  1. Not really if you do just tap the unsubscribe button and be on your way. I hear WoW MoP isn't as bad as people expect
  2. Even if its decided that you dont own virtual items the perpetrator still commited a crime. For example it obviously isn't legal to get a gun and go up to someone and tell them to smile or you will shoot.
  3. Why would that be smart on Jagex's part? They'd make more money enabling people to buy spins. Doesn't mean they should, but smart is the wrong word to use lol. and lose a lot of players again? getting quick cash and losing a lot of paying people is not smart imo. You mean get people complaining for 3 days on forums threatening to quit but wont because they know they are addicted, again, right?
  4. Thats really why it becomes unplayable on a cheat server because most people enjoy rs because of the vast time commitment that goes into being able to say "Im better then you lolol noob" That is also why people choose to cheat by buying gold, botting or direct bug abuse - to be able to say that without throwing in the vast time commitment. Then of course the people who sell such services typically dont even play at all and treat RS entirely as a business.
  5. ^^ Fun servers (or more realistically private servers) don't work because you have everything given to you. Basically you miss why people cheat runescape instead of playing pseudo-runescape elsewhere and that is because people want the real runescape recognition and validity of achievements without actually being someone that puts the work into getting it. Thats why cheaters dont flock private servers (or wouldn't stay on Jagex sponsored cheat servers) very long. The people who care about that have already left to LoL or more sandbox styled games like DayZ or minecraft
  6. The damage would have already been done if you set up detection systems post gain. Why would Jagex be weary to avoid some adding escrow (as in taking the gold into temporary storage until its verified that it was gained legitimately) into the regular game should be obvious. So short of adding something like that which in itself can end up being abused it is very hard for Jagex to work on prevention. With detection it becomes easy to erase trade records (which Jagex already keeps) using deep rooted flaws in-game and transfer to accounts on foreign mac addresses/ip's. Basically prevention is impossible and detection is technically impossible (currently) unless someone messes up bad.
  7. Solomon has the potential to be much worse then double xp tickets on the squeal wheel
  8. Brilliant, they should hire you
  9. Is suomi training farming directly (as in mini games like vinesweeper or livid farm)?
  10. Around what time is suomi expected to finish WC/FM given that he is training those and using one of the fastest known methods?
  11. Complains about early vivid memories Lists his own
  12. Now what would make you deserve the costume if you didn't jump through those hoops? They already have problems with people not testing out the beta, this would actually bring some people on the servers for once. And how are we meant to try/test beta when we cant even access it? This is Jagex's huge fault line that infuriates me "lets run beta/promos for people who spend the whole time [bleep]ING GAMBLING RARES THEY CANT EVEN KEEP, instead of people who actually want to try the new combat system!" (I've had a very bad day) Life is much simpler when your not a moralizer. If someone gets scammed from gambling they made that risk. If someone enjoys it and doesn't get scammed then good for them. If someone chooses to gamble rather then actively participate in the beta, its not like the sky is going to fall. I would say get a life, but this quality you have definitely extends into "real life" so you really need to learn to live and let live
  13. Enjoy your month long waits for hospital visits :P
  14. I doubt they intend to, infact from the little ive paid attention to their plans it seems like they want to further add in bigger bosses and better weapons and armor
  15. this, i have a feeling pures will simply train to the highest defence level free armor is obtained at, then stop. However high risking mains will still be competitive and may have an advantage. Personally i hate gear based pvp. well in games where you lose your gear on death it doesn't make sense without good welfare gear
  16. I wonder if high level defense will be ruined by the fact that high defense level armor has massive costs and hteres penalties for not using the best armor.
  17. but im sure you understand the necessity of it
  18. By the time they are discontinued I will assume there will be 5M+ fish masks in the game. They will probably drop as low as 500k a mask. So if someone or a group of people bought most of the supply and hoarded or deleted them they might rise to the level of santas but definitely not to the level of party hats. In short, yes they will at least be half as much as green masks long term since people WILL hoard. But no they wont ever be 100m since RS already has reached maximum growth and there are just too many.
  19. Puffing in money disconnected from the structure of production is worse then alchemy. See alchemy is a necessary part of the economy for several skills, and there is a balanced number of money sinks to deal with high alchemy inflation. Evidenced by prices always falling except for the Restricted trade period with pvp statues. Puffing in money into existance like that has really damaging effects on the game. SoF may or may not be as bad as pvp inflation because items are not being deleted and high money rewards are rare
  20. If its too hard to code, they must have some shit programmers. Regardless of how good you're own programming skills may be, you're not an employee of Jagex or have any knowledge of how Runescape is coded. It should be easy for any half ass programmer though. The only way it would be difficult is if the code behind the scenes is a jumbled mess
  21. Haha instanced worlds imagine that ;)
  22. I know, Jagex should just put all their development time and resources into constantly churning out skills regardless of how shit they are! /sarcasm I know, right! There has been not a single good suggestion in years for a new skill. /sarcasm Honesly I think that archaeology skill would tie with runescape and future questing. Although I think it needs a name change. The only problem I have with archeology is that it ties so well into old quests. (Same with a lot of other skills) and it feels odd to not have those quests updated, but it would be a mammoth project. you grow a tree in legends quest with herblore...
  23. Combine that with today's confirmation from Mod Jacmob that Optimus will go into full swing in July...hmm... :-k Can't find that quote from Jacmob. QFC, please? that was taken ingame lol.
