  1. I dunno. I live in Lubbock, so Buddy Holly is pretty much my dad. My dad grew up in America, so Obama is kind of like my uncle. JUST MESSIN BRO. It is cool that someone even vaguely related to you grew up with someone famous. I knew a girl that was related to Billy Mays. She never met him, but they were like 2nd cousins or something. Same last name and everything.
  2. But the point is that airbrushed photos pretend to be real, whereas romance novels do not. If the flawless car has not been digitally enhanced then it at least exists even if generally we don't have the time to polish and buff up our cars to make them look like the picture. No matter how hard a girl works on her makeup she will never be able to stretch her neck and change the position of her eyes like the model's enhanced digital photo, because it never existed in reality in the first place. Doesn't matter, has the same effect. There are women out there tha expect a Jane Austin relationship when they date, based on what they read, and no matter how hard they try, they'll never get it, because it never existed in the first place. Ultimately it boils down to being personally responsible for what you believe. Everybody knows models are airbrushed, yet they choose to believe it's real, making it no different from a romance novel or the action hero that never gets shot.

do you even know what your sig says?
  4. How come only airbrushed photos catch flak for idolizing a perfect fiction? Idiolizing something so perfect it's impossible is something we do everywhere. Romance novels. Supermodels. The cheeseburger on the poster. The unstoppable action hero. The flawless car. Either attack the entire concept of obsessing over perfection (a basic part of human nature) or point the blame at the people that take that so far they ruin their own lives over it. The problem is with the girls that are so shallow that they can't face life without the media feeding them affirmation.
  5. it's only offensive in the way that calling someone fat is offensive. Because it pisses them off that people aren't skirting around basic reality, and they can't handle facing their own problems so they want others to use more "correct" terms. (Large, mentally challenged, other PC crap)
  6. I honestly get tired of the "teen girls look up to them" argument. Is that any worse than being told that being fat is OK, when it's self destructive, adds strain to all parts of your body, and encourages complacency and inactivity? Sure, a few teenagers might try purging to lose weight. But as we near 50% obesity rates, which problem is more prelevant? Better to set positive goals and glamorize health and fitness than normalizing unhealthy and self decieving "fat pride".
  7. I'm thinking about picking up a 9mm for sporting, any suggestions?

i have some [bleep]ing goldies from that site.
  9. What scientific field is that? Gynecology

Have a light schedule this semester, taking some prereqs for my biology major and they're all online since I need the flexibility with my travel plans this fall.
  11. thank my lucky stars I'm not in England. Think Dawn of the Dead remake vs. 28 Days Later. Guns are so much better than machetes.
  12. I leave the doors on my car locked. At all times. Doesn't matter if I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting for a friend, the doors are locked until I need to open them. Sometimes I even lock the doors when I'm in someone else's car. One of my friends drives an old car that doesn't automatically unlock when you open it from the inside, and it [bleep]ing annoys the [cabbage] out of him.
  13. Probably, movies are usually downloaded shortly after both their theatre release and their DVD/Blu-Ray release, so it's easier to catch people during those spurts. Most people caught downloading music are usually caught downloading it shortly after it gets a massive popularity [bleep]e, and it's usually pop Billboard 100 type music. in other words, getting caught downloading Die Hard 1 or Dookie is unlikely, trying to get Inglorious Basterds pushes your odds a big higher (but not much, almost nobody gets caught because the negative feelings it generates in the fans isn't worth it).
  14. 4chan is not powerful. Most that is going to happen is he gets harrassed for a couple weeks until they get bored. Like what happened with that Cheyenne chick that roasted a kitten. War for a week, bored the next. And honestly most /b/tards would be indifferent to this, it's only the moral[bleep] minority that would even raise an eyebrow. As for the law, it's not going to do a thing, if it really took place in 1984 any legal action that could have been taken has long since pased the statute of limitations, nobody can be prosecuted for anything that happened on that video. The police are now involved and looking to press charges. Investigating a possible murder. If he died, sure there will be charges, but I seriously doubt anybody would convict themselves of first degree murder like that, so it's reasonable to assume the guy lived. And if he lived, there's nothing the law can do, unless there's some minor laws that he broke releasing the video.
  15. She actually reminds me of a girl I dated once. No wonder I was never crazy about her. ;) My favorite actress of all time?

Had a friend that said going to the shooting range helped him with his anxiety attacks. Something about anxiety attacks being caused by a feeling of helplessness, and the shooting range helped counter that.
  18. 4 years ago would be 2005 - I promise you, blues weren't 50 gp ea in '05. They were nearing 1m each in '02. Sorry, but when you lie, at least try to make a plausible story.
  19. I'm honestly encouraged, tip.it beat the global 10% average of people intelligent enough to recognize satire. Good job, guys.
  20. Again? Since when was mage EVER overpowered? since ancients, if you ever learnt how to use them properly mmhm....when ancients first came out we didnt have furies or super powerfull c bows...o dont think fremmy rings either......ancients were powerfull..(was it before the whip? i dont really remember) u could freeze someon for 30seconds and hit a 30 -.-..blood barrage would sap their health and add a portion to your own..smoke would poison them and of course shadow lowerds there attack (thus stacking)......i dont thin many people used shadow........but blood and ice was common ....smokes poison is nice but the added runes imo were a waster unlees u brought tllies anyways...since then weve gotten god swords dragon claws..cross bow update.......EVERY CLASS has gotten new weapon upgrades or armours expet mages..../there still the only class thats max is a 30 and yes THEY "can" be powerfull still...but u dont have the ko option other classes do all mages really got is farcasting....and well rangers got that as well (just not as far..ancients can go really far >.<) so in short c bow update made range a god skill...... godswords helped balance melle back out to the rangers mad hits ..expensive swords though >.< d claws overe powered melle spec and k0 options...kinda cheap but w\e and d bow really cant stand up to the claws and well mage has yet to recive anything new armour or weapon wise (Steam staf doesnt count -.-) back OT: the ranging amulet is truly not that big of an upgrade..but +5 atk bonus iis a respectable amount....i mean hell we all paid 1m+ for warrior rings adn thats only +4.... You totally miss the point of this. A skilled mage can be incredibly powerful, if he uses spell stacking, which regularly hits 50+. Said mage can also efficiently safespot rangers, as well as melee users, and effectivly pin them to the safespot position. So, you can't move, you're being hit for massive amount of damage, and you can't hit them back. They have also poisoned you, and totally healed all the damage you did previously. ... And you say mages have no KO potential? Magic's main problem is it's going in the wrong direction. plain and simple. A new spellbook, max hit in the 40-45 range. Incredibly accurate so it has a better chance than just insta dieing against range while still being disadvantaged. 10 second hold spells at max. magic is much better as a sidearm for melee or range with barrage holds and blitz combos, raising its damage with 20 second binds and combo ability would definitely be overpowered. but 10 second, it loses most of its hybrid value while still letting a farcast mage deal massive damage to melee as it stands, no mage, attacking me with nothing but mage, will beat me, using only melee. Ever. No zgs needed, just some solid magic defense to give me some quality time with the mage and my claws or ags. When Jagex released ancients, the way they designed the magic gave more power to the hybrids than the mages, and that's the reason mages keep complaining about being underpowered.
  21. several of the dates on the OP are completely wrong...the ditch, for example, according to the dates there the wildy went safe 5 months before the ditch.
  22. emo is a trend your topic is about people jumping on trend bandwagon. So therefore you get people discussing emo's in your topic. emos dont play runescape except silo. dont know what version of runescape you play this game is like 80% emo and 70% basement nerd (they overlap) the RS community isnt all that bad in reality, just incredibly young (16 yo average? average mmo averages about 22) so wannabe /b/tard rejects and underage gaia kiddies hang out here, bringing the oldest and most tired memes with them to live on their lives in bitter undeath.
  23. Emo is a dress style, a set of mannerisms, and an attitude. what I described is emo. Sure, not everybody that calls themselves "emo" are all that, that just means they're not completely emo, they're on the bandwagon but not for the whole ride Emo isn't a dress style, the dress style of emos is "fashioncore" or "fashionxcore". And no i'm not into the clothes, the mannerisms or the attitude that you'd assume was emo. I'm not emo, i'm not on the bandwagon, I have problems in my life, but hey so does everyone, I'll deal with them rather than make some bull up about how "no one understands the real me" despite having a wealthy suburban lifestyle. If you want to call someone emo, seriously you should know them in real life first =P if you met me you'd know instantly that i'm not \ I know what fashioncore is. no matter what someone does, no matter how emo they act, no other emo will ever consider another person emo if they wear beige khaki shorts and white t-shirts...since all emos are looking for acceptance that's unacceptable to them. they can pretend it's just an ideology all they want, but it's just another bs fad with all the cultural perks.
  24. Emo is a dress style, a set of mannerisms, and an attitude. what I described is emo. Sure, not everybody that calls themselves "emo" are all that, that just means they're not completely emo, they're on the bandwagon but not for the whole ride
  25. They're called emotions. They can be hurt even by people who you can't see face to face. And you can't run around telling people to get rid of their emotions or to suppress their emotions. Just because you can't be hurt by someone over the almighty intraw3bs does not mean that no-one can. not a good deal, then. It's like going to a laundromat while travelling, leaving your clothes in the drier while shopping, then complaining when they get stolen. Sure, it's not ideal, but that's what's going to happen. You WILL get flamed on the Internet. being overly sensitive to where "claws noob" offends you is plain stupid. so what if he insulted your momma, that angry nerd virgin obviously never leaves his basement, let alone has enough charisma to bag your mom.
