  1. I think you should just put them in the GE for your expected price now. If the demand doesn't rise yet, no worries, if it does, you get your expected money and make a nice profit.
  2. I disagree. Claws have been steadily declining ever since free trade came back. I've heard it attributed to new methods of killing them (woox16's lure and the handcannon, barraging in virtus) etc etc. No. It's because of the rumoured xp weekend. Go look at their prices, they have been dropping ever so slightly for a long time for that reason, yes, but recently they crashed very hard due to everyone panic selling for supplies. After the weekend i assure you they will go back up in price a considerable rate. They are currently the best special weapon in the game and will always be needed until something beats them. Unless the supply gets so rediculous that theres more than enough for every single person with 60+ attack they will never drop much lower. It's already rediculously low compared to their weaker counterpart, armadyl godsword, party due to rarity, partly due to many players not knowing the actual stats and just assuming more expensive = better.
  3. Games usually last about 3 minutes and your stats and prayer get reset each game, so in your regular strength/prayer oriented gear you should be able to constantly use turmoil and flick soulsplit for the full game, not that you'll need to heal anyway. Overloads are really unnessesary, many players don't even use potions at all. The game most likely won't be won or lost just by you, so any extra effort is nice but rather pointless, and you only need 500 damage to be guaranteed points for winning the game (You should expect to do 4000-6000 a game if only focusing on portals and activley running to the next portal, so this really isn't an issue) I don't think i've ever saw a familiar in there so i'm assuming you're not allowed to bring them, or i'm just absent minded and never paid attention. As said though, really not needed at all.
  4. Everything is actually crashing because xp weekend is rumoured to be in a few weeks time and people want to sell their weapons and armour to buy herbs and other supplies for training. 'coming into the game faster than they leave' is certainly true for many items, but that is not the cause of the rapid decline in prices.
  5. ^This. You can also do Conquest, which goes by reasonably quick if you know what you're doing. ;) you should note that the points in conquest don't depend on winning or losing (in conquest) but only your combat level and how long the game took Not your Combat Level, your ranking compared to your opponents. No, actually, it is just your combat level. Your ranking is based on your opponents, but after 1250 rank is meaningless. Void is very useful for a number of things. For instance it is definatley worth wearing melee void at waterfiends as your chaotic maul really makes the best out of 10% extra strength and attack, more than any other strength boosting equipment would, and it also gives you an excellent magic defense while you can simply pray against or outheal the range damage (If you complete a void dance you get elite void, which gives +4 prayer each for the body and legs compared to regular void). I notice you're already 96 summoning so you probably don't care too much for this, but it's still one of the best cheap charm farming places in runescape. That's it really, use melee void when you need magic defense and are using a powerful weapon. Range void should be used for practically anything besides slayer tasks, it works out as less accurate than armydal or even black dhide, but it makes up for it in damage. It is especiially useful if you have things such as ranger boots, archers ring (i), chaotic crossbow... As these all boost your accuracy higher making the accuracy difference more negligible. Mage void is pretty useless. Maybe if you don't have an arcane you could swap the shield for a deflector and use ahrims body, i'm not sure how that would actually relate to full ahrims for accuracy, but the key point is MAGE VOID DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR DAMAGE. I'm pretty sure people only get it so they can do 1 item switch hybridding.
  6. Frost dragons are the most depressing. You see 130+ bots there all the time, would be good for a video, especially if it resulted in them being reported a whole lot. (Not that jagex would actually do anything about it) Waterfiends also have 130+ bots fairly often, but it's not exactly a hotspot. I guess i'm just biased because i don't really care about low level stuff, but when they take my turf it annoys me greatly. Good places to find many many bots are soul wars and novice boat pest control, i swear over 75% of them are bots for both games.
  7. I had a trip earlier using rapier and a war tortoise for food with a cannon. I did pretty well, about 12 kills. I used generally the gear Quyneax recommended and prayed against mage (Should i do that?) I used summer pies and left 1 inventory space open because this makes him remove 1 item from you, but it also means that that turn won't be an offensive attack like it would if i had no spaces, so it actually helps. (I read a small guide) And maul is better? Alright i'll try that next time, i noticed that rapier was rather inaccurate even with d defender.
  8. So i plan on soloing the elemental mainly for fun but hopefully for some decent drops. I was wondering the best way to kill it. I have rapier and maul, high melee and magic stats and awful range. What equipment should i wear? What should i pray? Should i use dwarf cannon?
  9. So max mage/melee beats max range/melee for TDs?
  10. i've been considering killing KQ recently and was also wondering how chaotics faired vs veracs. Snce the only defendable attack is melee it may be wise to just go fully offensive and forget about trying to tank 1/3rd of the hits.
  11. I'm pretty sure each langauge has their own botters. (Hell, i don't think bots even look at names anyway, just the ID which i imagine is the same.) But to get into one you simply change the language setting on runescape.com front page by clicking the nations flag and then from there you click 'play now' like you always do.
  12. Dragon defender beats DFS or CKS for pretty much anything. The only exception is if you're soloing bandos or something that hits equally hard, where you'll want to use a divine spirit shield. And of course DFS for dragons if you don't have super antifires, but you should get those asap if you intend on doing dragons.
  13. Some rich runescape addict (I'm sure theres a few.) should just buy out all the investors and own runescape, then put effort into listening to the community and putting out updates the community approves of and cutting out the bad ones. This would not be profitable at first, but once the game is actually great and people enjoy playing it, more players will join and you'll make money than ever without having to resort to the sleazy money grubbing and back stabbing ways the game is in now. Everyone thinks they can do better than the current leaders, but christ, i think my 3 year old niece could do better than jagex right now at making the game popular and liked.
  14. As someone else pointed out, you can 'practice' which is just the exact same game without an xp book at the end. Everything said after this was a valid point but i'd just like to point out that claw speicals do have less of an overkill problem, if a troll has 400 hp and you hit what would be a 400-200-100-100, you still get the xp for a 800 hit. Of course there are times where this doesn't work as nicely as that, but it's still less than other weapons.
  15. Well sure, in theory you can get 200k experience an hour with rapier, but does anyone actually come close to that? I personally struggle to get 40k/hour on the average slayer task, 60k an hour on something that gives good experience. Perhaps i was a little too harsh on this method's possibilities as i was far from perfect in my runs, you can essentially complete the entire minigame with nothing but claw specials, with some time added for the small cutscenes and walking to and from enemies and the occasional rapier hit on long waves with poor specials. Overkill isn't much of an issue due to the way claw specials operate. I think if you calculated the theoretical experience rate of this at max efficiency it would blow everything else away.
  16. It works on effigies? Oh LOL. Did i say i'd be using it for summoning/herblore/prayer? I'm sorry, i forgot to include runecrafting, slayer, construction, farming... I wonder if it works with xp lamps, quest rewards and SW zeal.
  17. No it's just because the High Alch animation interferes with the Fishing Animation, the Low Alch animation does not. I'm fairly certain they're the exact same length. And high alch does not interupt fishing (Unless you mean the actual animation, ie not being able to see the rod... But who cares about that?) as long as you don't queue alch, just alch like you did in 08.
  18. Why low alch? Everyone says that! You are aware than high alch functions in the exact same way and is more magic xp/cost? Is there something i'm missing here?
  19. Alch fishing at barbarian river gets about 50k fishing experience and 70k magic experience. Probably the best experience rate you can get in f2p, with fishing being not far behind what you get in p2p fishing anyway. As someone else said, dungeoneering is quite good. You'll get a noticabley less amount of XP and tokens, but it's still worthwhile. Collecting FoG tokens is another great suggestion, f2p is arguably better for gaining them unless you're near maxed, and they will be very useful for battle robe recharges or simply for buying and selling items to the GE.
  20. It takes roughly 1 hour for 20k summoning experience. If you wanted 99 (Which you could easly get in a day or two if you already had the charms.) then you'd save 1.3m experience with this. That's about 65 hours of collecting charms avoided, and about 5m worth of secondary ingredients saved. 99 herblore costs about 200m. With this boost you'd get it faster and for only 180m. Few hours and 20m saved. Prayer is 150m. Another few hours and 15m saved. You could easily get all of these in 2 weeks, saving you about 75 hours of gameplay and 40m for only £7. Pretty good deal. I fully intend to do this once i have the charms. Its LEGAL RWT. Jagex are only angry about it when it's not them getting the money. Anyone want a free, unused account with a months membership in a month or two?
  21. The thing is though, you will take it. You won't be happy, but you'll take it. You're jagex's [bleep]. They can do so many bad things and allow them to continue, you won't quit, you're too dedicated to the game to quit now. And that's why they get away with what any other entertainment company would be destroyed in seconds for, you can't simply boycott them, you're addicted. You could easily get all of these in 2 weeks, earning you about 75 hours of gameplay and 40m for only £7. And those are only the useful skills.
  22. Spend £3.50 while training 70-96 summoning? Hell yes. That's almost 1m extra summoning experience without any extra charms. (And a fair bit of money saved on secondaries, too.) I think it's an awful shame that jagex have sunk this low, this is basically a microtransaction, does that mean i'm not going to abuse it? No. I'm going to make the best of it.
  23. Ok there is a safe minigame named Troll invasion. The aim of the game is to survive 20 waves of combat with some rather weak trolls... Ok, so wheres the amazing experience? Their is a table that instantly recovers full hp, a large chunk of prayer and FULL SPECIAL ATTACK. you can use this 5 times... A WAVE. Almost all waves you can finish with 6-10 claw specials, meaning every single hit of yours is a claw special, which are usually 300xp+ All you have to do is click the table, use 2 specials on the nearest enemy (If possible, use tactics, kill dynamite first*, then troll fathers, then wizards, then summoners, then rangers, then troll generals, then regular trolls, then summonings, then troll runts, then half cooked karasomthing) All you need to do is equip your best equipment and dragon claws. Bring 13 super/extreme strength potions. 13 super/extreme attack potions. Rapier and d defender. Pot whenever you drop down a few levels. Note that it is possible to do this with DDS or any other special weapon, but dragon claws are the best by far. *It is very important you attack dynamite as soon as possible, which causes him to explode and do damage in a similar way to the wrath prayer unless you run away, if you ignore him for 10 seconds he will reach the table which you get your specials from and destroy it for the rest of the game. Thankfully he is only on waves 14, 17, 18 and 19. The rest are not as important to do in order, but troll fathers heal the runts and wizards can teleport you to them which gets annoying. Note that there is a hard mode, which is only 7 waves long. You will not be able to finish off these waves simply with claw specials as they have far more enemies and will have to use rapier/whip for about half of the later waves, but these waves only have 1 dynamite at wave 6 and they come much faster so they may actually be better XP. (In easy mode you start off with just 1-2 trolls and it builds up to about 10, in hard there are about 5 at start and about 15 at the end) This may be better for higher levels. Sorry if this sounds a little 'guidey', i wrote a small one on another forum and copy pasted it with some edits instead of typing it all out again. TL;DR I am getting 85k attack experience here and 28k constitution with supers, less than perfect equipment, piety and 85 attack. I'm guessing 110k melee xp/hour 36k constitution/hour or more is possible with perfection.
  24. Powerfrog replied to Alyx's topic in Help and Advice
Crawlers are fairly bad charms actually, but they drop effigies so often that you can use them on summoning xp to get a notable amount of experience depending on your level. (The money saved on not buying secondaries might even pay for the cannonballs.) I hear that boosts do effect cannon accuracy, so an overload would be the same as an extreme attack (if using melee) I'm not sure if this is even true though. If you killed 50 tormented demons in 1 hour (Hard, but possible) you would likely get 25 crimson charms and 67 blue charms. And they have a very good effigy rate seeing as they're 450 combat. And i'm sure the pairs of claws wouldn't hurt your bank either. *So jealous of people that can do TD's*
  25. For max speed people would recommend fire cape, there are not many tasks you can't do in one inventory of prayer pots/food. But if you care about money SW cape is probably the best option to avoid wasting as many prayer potions, and is certainly the best option for tasks where you're praying a protection prayer and turmoil at all times to avoid excessive banking. All in all, 4 strength is pretty minimal. And 12 prayer bonus isn't too important when your prayer bonus is already so high. So it won't make much difference either way.
