  1. BCP > Torags/dharoks > Dragon Dragon is just for showing off wealth, and it's not worth much anymore so it's not even for that anymore.
  2. Not sure on numbers, but I've never seen that ferocious loses out to anything. Can I get confirmation that seers (i) > ferocious on steels? (Obviously, you'd be in Kuradel's dungeon) Well seers ring provides a massive +8 magical attack bonus and even in otherwise maxed magic armour your accuracy with fire surge on steel dragons is not amazingly accurate. But it does however have huge hits of over 400. So it's more common 400's or less common 440's.
  3. Mountain trolls are great experience. Low defense and high hitpoints. I'd advise you use super attack and super strength potions at all times. You have the levels to access warriors guild so i reccomend you go there and get a dragon defender. Killing the cyclops to get the defender will give you roughly 10-40k attack experience depending on luck and the dragon defender is a very useful tool for training (Gives a massive +24 slash bonus and +6 strength) Also get dragon boots asap, they're only about 150k and give a 4+ strength bonus. Get berserker helm or helm of neziznot if you have done the quests to equip them. If you plan on training slayer higher (which you should) you should invest in a black mask. It makes your attack and strength 15% higher on all slayer tasks and this makes a huge difference.
  4. Ignore those guys. Use fire wave with a SoL and arcane stream if you have one (glory if not). If you're hard for money just wear mystic and a god cape. Fire waving them in the above gear is faster than a rapier at your levels and profitable (The bones and other drops *should* make up for the runes)
  5. Better than what exactly? Do you have a seers ring (i)? Ferocious ring on a slayer task? Seers (i) > Ferocious > Seers > RoW > Lunar > Explorer The rate of actually getting something worthwhile is very small, and the extra magic accuracy will give a noticable advantage.
  6. I think the latest you can join is 14 minutes in the waiting room or 11 minutes in the game (The waiting room is in game time +3 minutes as you wait that long for next game.) I'm not certain on exp or cost an hour but i'd say roughly 250k magic experience an hour with arcane stream necklace and SoL. Roughly 1.5m/hour cost? I don't know. I'd use burst if i were you.
  7. Gold are by far the most gp/xp efficient so if you don't have a huge bank just lying around doing nothing, you should make use of this. Green charms on the other hand have the worst gp/xp AND they're much slower then crimson and blue, so you can ignore these unless you plan on using everything and anything you get to get 99 summoning as soon as possible (As i am doing :P) Realistically, the time saved from not picking up gold charms is no where near enough to make up for the lower xp/hour they give. It's still very high xp/hour compared to other skills if you use a spirit kyatt so i don't understand why people would not pick them up or use them.
  8. I could imagine a skill that improves unarmed combat but realistically it's never going to be more powerful than the strongest weapon, and people would just [bleep] about it making the weaker weapons literally useless. I don't see how this could be implemented into the current game.
  9. You can also use rings of recoil, taste vengeance, have a freind do the other 49% of damage to speed it up. Or try your luck with lootshare. I recommend you do this at kalphites as they have a good blue charm drop rate and a very low combat level.
  10. You can high alch while in combat or woodcutting or fishing and many other skills without interupting them at all (If fly fishing, you can actually alch the fish to decrease the amount of times you must drop, while wasting roughly 100 coins per alch.) What i'm saying is that magic shouldn't even be considered in how long it will take as it's just an add-on. Farming is similar but not as such, you can do 5 minutes of farming then go do slayer, 5 minutes farming, slayer ect, making farming only take a few hours total in time actually spent on it, if you do it as efficiently as possible. As for the order of training, i'd recommend you do runecrafting, mining, woodcutting or fishing next as they can all be fairly profitable and will help fund other skills (Or more importantly help fund your merching money, which you can do over the entire time you're not training a money sink, which will fund other skills and equipment once it builds up enough.)
  11. I find it funny how so many people are willing to go to the trouble of getting and using CCB instead of rune crossbow for a +30 range attack bonus. (Often unnecessary as rune crossbow is already very accurate). This costs them 200 extra coins per hit. But almost all of them use broad bolts instead of rune bolts, which is sacrificing +15 range strength for 874 - 96 / 5 = 155.6 extra coins per hit. (Ava saves roughly 4/5 bolts) 15 range strength is worth far more than 30 range accuracy when doing anything other than high level bosses to me (In which case obviously use both) On topic: Unholy book is ideal for offensive, eagle eye kite ideal for defensive. (Kite costs even more to recharge, so don't use it for goblin slaying unless you can afford it >.>)
  12. What interested me is that they both used zamorakian spears and i'm fairly certain they both have a chaotic maul. Sorry to hijack the thread, but what is the most efficient weapon to use at waterfiends? These are the top contenders in my opinion. I always thought it went Maul > SS > ZS > Rapier Full dharoks is pretty good too if you use a uni and summoning potions to heal when necessary. Ohhh... Think i just realised why he didn't use a chaotic maul. He wanted to get over 50% and move on ASAP, the mauls slow hits wouldn't let him do this as well as the spear and perhaps he valued that difference over the maul's DPS advantage, if there is one.
  13. I do. But i'm no where near high enough level to burn magic logs that fast. Hell, i'm not even high enough to use magic logs at all. I'd love to see a video with horn and brawlers though, it wouldn't last very long but it would be glorious while it lasted :D
  14. Runeshark did waterfiends in chaos tunnels with a freind to help (He dealt 50%+ damage and the friend finished them while he moved on) and he was able to get an outstanding 421 crimson charms in 38 minutes. If you want to make the most of the bonus i would recommend you pay a high level friend to do the same for you. Or you could just do waterfiends by yourself and still get a considerable amount of charms. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPRrwVnCZGw
  15. Ahh yes how silly of me, i've only ever had one on a pure so i didn't even consider training anything else. Rapier would be the best all around weapon then, if you can afford the recharges. As for prayer flashing, that's far too concentration draining for general training for me personally, and if you do make mistakes, which you will, you don't have access to prayer potions to recharge it so it could be an annoying walk to the altar.
  16. I do them for points, as All Is Great suggests. They die very fast for their level, due to low lifepoints. You can easily use protect from melee there if you find you take too much damage. The only catch is that you need a good combat familiar to speed up the task, because you can't cannon them. Wyverns are good crimson charms, irons and steels do have low slayer xp/hr but they have good profit (as slayer goes) combined with good effigy rates. I lied actually, i only have wyverns and kalphites blocked but i realised how stupid that was, especially if you're after slayer experience. I quite enjoy killing metal dragons in kuradals dungeon, they're also suprisingly good charms as they drop 2/3 at a time. I'd never unblock wyverns though as i don't want to invest in a DFS right now and they're a pain in the butt to kill even with one.
  17. Yeah, this is the reason you can buy unf's so cheap and why i don't recommend making them yourself. Even with the scroll you'll only be saving a few 100k/hour and i'm sure you're capable of making faster/funner money. As for the bonus weekend, i hope it's not too soon... I just spent most of my bank on the bones for turmoil, i want to have at least 100m to pay for herblore and take advantage of the weekend. Assuming they don't ruin herblore this time around. They have the nasty habit of saying 'Xp weekend! Make the most of it! --Oh, no, don't make THAT good of it, no summoning or prayer altars allowed!--'
  18. I really like Surefooted. It only activates for 20 minutes and takes 2 hours to recharge, but during that time you will NOT fail any agility course. This means you can do ape atoll at level 48 and get huge amounts of experience in comparison to your other options. (And any other courses that you have the level to access that offer great xp without failing) After 20 minutes simply teleport out and do something other than agility until it's ready again. Very specific use compared to reverence of course, but it is probably the most useful for when you actually use it. I'm personaly now saving up for jack of all trades as i am curious exactly how much experience it grants you, and as previously stated, all other auras tested so far are rather lacking.
  19. Not much i can add to this other than 'Yep.' making unf pots gives no experience and very little if any profit, you'd be best just buying the unfinished potions and save them till double xp. (Buy sooner rather than later, as prices are sure to rise as xp weekend gets closer) Has the date of xp weekend been released yet?
  20. Don't block terror dogs if you have a slayer ring... You can teleport right to them, the tasks are always small and you can kills 100s in an hour, and they give quite a noticable amount of blue charms. I have blocked: Wyvrns Iron dragons Steel dragons That's it. I don't think anything else is worth blocking, but i'm always looking for a way to maximise slayer xp. I havn't done the quest that unlocked warped things, but i hear those are pretty annoying. The reason i didn't block mithril dragons is because you always get about 7-8 and that takes a few minutes to do, very fast slayer points.
  21. Rapier by a longshot. Dragons are weak to stab and everyone knows that rapier > longsword even on creatures weak to slash. The ONLY thing i'd use a longsword on instead of a rapier is bandos boss, but even there it's pretty close. (On TD's i'd use maul instead of either.)
  22. Gravite 2h > Gravite rapier > Rune scimitar > Everything else That goes for pretty much every creature in f2p, there is no variety unfortuantely. 2h vs rapier may be debatable but 2h is incredibly accurate and has a similar if not superior DPS to the rapier against 1 defense. So against ankous, one of the highest defense f2p creatures, i can't see how gravite 2h could fail. (Gravite weaponry costs 1 million coins to recharge every 10 hours of combat, so it may not be profitable.)
  23. This is very interesting, i would like to see 100 magic attack vs 99 magic defense, and 100 magic attack vs 101 magic defense. Just to see if there really is a cut off point, or if it's a rapid curve once you reach that level. I, like most runescape players, have always valued offense over defense, so this isn't going to change anything for me, but it's nice to know how right i am \:D/
  24. It's dreadful. There are about 2 bots per dragon. You'd be lucky to make 400k an hour there now. With that said, dungeoneering is well worth training for more tokens, and i hear that they will be releasing higher leveled resource dungeons sometime next year, so it'd be best to be ready for those when they come. ;)
  25. You have access to a yak, why don't you do something better such as Tormented Demons? Anyway, i'd guess that abyssal demons would be better in the longrun because you will get ancient effigies and charms (Assuming you're not 99 summoning) and the ashes really add up. If you ever find that you're getting them faster than you can scroll bank, you could just scatter them. It would eat into your profits a little and isn't the most effecient way for prayer experience, but it would enable you to stay there indefinatley and the prayer experience would certainly add up. (Again, assuming you want prayer experience and aren't some sort of piety pure) For pure monetary purposes, i'd say they're almost equal, with berries possibly being slightly more and much less luck reliant. (Although good luck finding an empty world for an adequate period of time.)
