http://vnboards.ign.com/wow_general_boa ... 516/p1/?34 Those would be sweet if they're real. No idea though. (Finally BB is considered outdoors )

I guess it depends on when you send it in but I did it on a Saturday (I think) and it said the average wait time for transaction approval (not it being moved) is an hour. I left, checked my e-mail thirty minutes later - and there was a response. Hit OK, approved the transaction, put in my CC number... and it was all done within an hour. Not bad. When my friend transfered his, though, it took two days - that was at the release of this "program." Just hit 54... 4 more levels until better leveling.

Yeah, that sounds like what I was thinking a month or more ago. I was getting a little bored of WoW and decided to cancel - but then just started to play Empire at War a little along side it.. and now am more interested in WoW than I was before. I try not to overload myself - if I find myself even getting a little bored, I stop. There's no reason to stress yourself out over it. Just working on leveling my second lock to 70 on my friend's server. It really is handy to have a 70 paladin who can help you in the Cauldron in Searing Gorge. =] To those who are wondering, it is $25USD to transfer a character to another server and/or another account (you heard me right).

I find all that lore very interesting - someday, I'll sit down and read the "lore" on the official site. Looks pretty intriguing. :) I just rolled a BE pally a few days ago - at 20 right now. Really liking it.

I was halfway through Honored with Darnassus on my mage and I went back and did all of Teldrassil, Darkshore, and Ashenvale and got to 1-2k from exalted - then just bought Runecloth. The amount of reputation you get stays the same and doesn't decrease since you are a higher level. Talk about cheap rep grinding! Especially as a mage... boom boom. However, another friend was doing something similar for Exodar and the reputation given was 5.. or 25.. maybe they applied this rule to Exodar but haven't realized it yet with the newer races? ;)

I do not have any 70s yet but from what I've heard, people just don't use flight paths anymore once they get their 280% mount - which actually save some money when you add it up. 280% must be sweet... =P~

Zangar was pretty cool but especially on the Alliance side - Telredor, that gigantic mushroom base, was sweet. :P

Nice, Nadril! I'll test this new image attachment thing.. This was my highest so far on my warlock:

Wow that hunter sucks.. 13-11? rofl That's what I liked about my warlock - I was always #1 in damage done and almost always #1 in killing blows. They may be overpowered but there's something about running into a crowd, dotting everyone up, and watching the numbers add up...

Great pictures! I feel bad for all the pets that people don't like.. I'll gladly adopt them all. ;)

Sub-forums most likely - which brings up the idea of adding sub-forums to Tip.it. ;) -
I like the idea - it could use some perfecting (for example, maybe topic of the week rather than of the day?) and it may be worth implementing. I've always liked the idea of showing off topics that are more popular than others. I'm a member of other gaming communities that have weekly "newsletters" of sorts that consist of links to threads that were popular that week. It was nice because I didn't have to visit the forum daily to find the "juicy stuff" but rather wait for the thread with all the links. :) Something to build on maybe..
-
Yup, it's not just you. I've reported it and it should be dealt with ASAP. :)
-
True but again, it's just one extra step (right click > Copy link) that the user would do rather than the server. And frankly, I'd rather the user take an extra step to do it than forcing the server to. I'm not arguing with you either - I think the concept is swell. But I don't think it would work too well here (even with unlimited server power) :?:
-
It's a very unique and good idea but I think its usage will be very limited. To the more advanced poster, it could prove quite useful when replying to H/A threads. But to the normal user who hasn't mastered BBCode or memorized the names of certain guides, it would be a bit unnecessary. By the time they look up the guide and find the title, they may as well paste the link into the post itself rather than use complicated BBCode. I like the idea, don't get me wrong, but I only see it being useful for a handful of people - and while I don't want to discourage those who frequently respond to question threads, I don't want to have a modification installed that takes up DB queries and gets little real use.

We had a board before and basically, it turned into major spam. Because the board existed, people felt the need to write up junky posts about stupid parties. That, plus the TET threads were getting more views sitting in General P2P rather than the RuneScape Events board. We could try it again if there really are a slew of event threads in General P2P. But if it isn't a huge problem (and I don't think it is really), let's leave well enough alone. General and General P2P get the most complaints/suggestions/comments because they are "all-in-one" boards. People have their own topics that they like to read - and they have topics that they don't care for. As they continue to visit a particular board more and more, they see all the topics they dislike taking over the topics they DO like (when really that isn't the case). Usually the staff intervenes when it is necessary to clean up said boards but I do have to say that a lot of suggestions that involve "splitting" Gen. P2P are often denied, as they prove to be unnecessary.
-
I meant to respond to this but haven't had time. I don't think it is a bad idea but something to keep in mind - we would need staff to watch over the boards who speak the language. That would probably be the only obstacle I see. And to decide what boards would be created for the two most spoken languages, I think a poll would have to be made - agreed there. We could investigate it a bit more and see what people vote (and how many people would participate) and then from there, look into staffing options?

Signature Preview Suggestion
The_Sith replied to tru_vampire0's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
There are alternatives to looking at your own signature, of course, but I don't see a reason to not have this feature (as long as there is no additional strain on the server (doubt there would be)). -
Improving the Rants Forum: an idea
The_Sith replied to Acinonyx's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Sounds fair to me. -
I can see a staff member editing the news items with links to popular threads (once they are created). Silv tried awhile back to post popular discussion links on the main site in news items and it worked wonderfully. Maybe we can work on doing something similar soon :)
