Telekinesis hands down. -
Hey guys, I'm looking to possibly purchase a new desktop. I have a very new laptop but it isn't handling games too well. I play WoW mostly but am going to purchase WAR/WHO and maybe get back into EAW sometime. Right now, I have it hooked up to 23" LCD display running at 1920x1200 resolution. I run WoW at 1600x1000 on it since otherwise, the performance takes a major hit. Still, all the settings are turned way down and in Outland, I can definitely notice it being quite a bit slower than I'd like. At any rate, I've been taking a look at Dell and HP for possible options. I don't know how to build my own computer - doing so interests me but I haven't ever looked into it. I think I have a feel for what I "need" but as far as video cards go, I'm completely lost. Doing a side-by-side comparison of the possibilities for the low-end Dell XPS/high end Dimension, it seems the 768 is miles ahead of the 256 (numbers wise). But it's also 400 more. And then there's that one XPS that allows you to have two 256 cards (for around 200 less than the 768). I want this computer to last a long time and I want it to be able to handle the normal FOTM games on my 23" display without slowing down. Price.. I don't want to go above 2000 if possible. Any thoughts, specifically on the video card?

Does anyone even use Runescape News forum these days?
The_Sith replied to Freesia's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
I'd like to see it changed so when a RuneScape update is released, a staff member posts an official discussion thread on the P2P board and has the link to that thread on the RuneScape news topic. But the RuneScape news board reverts back to disallowing any posts by "normal" users. I do think the current system as you described is pretty silly. -
There will always be topics that are annoying to some readers - just glance over them, IMO. Unless things get REALLY bad (and they have yet to get this way), I suppose we could outlaw a certain type of topic. I don't want to make an example out of your situation, hellbellz, but a lot of times, people use this method of complaint in order to remove topics that they find uninteresting/annoying. They may be interesting to others, however, so it is important to learn how to distinguish from an actual spam problem and just people's dislike of certain threads. The same goes with creating different forums/subforums for a general topic - people get tired of reading the "flavor of the month" threads and vote for a new place to put them in order to make their browsing easier. It would be very unwise from an administrative perspective to implement these changes each time a new topic makes itself popular. Hopefully I explained myself properly.

What happened to the story? Hopefully you repost it ...

I only see two topics in P2P with "nerf" in their title?

[pokemama 18 June: the guide is correct as written. It states "depending upon your crafting skill level (at least 38)" Level 38 is required to paint a helm - the other levels go up from there. The guide also has a link at the top to the Crafting Guide. The Workshop section of our crafting Guide http://tip.it/runescape/?page=crafting_ ... m#workshop lists the level and furniture requirements for each activity requiring Crafting. We *should* add mention in the Heraldry section that users should reference the crafting guide for more detail, along with a link. Thanks for wanting to help.]

Hi honeys67, I've posted your correction on the Website Corrections Board. Thanks for submitting the info! You can post all further corrections on that board. =]

I don't think we have an official post rank guide. Troll General was added recently to recognize those who have reached 10,000 posts or higher. The few people that have 10,000 posts but not the Troll General rank have a custom rank instead.

Very cute! Black coloring is awesome also. Rosie's mother was actually longhaired (red/brown) and her father was shorthaired (black like yours!).
-
Yep, she is a dachshund - miniature dachshund to be precise (red/brown combo with a black stripe on her back). She's actually quite fat but very "tight" (I guess that's the best way to describe it). Rosie's 12 now and is still doing very well.

I didn't pay attention to the other pictures to be honest. Please avoid posting pictures of scantily clad individuals. >.>

My cats: http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/326/kittycropxu5.jpg (Dottie & Kit) My dog: http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/9317 ... op2ed8.jpg (Rosie) I gave Rosie to a family friend who is ~5 minutes away when we moved (current place doesn't allow dogs). The friend is totally nuts about the dog and spoils her rotten. She couldn't have gone to a better place (besides staying with me). :)

I think I'm heading back to my warlock roots. Been working on mage(s) recently and while I have fun, I do miss my warlock terribly. =[ I can't say I know rogues too well--hardly at all, really--but nice post, Nad. You're getting some good responses too.. hopefully the CMs that lurk pay attention.

If you've always had this problem, you could have your graphics turned up too high - most specifically: turn off Vertical Sync, full screen glow, and death effect. That helped me tremendously on my Mac and when I recommended my friend try it, he gained 20-25FPS.

Sorry, none of this on the forums please. Falls under advertising.

Varrock Library Writing Awards
The_Sith replied to PumpkinPete112's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
I like the idea of giving people something to strive for in both of those boards. I think Varrock Library especially needs a revamp - maybe a new name, new placement on the index.. Thoughts? -

I'd like to see a feature like favorites only it shows for everyone. Somewhere on the forums there could be a list of threads that were "favorited" by users - easy way to scan through the fun threads. People who have used cursegaming for Wow addons know what I am talking about.

To be honest, I've never understood the qualms people have with F2P threads versus P2P threads. So you accidentally click on a thread that's P2P - it's easy enough to go back to the board index and click on another thread. Even aside from that, why don't people want to read threads about P2P if they're F2P or vice versa? This argument gets a bit exaggerated, I think - I don't see any elitist F2P or P2P users who refuse to read threads just because of membership status. What would be an example of a F2P thread anyways? The reason the General board is so ambiguous is because most of the content can be discussed by both members and non-members. Where does discussion about RuneScape overall/in general go? What about welcoming yourself to Tip.it - General F2P or P2P (the latter having more popularity these days)? If I post a thread discussing RuneScape's increase in members over the past month, why would I choose General 1 over General 2? [/random post]
