly; but if you got the speed to do ~5min c6 smalls and ~15min c6 meds or lower solo is reasonable xp, even if not the best rates.
  20. Why? It'd just cause needless confusion to randomly invert the crystal bow from a short bow to a shield bow now and equally it would do the same to invert dark bow from a shield bow to a short bow at this point. It makes perfect sense, if adding in 'normal' wood bows at 60 to simply slide the dark bow up to lvl 70 thereby completing the lvl 70 tier with a shield bow to compliment the existing short bow.
  21. Despite the optimism, I doubt that will happen, unless they drastically change how Asc and Seismics are dropped, I dont think a simple armor set is going to balance something that is prices in a 1:4:20 ratio. The new armour (if it doesnt crumble to dust) dropping from asc could certainly help level ascension to drygore, but seismics will of course remain ridiculously overpriced until such a time as Tectonic stops crumbling to dust to make it a bit more desirable to the average scaper and that drop tables get a serious bolster so that you aren't tied in to needing a team that stays together for days or weeks of Vorago kills for lootshare/rare drops to give everyone a reasonable payout.
  22. Well at easter they did specifically explain in the news post they wanted to move away from real world holidays in favour of Gielinor themed holidays. Hence easter became Guthix Rememberance and will remain as such. I guess Halloween will hence forth be 'Saradomin won holiday' Anyone who expected an actual Halloween themed event was just setting themselves up for disappointment, the same can be said of Xmas.
  23. How was Bol delayed? all they'd said previously was that it would be ending this week. And, I think the first notice we had about the Dwarf Quest being this week and not last week was because a J mod posted it in the future update forum. I read on the forums its supposed to of been today, now its wednesday. :) BoL was only to last 70 days also It was never 'supposed' to be anything. When it launched on the 22nd of July we were told it was a 10 week event, but we were never given any solid end date. On the basis of the weekly resets midnight 29th Sept made sense, as did some point on the 30th for a more exact 70 days so we naturally assumed the end would be somewhere around this point. The ONLY official information we have EVER been given for bol ending was firstly last weeks BTS video meaning yes it would be this weeks game update and in the past day or 2 in we have been told Wednesday is the aim. Ending later than we assumed does not constitute a delay, a delay is when an update is postponed from when we were officially informed to expect it. Chill, Theres 2 updates mixed in one. The Dwarf was a delay and its obviously set back BoL with it. Wednesday is not a day they prefer to update on. But due to dwarf its likely pushed back to wednesday. Due to resets of weekly activities it were likely to be monday as the end. But again, Jagex has not told us ANYTHING of BoL ending other than when it emerged it would be Wednesday. So it hasn't been delayed at all, unless of course it does not arrive on Wednesday. Relax, Sure they have never announced an official date. But it doesn't mean internaly it wasn't delayed. Im pretty sure they'd of loved to be bang on the dot of 10 weeks. You can I dont know the full facts that happen behind them doors at cambridge. Its speculation. Sure we do not know anything behind closed doors the trouble arises is people call it 'delayed' and then give Jagex crap for it and make a massive drama about how everything is delayed and ruined when it is utterly un-needed and un-founded. When in simple terms it was not delayed as we were never given an exact end date until we were told Wednesday.
  24. I think there's plenty of content that can rival/beat BoL if we are talking in serious terms. PoP, GWD, Nex, Slayer in general, DG, Warbands
